Welcome to the Radio Ministry of the Boerne Church of Christ in Boerne, Texas. Join Chris Palmer, Preaching Minister, each week for a message from God's Word.
This week we have a special opportunity to hear from students within our Church who are preparing for the annual Leadership Training for Christ convention in Dallas. Students attend this convention each year on Easter weekend to showcase their spiritual gifts and talents in service to God, His people, and His church.
As Christians, we live in constant tension between our natural selves and our new selves reborn in Christ. We can inwardly feel and outwardly appear to be walking contradictions as we try to sort out this identity crisis. But thanks be to Christ, through whom we have grace in abundance, the Spirit within us, and the future hope of wholeness with God.
Learning when and how to say, "No," is a challenging discipline to master and a valuable boundary to maintain in our faith walk.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth and followed that with a great barrier in the sky, separating us from Him. It feels like that barrier restricts us from relating with Him and from Him relating to us. Yet, the promise of Jesus removes that barrier between and gives us a better way to understand one another.
We all need godly boundaries in our lives, but sometimes we set boundaries that actually keep God out. Hiding and afraid, we only allow God into certain parts of our hearts, but when we're honest and humble, we'll experience the fullness of his healing and love.
Jesus had controversial and unconventional boundaries for himself, but they revealed some of the highest priorities in his ministry and his relationship with the Father. This week we'll explore some of the boundaries in the life of Jesus.
If we are to have healthy and meaningful lives, then closeness to Jesus is a must. In doing so, the benefits can be felt and seen for generations to come!
Life is fragile and precious, needing to be protected and preserved. But at the tomb of Lazarus, Jesus reveals a whole new understanding of life and death.
Jesus declared that he is the good shepherd who puts the well-being of his sheep above even his own life.

Jesus declared that he is the light that leads to life, a stark contrast to the darkness of the world.
Where do we turn when life turns us upside down? At the Last Supper, Jesus drops a bombshell on His disciples when He proclaims that He will be leaving them soon and subsequently sends Judas to begin the journey towards the cross. The disciples panic and are at a loss, as I'm sure we would be if we were in their shoes. God provides us with direction when we don't know what to do next, when we feel lost, and when we lack an understanding of His will.
This week we'll look at Jesus's "I Am" statements and his claims to be not only a teacher or prophet, but actually God himself.
Christ calls his followers to be servants, to put others above ourselves, to be sacrificial and submissive.
Easter 2021: Today we remember and celebrate the resurrection of Christ Jesus our Lord! Because of the empty grave, the joy of humanity is secure!
Forgiving wrongs against us is hard. Forgetting those wrongs is often even harder. But Jesus models how both are possible to bring about healing and reconciliation.
The real work of ministry is done in between the high’s and low’s of one’s faith. Christians often experience mountain top experiences with God where their faith is more real than ever before. In the same way, Christians also experience valley lows where their faith feels incomplete or lacking. In the meantime is where we live most of our lives and it is where Jesus has called us to do His work for Him in order that His Kingdom may be established on earth as it is in Heaven.
Often Christians look at the unbelieving world with fear and worry, overwhelmed by the task of making disciples. However, what we see in Jesus's experience and teachings, is that there are so many who are hungry for the gospel and ready to hear it.
Jesus loved kids! He noticed how naturally they perceived and pursued the Kingdom of God. May we all do the same, regardless of our age.
In a Capitalist culture, assistance with the poor and marginalized is a point of conflict, yet God's chosen people are called to help those in need and walk alongside them towards restoration and justice.
