Gangsta Island is a new urban podcast dedicated to throwback hip-hop of the Golden Era (circa 80s/90s). The purpose is to show love and immortalize some of the founding fathers/mothers of the genre and give them their credit on a bigger platform. Episodes drop weekly.
In this episode of Gangsta Island TV, I share my thoughts on the new album from André 3000, the legendary rapper from Outkast. New Blue Sun is his debut solo album, and it’s not what you’d expect. It’s a collection of instrumental tracks where he plays various flutes, creating a unique and soothing sound. But is it a masterpiece or a disappointment?
