We talked a lot about being a mum of a child with special needs, how that affects the whole family and how there is a massive wider community of similar parents all around, who are broken, exhausted and need Jesus...and maybe some practical love and care! She challenges us to be 'do-ers' not just offerers of help.
Amy talks about Champions Club, a church program that provides reprieve for care giving parents and celebrates the individuals that the world calls different.
I love how Amy encourages all of us to bring everything and anything to Jesus and know that his shoulders are big enough to carry it all.

I first heard about Stacey when my sister and I owned a small home and gift store and we stocked Stacey’s necklaces. You’ll hear all about them in this episode and how they led her to accidentally start a business.
In a day when there is such push for bigger, more reach, with small businesses, Stacye’s story is really refreshing. Her business has grown over the years, And you know what…she’s never danced in an Instagram Reel or paid for Facebook Ads!
We started with business chats and ended up talking about how in the hard times it’s often the sweetest times with Jesus. We went deep and I’m thankful for the faith and wisdom Stacey shares.

Today I’m chatting with one of my oldest friends, Rachael Willey. We have known each other since our young adult single days. We have travelled Europe together, served in Church together and had more laughs than I can count. We’ve also walked through some really hard times.
Rachael shares on this episode, her journey through Infant Loss and the life of her son who was stillborn 10 years ago.
I’m so thankful for her friendship but also thankful for the way she shares her story with us so vulnerably today.
One line from our conversation “Grieve and keep moving” really resonated with me. I hope you will see the fingerprint of Jesus in Rachaels story even in the midst of such heartache and questioning.

Today we talk with Justine Flynn from Thank you Co. Justine and her husband are co-founders of a social enterprise, working to eradicate poverty through consumer products. You’ve probably used their hand sanitiser in the past 18mths!
This was such an encouraging and behind the brand conversation with Justine and how entrepreneurial burnout in particular has affected her these past few years.
We also hear about a big vision they had when COVID hit and things on the business front were looking bleak.
I also love Justine's analogy of a RIP in the ocean and knowing when to lean in and go with the current and not to exhaust yourself fighting against it.
I think you’ll be encouraged by Justine's story today and how she didn’t let anyone or anything steal her joy, even when her very identity was stripped away.

I love Ange’s story of how, as a Hair dresser God spoke to her, in Cambodia, about helping women from domestic violence shelters with her skills. How God’s timing was perfect in acquiring the house they use for Cherished, and the life transforming things that the women experience there.
I think you’ll be inspired that God uses everyday people to do everyday things to make significant differences in peoples lives.

My guest for today is Laryssa Schleusener. She and her husband James pastor the Collective Church, and operate a mid-week cafe & barber in Brisbane called The House.
They have a full life and we talk all about following her God dream. I love when Laryssa talks about doing the safe dream but then things fell apart, and they did the thing they knew God had put in their hearts, to begin with.
We talk about plant-based diets, miscarriage, and feeding the rich and poor at the one table.
