“Communion at Home “. We will be using this podcast/blog to discuss communion and how to have communion at home.

Heavenly Father,
We thank You for everyone listening to this podcast right now. We pray You would help us to share communion with You. Please speak to us through Your Word. Please bless our time in Bible study and communion. We ask all these things in Jesus Name. Amen
Communion is a time of reflection and remembrance of the Body of Jesus that was broken for the forgiveness of our sins and His blood that was shed for us.
God is inviting the believers to have communion with Him. Communion is for those who have already accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
If you have not received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, I invite you to listen to the podcast/blog titled "Our Salvation". We should not take the Lord’s Table or Communion in an unworthy manner. We should repent for our sins and actively work with the Holy Spirit to sin no more and live a life of repentance.
I will be using this podcast/blog to have communion with the listeners. As there are many people around the world who can not attend church and have communion. God is making an invitation to have communion at home with Him. You can use this podcast/blog as a guide to have communion with God.
You will need to have a piece of bread with you to represent the Body of Christ that was broken for the forgiveness of our sins. You will also need a small cup of grape juice to represent Christ’s Blood that was shed for the forgiveness of our sins. Please take a moment to pause and bring your Bible and the communion elements to have communion.
Let us pray before we partake in communion.
Heavenly Father,
We thank You for everyone willing to participate in communion with You. We pray You would forgive us for our all our sins, and we repent for any sins we have done against you past, present and future. Please fill us with Your Holy Spirit and help us to sin no more. We pray we can participate in communion in a worthy manner and do this in remembrance of You. Please bless our time in communion. We ask all these things in Jesus Name. Amen
I will read the scriptures and we will partake in communion together. Please have the communion elements and Bible for those who want to partake in communion. Communion elements include a piece of bread and a small cup of grape juice.
Please open your Bibles to 1 Corinthians 11:23-26. I will be reading from the NIV New International Version.

“For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
Now let us take the piece of bread and eat it doing this in remembrance of Jesus.
In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
Now let us drink the cup of grape juice together representing the Blood of Jesus that was shed for our sins. Thank You Jesus.

Heavenly Father,

Communion is a time of reflection and remembrance of the Body of Jesus that was broken for the forgiveness of our sins and His blood that was shed for us.
God is inviting the believers to have communion with Him. Communion is for those who have already accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
If you have not received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, I invite you to listen to the podcast/blog titled "Our Salvation". We should not take the Lord’s Table or Communion in an unworthy manner. We should repent for our sins and actively work with the Holy Spirit to sin no more and live a life of repentance.
I will be using this podcast/blog to have communion with the listeners. As there are many people around the world who can not attend church and have communion. God is making an invitation to have communion at home with Him. You can use this podcast/blog as a guide to have communion with God.
You will need to have a piece of bread with you to represent the Body of Christ that was broken for the forgiveness of our sins. Why do we need Salvation and why do we need a Savior some may ask? Mankind was
separated from a Holy God because of sin. Sin entered the world through Adam,
when he disobeyed God. The wages or price of sin is death. Therefore, in order
to atone for one’s sin there needed to be shedding of blood. In the Old
Testament, animal sacrifices were made to atone for one’s sins. The Jewish
people celebrated Yom Kippur where the high priest would go and offer
sacrifices for his sin as well as the people’s sin once a year. There were 613
commandments in the Old Testament, if you disobeyed even one of them it was
like you disobeyed them all. God knew mankind would always fall
short of His Glory, so He made a way by sending Jesus to become our sin
sacrifice and to take away the sins of the world. Jesus Christ was fully man
and fully God. He was born through the power of the Holy Spirit and did not
have original sin passed down from Adam. Jesus Christ was tempted like any
human being but never sinned and remained focused in fulfilling Salvation for
all mankind. His ultimate sacrifice on the cross, shedding of His blood is what
fulfilled all Old Testament laws and gave us access to approach God the Father.
Jesus washed all of our sins away and now we are made right with God and are no
longer separated.
Jesus never sinned or did anything to deserve a criminal’s death and horrific suffering-but He was willing to obey the Will of the Father for our Salvation.
In Luke 23:44-46, it says, “It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.
Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.”
There was darkness over the whole land and the sun stopped shining-because God the Father turned His face away-because of all the sins of mankind was upon Jesus. God the Father was willing to allow His Own Son to die a horrific death-flogged, beaten, given a crown of thorns, spit at, stripped of his clothes, given wine mixed with gall to drink, mocked, bruised-all for our transgressions.
Notice the curtain in the temple was torn in two, the curtain separated people from the Holy of Holies -which is a place in the temple that represented the Presence of God. In the Old Testament, no one could enter the Holy of Holies except the high priest to make sacrifices for himself and the people’s sins.
However, the moment Jesus died the curtain in the temple tore in two-symbolizing there is no more separation between God and man but through Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross we can now come to the Presence of God.
God had a plan for the Salvation of all mankind by Jesus becoming our sin sacrifice on the cross. Jesus is the Lamb of God, the final sacrifice for all the sins of mankind. The Old Testament ceremonial laws required animal sacrifices for sin, but Jesus paid the price for sin forever and there no longer needs to be any animal sacrifices. We are forgiven for all our sins past, present and future because of Jesus paying the price for our sins on the cross.
We desperately need Jesus as our Savior as well as the whole world! God made a way for us, and Jesus was willing to obey the Will of the Father. We truly have so much to be grateful for every day of our life, every day we should thank God for our Salvation and never forget the sacrifice God the Father and Jesus made for us. Communion is a time of reflection and remembrance of the body of Jesus that was broken for the forgiveness of our sins and His blood that was shed for us.
God is inviting the believers to have communion with Him. Communion is for those who have already accepted Jesus as their
Lord and Savior. If you have not received Jesus as your Lord and Savior I invite you to listen to the podcast titled "Our Salvation". We should not take the Lord’s table or communion in an unworthy manner. We should repent for our sins and actively work with the Holy Spirit to sin no more and live a life of repentance.

Why do we need Salvation and why do we need a Savior some may ask? Mankind was
separated from a Holy God because of sin. Sin entered the world through Adam,
when he disobeyed God. The wages or price of sin is death. Therefore, in order
to atone for one’s sin there needed to be shedding of blood. In the Old
Testament, animal sacrifices were made to atone for one’s sins. The Jewish
people celebrated Yom Kippur where the high priest would go and offer
sacrifices for his sin as well as the people’s sin once a year. There were 613
commandments in the Old Testament, if you disobeyed even one of them it was
like you disobeyed them all. God knew mankind would always fall
short of His Glory, so He made a way by sending Jesus to become our sin
sacrifice and to take away the sins of the world. Jesus Christ was fully man
and fully God. He was born through the power of the Holy Spirit and did not
have original sin passed down from Adam. Jesus Christ was tempted like any
human being but never sinned and remained focused in fulfilling Salvation for
all mankind. His ultimate sacrifice on the cross, shedding of His blood is what
fulfilled all Old Testament laws and gave us access to approach God the Father.
Jesus washed all of our sins away and now we are made right with God and are no
longer separated.
Jesus never sinned or did anything to deserve a criminal’s death and horrific suffering-but He was willing to obey the Will of the Father for our Salvation.
In Luke 23:44-46, it says, “It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.
Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my
spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.”
There was darkness over the whole land and the sun stopped shining-because God the Father turned His face away-because of all the sins of mankind was upon Jesus. God the Father was willing to allow His Own Son to die a horrific death-flogged, beaten, given a crown of thorns, spit at, stripped of his clothes, given wine mixed with gall to drink, mocked, bruised-all for our transgressions.

God loves YOU. Yes YOU reading this right now! He has been longing to have a relationship with YOU since the beginning of time. However, people have turned to other things to fill a God sized void in their lives. What does a God sized void mean? It means that there was void God placed inside of you that only He can fill.

We spoke about spending time with God and resting, both mentally and physically. This week, we will talk about how we can avoid carrying the burdens of daily life. The burdens of daily life are always around us. However, they don’t have to be carried by us. When we carry our own burdens, it often leads to unnecessary fear and anxiety. We were not designed to carry burdens or deal with unnecessary fear and anxiety. God wants us to come to Him with our burdens, fears and anxieties. Did you know that God wants us to talk to Him about what is burdening us? Did you know that we can give our worries to God? Let’s look at two verses in Scripture that deal specifically with this.
The first verse is 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)

How do we give our burdens, fears and anxieties to God? We give our burdens to God in prayer. We can humbly ask for God’s help. We can surrender our burdens to Him and ask God to carry it for us.
When we ask God to carry (or even remove) our burdens, God will help us. God’s help for our individual situation can take many forms. Oftentimes, God gives us wisdom and understanding to make correct choices. God may also ask us to make lifestyle changes that are difficult. For example, if we are dealing with a health issue, God may give us wisdom on how to take care of our physical bodies. This may mean that we will need to follow an appropriate diet, exercise and sleep routine. Other burdens may be financial in nature. God may ask us to live on a budget, decrease our spending habits and build up savings.
Other times, our burdens maybe secondary to life choices that have made our life complicated. We need to simplify our lives and avoid situations that can make our life complicated. This requires that we spend time with God and seek his guidance and wisdom in our choices. Last week we spoke about unfruitful things in our lives that can be removed. When we remove the unfruitful things in our lives, we can allow fruitful things to take their place.
The year 2020 has its own unique burdens. The COVID-19 pandemic, social unrest and natural disasters come to mind. There is no one alive today who has not been affected by the events of this year. However, as believers, we know that we are not alone. 2020 has proven to us that we need to cast our burdens, (no matter how big or small) to God. It is difficult, (if not impossible), to deal with all the bad news around us by ourselves. However, when we lay our burdens before God and ask for His grace, He will give us the strength and courage to deal with our daily burdens. Throughout this pandemic, we have experienced the loss of many things. Some of us have lost loved ones, some of us have lost jobs, some of us have even lost their homes. God brings the seemingly dead or broken things back to life. In the book of Ezekiel, we read about how God tells Ezekiel to speak to dry bones that He would bring back to life. The dry bones represented the hopeless state of the nation of Israel. The nation of Israel was going through a very difficult time. They were taken into captivity and their towns and cities were destroyed. The nation and people of Israel had no reason to believe that they would ever be a thriving and prosperous nation. They were overwhelmed, in despair, and gave up all hope of restoration and recovery. They became like dry bones. Yet God did not allow the nation of Israel to remain as dry bones. God spoke to Ezekiel and asked him to speak a prophetic word (symbolically) to the dry bones. If we read further, we read that the previously dry bones started to come together. The now connected dry bones started to have muscles, tendons and flesh appear. The dry bones were transformed into breathing, living beings! This was a symbolic representation of God's intention to Restore His people. Don’t we feel like those dry bones? After the events of the last year, we can certainly understand all that the nation of Israel was feeling. We have experienced the same feelings of being overwhelmed, being in despair and losing all hope for recovery and restoration. Everyone around the world has been extremely discouraged and depressed during this time. The good news is God is here to Help you Recover. He is here to Help you and Guide you.
We can trust and believe God to restore the things that are dead and broken in our lives. God will restore everything that is within His Will. Although we may not recover exactly what we lost, God can give us New Joy in different things. Even though we will not see our deceased loved ones come alive in this life, (for us who are believers and followers of Christ), we do have a Hope to see our loved ones in Heaven when this life is over. By spending time in the Presence of God, we will be able to have a better understanding of what He wants to recover in our lives (and what things we may need to let go). Through prayer, trusting God and seeking His Will for our lives, we may have a new direction and new clarity on the things that He really wants us to have.
In everything, we can trust God at His Word. We can trust Him to Restore the things that are dead and broken. Some of us have felt really dry spiritually. Some of us have been really discouraged and disappointed. But God can Bring Joy into our lives. He can bring life again into our dark circumstances.
We should not give up!! We need to call on Him. We need to Seek Him and bring our burdens to Him. Keep trusting God in all things. Keep praying and persevering. Our God is restoring a new beginning and we will experience a New Joy in different ways. Dear readers, remember this, “…Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9)

We thank You for everyone who is reading or listening to this blog right now. We thank You for this person's desire to be able to hear from You right now in the midst of these trying circumstances.
We pray that You would be able to recover what was lost during this...
“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.” Psalms 127:1 NIV (https://www.bible.com/111/psa.127.1.niv (https://www.bible.com/111/psa.127.1.niv)) God has a plan to rebuild things that are broken and in disrepair. He not only restores but He rebuilds. In Psalm 127:1 its says, “ Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guard stand watch in vain.” What this means is that God blesses the things that He appoints and asks us to do. However, if we do something God never asked us to do, God will not bless our efforts. There are certain things that God wants us to spend our time, energy and resources on. When God is leading us in this, He will bless our efforts. Our efforts will be fruitful– meaning it will have an eternal impact and be helpful to others and yourself. There have been changes with the Covid-19 pandemic in our cities, our nation and our world. We (as individuals) have experienced changes that have led us to re-evaluate what we have lost and what should be important to us. This is a much-needed time of prayer and reflection- for us to think about the things that God wants us to do. We need to pray about what we are devoting our limited time, energy and resources to. While God can restore some of the things that were lost, He is also in the process of rebuilding things. God may move us in a different direction to help us rebuild. Sometimes we are called to do something for a season. Sometimes God will call us to do something different. It doesn't mean that you have done something wrong, it just means that the current purpose is completed, and a new purpose is beginning. We need to be open to the new purpose He has for our lives.
During this time of prayer and reflection, God can give us Wisdom in regard to the things that drain our time, energy and resources. God can show you ways to do things that save time and decrease the level of stress in your life. This will free up your time for spiritual matters and spending time with God. It is important to remember that God appoints us to do certain things. If He is calling us for a purpose, that purpose will be successful. Whereas if you are trying to do something that God has not called or asked you to do -you will not be productive. It will be a waste of time.
During this next season let us take time to prayerfully reflect on the things that God wants to rebuild in our lives. Let us be open to the things that are productive and fruitful. Let us be open to the things that are have an eternal impact. Let us take an honest inventory of our lives. Let us be aware of where are spending our time, energy and resources. Let us be aware of the results of those things. Pray for God to Guide you in the areas He wants you to focus your time, energy and resources. Let God Lead us to be more fruitful for Him in our lives.

We thank you for everyone who is reading or listening to this blog right now. We thank You that You are in a season of rebuilding our lives from this pandemic. We pray for You to show us the areas in our lives where You want to Rebuild. Show us the areas in our lives where You are Leading and Appointing us. We pray we may be able to invest our time, energy, resources in those areas so that we may be used for Your Kingdom. Let us use our time, energy and resources to draw more people closer to You. We pray for our individual callings and ministries. We pray that we may be able to know our given assignments and be faithful in doing all that You called us to do. We surrender before You all our prayer requests, burdens, concerns into Your hands.

Jeremiah 33:11 https://www.bible.com/bible/111/JER.33.11.NIV ((https://www.bible.com/bible/111/JER.33.11.NIV)) God is able to Restore all that was lost to those who put their trust in Him. God is able to bring Restoration and Healing into our lives. We receive restoration physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and financially. We need to trust Him in our despairing and hopeless situations. In these situations, we realize that we can have Hope in God. We have Hope in God because He can make beauty for our ashes and also turn things around for our good. (Isaiah 61:3, https://www.bible.com/bible/111/ROM.8.28.NIV (Romans 8:28)) Our weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning (https://www.bible.com/bible/111/PSA.30.5.NIV (Psalm 30:5)). What this means we may have season of difficulty and pain, but God also bring a season of rejoicing and joy. God can make beauty for ashes. What does the term "ashes" mean? Ashes are something that are broken and in total despair.
God can take those ashes and turn it into something good (make beauty). All we need to do is turn to God in our desperation and ask for His Help. Trust Him and He can help us with our ashes-and make beauty from it. It doesn’t happen overnight, but with consistent prayer and trust in God through hard times, you will see Him work things out for good. In Romans 8:28 it says, God works all things together- for the good for those who love Him and are called according to His Purpose. In our lives, we may have experienced bad things. God can work out our bad things for our good if we turn to Him in our pain. This is a promise in God’s Word we can hold on to. We should never give up or lose hope during tough times. We can continue to trust God when times are tough-because we know He can turn things around for our good.
No matter how horrible a situation can be- God can turn it around- if we put our trust in Him and ask for His Help.
The covid pandemic has been a dreadful and painful season for the entire world. We can trust God, despite all that happened over the last year. He will turn all things around for our good. God has taught us in the mist of this crisis to slow down and focus on what is most important, which is Him. God is able to restore us, He is our only hope for restoration. He is the only solution to our problems. Let us grow in our faith in Him to help and restore us. Let us never forget that we are destined for the greatest restoration of all: an eternity with our God in Heaven. Let us not lose sight of this great Hope that we are given as we live the life that God has given us.

Heavenly Father,
We thank you for everyone reading or listening to this blog right now. You know the hardship our world has faced this last year. We pray that You would make beauty for ashes. We pray You would take our mourning and turn it into dancing, take our weeping turn into laughing, take our sadness turn it into Joy! Bring Restoration to every weary soul. Take everyone’s pain and weariness and bring Joy and Restoration. Restore all things that were lost according to Your Perfect Will. Restore us all physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and financially to Your Perfect Will. Help us to always put You first.
Breakthrough is a term Christians use to define a turning point in having their prayers answered. Sometimes we pray for something for a very long time and when God is about to do something- we feel like giving up. God is saying to those who are tired and weary, do not grow tired and weary of doing good for in due season you will reap a sure reward. (Galatians 6:9) What does this mean? We need to continue to pray, seek God and be faithful in doing what He has asked us to do. We are all experiencing pandemic fatigue. But God is saying don’t give up! Breakthrough is just around the corner. Keep praying, keep believing and keep pressing forward. Our prayers are not empty words. We are praying to the God of the universe who can do anything and nothing is impossible with God. But sometimes our prayers are not answered immediately… because we need to learn to rely on Him. But our prayers are powerful. God has indeed been helping us throughout this pandemic. When we did not have multiple household items to stay healthy, He made a way for that to be possible. God even gave scientists Wisdom to create multiple vaccines and better treatment options. All of these things are made possible because of prayer. So let us not grow tired and weary, but be hopeful in prayer and we will soon see a breakthrough in all of our lives.
Heavenly Father,
We thank you for every reader of this blog. We know the world is having pandemic fatigue, but we pray for You to renew our strength. Help us to run and not grow weary, walk and not be faint. We pray for an incredible breakthrough and for life to return back to normal. Help us Lord to not give up and keep praying and keep pressing through. We know You have brought us this far and we pray for You to carry us through the rest of this pandemic. We are feeling impatient and want things to go back to normal, but we know even when we don’t see it You are working- all things out for our good. We love you Lord, and we thank you for all the Help that You have continually provided for and are continuing to provide for us.
