This is an avenue where men are educated on their roles and responsibilities in the home and the nations at large. Men are encouraged to wake up from their slumber and take charge as priest, providers protectors in their families.
For us to make a forward movement towards wholeness as a man, we need to look into our past, assess the damage left by our absent fathers and also honor the efforts of our fathers. This episode, helps us to forgive our fathers and provide the necessary tools to move on
This is a wake up call to the men of our generation. We have been victims of absent and abusive fathers. Our fathers have passed on the bile of hatred to us causing the number of sexual abuse, divorce, prostitution to sky rocket. Do you want your children to be added to the list of the casualties? Do you want to abandon your wife and elope with the secretary like your father did? You still remember how your father punched your mum to death. Do you want to subject your wife, sons and daughters to what you were subjected to? If not, then this is for you. We all need to rise up from our slumber The cycle of male violence, purposelessness, mediocrity and family abandonment has to come to a stop. The success of our future generations lies in the quick realization of our roles and responsibilities in modeling to our future sons what a real man should look like. We need to show to our sons and daughters the values that real men should possess but before then, we ourselves need to develop these values as you can't give what you don't have. To realize this, we as young men need to realize that our back ground is not the reason why our back is on the ground. (There are plethora of examples of men who started weak but ended strong) We need an epic shift in the way we perceive ourselves and how we perceive the whole world. There is a need for us to align with God's plan for the family and take up our roles as the priest of our home. The word of God contains the right formula to produce a real man. We as men need to trust God to show us the original design he had in mind when he created man. Only when we study and inculcate the word of God into our lives that we gradually become real men.

Changing the world is really simple, it actually starts with you. When you renew your mind with the word of God, you become more like Jesus as you become like Jesus you become a light set on the hill. On the hill, you get the opportunity to influence your world. Other men see you change and become the man they never thought they could be and gradually you leave a legacy of yourself in them.

Kingsley Okonkwo said men learn by observation. I found this to be true because almost all i have learnt in my journey as a man has been what i observed my father and other men do. Our lives as an adult is shaped by our childhood. The presence and absence of our fathers largely determines how we perceive life.
You see, to my mind, God's original plan was that boys learn the ropes of manhood by simply watching their fathers. The fathers transfer the necessary tool kits to his son. The father provides him an avenue to identify himself and celebrate his uniqueness. The son learns how to act, behave, relate with nature, how to treat his wife and how to relate with himself and humanity by simply watching his father. The picture that comes to mind is being thrown into wildlife park with dangerous animals blindfolded. Only the experience of a guide can help us navigate the wildlife park coming out unscathed so is life, full of ups and down, Twist and turn, land mines, booby traps and wild beast only an experienced father can help us navigate this treacherous path. Only a true father can model exactly what a real man is.
