After graduating from the University of Toronto in 2012, Georges El Masri embarked on a career path that initially seemed promising—an office job with a tech company. Danielle Unsworth comes from humble beginnings as a refugee child escaping from Cambodia with her parents and sister. She saw the struggles that her parents went through as new immigrants and was determined to find a way to achieve financial security. She started investing in real estate at 24 years old when she bought her first property. Since then, she has purchased multiple properties using the buy and hold strategy.
In 2019, she hired a coach to help build a legal secondary suite and started using the BRRRR strategy to quickly grow her portfolio. She is currently investing in multifamily properties across Canada and working with joint venture partners to scale her portfolio. She currently holds over 100 units with various partners across Canada, the USA and Turks and Caicos. She is also passionate about providing women with the knowledge and confidence to start investing in real estate. She is co-founder of the Women Investors Network Canada and she enjoys coaching beginners on how to buy their first rental property.

Josh Stevenson, the founder of Invest North, bought his first income property in 2005 while he was a full-time school teacher in Barrie, Ontario. Victoria Suen is an architect and real estate investor, having started by buying her first property at the age of 19. She took a break from real estate investing to pursue a career in architecture but after graduation, she bought her second investment property in Kitchener/Waterloo to bring together her passions of design, real estate, and business. After dealing with multiple break-ins, unforeseen major infrastructural repairs, and overrun renovation timelines, she knew there was a better way. She learned about the BRRR strategy, converting single family homes into multi-unit dwellings and decided to jump in on a duplex conversion opportunity in Welland. Since then, she’s acquired 3 properties in 2021 and currently owns 8 properties – 13 doors.
