Live LOOPING with ableton is damn damn damn so much fun! It's like 2 or 3 or 4 or more versions of yourself playing with yourself hahah! I don't know if i made any sense here but yaa!! Looping something and then building on it is so much fun and it does'nt restrict you to be stuck ofcourse it does also because you might want to change lot of things in between but come on sometimes just loopig a thing and playing on top of it is mad, creativity just flows beautifully also you are playing in perfect time as you loop it on a metronome!
I am using a triangle here to loop the first bit and then solo on it with an earthen pot.. South India has this instrument called the GHATAM, which is actually an earthern pot. iIt sound too beautiful and has super duper rhythmic compositions. VD. VIKKUVINAYAKRAM sir is the king of GHATAM!
There are different scales of ghatam too!
What I'm playing here is literally a pot from a Nursery..I actually went to the nursery to buy some plants and then I saw this POT there and started playing it. The vendor asked me what I was doing? heheh I told him I am a Musicia, to which he showed me a wall stacked with these and asked me to go have fun and pick whichever I want to!!
Hhahah I think I spent almost an hour just chilling there!
I WENT TO NURSERY
I SEE POT
I BUY POT
I PLAY POT hahah

MY India friends must've heard this song chod do aanchal the old one and the rendition by bombay vikings also!!I love this song and what beautiful groove this had!! simple oooof no facny stuff just groove and Ijust wanted to get up and go dance!!!
Ofcourse the sound matters a lot!! the sound engineer needs to be so good!!
It really matters how you are hearing yourself on stage. i personally love IN EARS now as its just so sorted and less noisy plus I have my favourite in earphones so it just sits well and sounds awesome! This video clip has the sound of a GOPRO, and not the audio recorded at the DAW.
BUT GROOOOOVE YA'ALL!!!!

hola hola hola!!!!!
MUSIC is the silence in between the notes
IT'S not always that we need to keep playing all over the song! Some spaces are the magic! That silence in between is the real magic space! I Love leaving some much breathing spaces and finding pockets while playing music! It works like a catapult, you pull back to go forward in full swing! cheers!

Heeheheheh As you can see my antiques while playing tabla, I've always
wanted to do this on stage in front of people, but I am shy like tha.
While I was recording the video I felt a little comfortable as no one was
watching me live, but I actually am coming out of my comfort zone and do all
these fun elements live also! Ofcourse I am toooo much fun on stage but
going alll out is what I want to be doing confidently. Lot of times, there is
so much I want to do on stage, in terms of interacting with my audience,
but becasue of a little but of shyness I think myself and my audience, both of us
are missing out on so much! I generally seek encouragement I feel. And I guess
thats not wrong at all! Nobody has anything to lose while encouraging the other!
Infact the person encouraging will literally see results and witness something
that otherwise wouldn't have been on display and also the gratefulness of the
person you encouraged! ENCOURAGEMENT is such a underplayed emotion,
we all need to work in it and then actually see a better world!
ofcourse there are bads influences but a coin has two sides!!!
Another fun fact!! I love arabic rhythms! have tried some on the tabla in this
composition. cheggit out

A recent gig I did in goa! I loved my setup
and always love to experiment with the whole hybrid kit scenes.
Adding Kick and some hi hats and Tabla is definetly a treat for me and I'm sure for you as an audience too!! π₯°π₯°
independancy of limbs while playing drums is very necessarry! and ofcourse here Im playing 2 instruments that need different styles and techniques!! Its really jogs my brain hehe and just what pleasure it gives me oh my goodness I think it adds wrinkles in my brain π€£π§

hellooo Familiaaa how have you been?
Do you guys like trance, well the slower trance ?
I personally have a different perspective also,
when it comes to the word TRANCE and when
its used musically. Usually the thought
that comes to mind is fast paced music
with airy eery sounds and synths etc. For
me I do relate it to that but I try to go deeper
in the literal word sense. Meaning TRANCE
as a word in itself and a feeling and meditation
space! That atmosphere The Literal Space!
While I was playing this piece, I could feel
lighter and in the huge celestial space,
which definetly was the choice of notes and
the BPM (Beats Per Minute)
I'm composing a track on this piece with Live looping
Will share it in this universe soon!

heyheyheyyyy I just love playing with a DJ!!
Mad fun!! It literally feels like dancing and
playing together! What a mad fun trip! like

About thr challenges woaah thats too much fun coz I never know what the Dj
ia going to throw next and me hopping on the beat bang on 1 is like literal orgasm!! wooof wooof! so much fun and dance!!
Well I definitely know my Hive family is global! so just putting it out in the universe that I play in a club In YOUR city sooon. call me for gigs Im super fun heheh

Hey Hey familyyy, sorry I was out gigging and on a
familiy visit chill time and there wasn't good
internet there so couldnt upload stuff!
But here I am with a drum solo I recently played
at a gig!
when I used to solo back in the day, I actually used to
focus more on speed!! But now I realise that it's
all about the GROOVE!!!
wooooo GROOVE man GROOOVE!! Ofcourse speed
practise and show off also needs to happen
but always in a groove! You build speed with groove!
Victor Wooten the legendary bass player
once played 4 bars of damn beautiful groove and stopped but the
audience still kept grooving and bobbi g their heads! whaaaataay feeeling I
must say! The power of groove ooo yeaaah!
wow I think I must've mentioned Groove 40022 times by now but yo thats the real deal!
GROOVE it ya'all!
Also tell me how you like my mad colorful attire!!! I love dressing up β₯π€©

I really love the Tabla and am always fascinated the way it is played.
Let me tell you a beautiful fact. Tabla is the only multi timbral percussion instrument
in the whole world. It's got two notes SA and RE (DO and RE).
As you see I'm playing two instruments in this video which genreally
is the same for every one. The bass drum in this set is called a "BAYAN"
(Left) or a "DAGGA". I'm a left handed tabla player and this "bayan" comes on my right
side but thasssss okhaay we all know this world is
a right handed dominated world!! Hmmmm US lefty peeps are the
few chosen super amazing ones ;) shoutout to
all the LEFT HANDER AMAAZING PEOPLE!! WOOT WOOT...
ok, coming back to the "DAGGA" This is for the lows and as you can hear it's like a bass guitar.
I love the sound of this drum and the amazing low frequency is produces.
The other instrument is called Tabla and this Tabla is tuned to Ab note.
So this tabla gives me Ab and Bb notes.
I'll keep talking more and giving more insights on this beautiful instrument as and when
I keep uploading tabla solos.
The way I've started the solo is this has a very lovely thought. You can
hear a specific buzz in the first few notes and it's got it's own tempo. The moment
I heard it on the first note I hear the tempo and decided to build on that tempo.
For me playing music is a very spiritual and godly feeling! I'd say I get lost every
time I touch an instrument and it takes me to another trance. I'm just a medium.
Adios for for now amigos.

I had once performed this beautiful piece!
ok so as we all know that this song WE WILL ROCK YOU by QUEEN is a massive hit. I thought its the easiest to sing and what a lovely chorus it is is'nt it !
I thought let it actually be sung in chorus by the audience and I wanted to go wild with beatboxing and some indian konnakkols.
I've used Indian rhythm elements here to enhance the rhythmic pulse of the song! using simple konakkols
dhi, dha, taka, ta, tita, dhimi, dheere, dheera, takita and making combinations with these interspersed with the western beatboxing sounds of the kick, snare, hi hats, vinyl sounds
and some lip roll bass. ULTIMATELY
ALL JUST MAKING SOME BEAUTIFUL RHYTHM TO GROOVE ON THE ICONIC SONG "WE WILL ROCK YOU"
I always say, The artist and the audience are like mirror image!
It's a complete give and take relationship.
I really respect the audience when they participate actively and tbat encourages me even more to give my 100202011020 percent energy!
I'm so so grateful to be playing music and taking my people on a journey with me in my world. Thankyou universe for the lovely superpower! I'm blessed π§Ώβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈππΌππΌππΌππΌ
