In conversation with Nayebare Shiella.

Shiella and I talk through our own personal experiences with grief. We explore the ways in which we survived, and found beauty in-spite of deep loss. For both of us, grief is something we live with, memories of how much we have loved. It is also a reminder to stay present, to live as fully and as intentionally as we can, for as long as we have.

Shiella runs a design and build firm; Archies where she spends her days bring to reality visions of her love for architecture. She is also currently pursuing her degree in psychology. Sheilla is truly multitalented and for as long as we have known each other has been great at singing, dancing, acting and all things creative. She is a mother of three.

In conversation with Nabaasa Babrah.

Babrah and I discuss how else we can commune and relate with each other. We speak through how relationships are currently structured; the hierarchies that have been dictated and the great limitations that come with that. For both of us, it has been important that we step out of what is considered to be culturally acceptable in order to allow us experience the full expansiveness of what our relationships can feel and look like.

Babrah is a soon-to-be-licensed therapist. She is also a business woman, who enjoys traveling the world and having conversations that speak to reimagining and remodelling our current reality. Babrah is determined to remain free and to cultivate relationships that allow her to embody her full self.

In conversation with Eshban Kwesiga.

We talk about the ways in which work has been traditionally structured, discussing the journey to redefining what our priorities are and how work can feel like.  For both of us, the pandemic was an opportunity to redefine what our priorities are, and we talk through some of these internal changes we are undergoing.

Eshban is a dreamer and lover of most things design and history. While his 9-5 is in global philanthropy, his true love is everyday philosophy and doing concerts in the shower. He is trying (miserably) to pick up ceramic pottery as one of his loves.

In conversation with Ophelia Kemigisha.

We talk through the process of coming to freedom - and the necessity of remembering to centre pleasure. In the midst of all the chaos and systemic oppression that we are dealt with, this often seems frivolous, and yet it is as urgent. Together, we talk through some of our own personal journeys. And hopefully spark  a curiosity or a knowing on you to do the same.

Ophelia is a feminist lawyer, writer and organiser. More recently, she is in deep exploration and learning of transformative justice and abolitionist praxis that focus on restoration and harm reduction.
