Today is Sonya's mother's birthday (BaBa's) birthday. Happy Heavenly Birthday BaBa! Sonya is having difficulties obtaining a headstone for her mother. Hopefully that issue will be resolved soon. February is Black History Month. The church Sonya is a member of is having a Black History program. Its is nice the churches are still celebrating black history. The schools seem to be trying to do everything to eliminate any black history programs. This is sad. Black history is history. You cannot have one without the other. We both agree investing in property in our home town would be a good idea. We need to think more on it. Say It!
It is national carrot cake day. Sonya apparently enjoys Costco's carrot cake. It is national eat ice cream for breakfast day. Reesheda believes that is too much sugar to consume for breakfast. It is also national missing persons day. Never stop searching for your loved ones. Sonya thinks it's a good idea to put chips in people to help locate them. Reesheda does not agree. Reesheda believes other measures can be done to help decrease the number of missing people in the US. Travel in pairs, conceal and carry, self defense classes, be aware of your surroundings- PUT THE PHONES AWAY. Reesheda and Sonya both want to know why people spend so much time and energy being evil to one another. Why do people do what they do? Say It!
Are you a cheese lover? Today is national cheese day! Enjoys your favorite cheese today in your favorite dish or with a nice glass of wine. How do you feel about getting or receiving gift cards? December 2023 had some unexpected events for the Harper family. We experienced the death of more of our loved ones. This added to the sadness and the memories of the many people we loved and lost during this time during previous years. We did enjoy our children and grandchildren for Christmas. We made it to 2024! Happy belated Thanksgiving! We pray you all had an awesome and blessed Thanksgiving. Today is national play day with dad! If you are blessed to have your dad around celebrate your dad today. There seems to be more and more "me too" cases coming to light lately. What is the statute of limitations on "me too"? I love old school artist. I appreciate singers/performers who can really sing. I appreciate all artists and respect their creativity but I really love true talent.Who is your favorite artist? Say It!
Happy Veteran's Day! Thank you for your service. We truly appreciate your selflessness, dedication, courage and honor. We cannot thank you enough. Lately, Reesheda's visits to the doctor have been somewhat stressful. So far the reports have been positive but with caution of what could occur if certain things don't change. Have you had a scary doctor visit? The crime in STL is sad. At least two African American men were found recently who, unfortunately, had been shot and burned. We are. sending our prayers to the families. This is horrible. A young lady was picking her child up from a daycare facility and a guy jumped in her car and took off. We must do better STL. Do you think there is longevity in marriage? Say It!
Halloween was really cold this year. November 4 2008 President Obama became the first African American President of the US. Today is national candy day. There have been some fighting at a local high school here in the north county St. Louis area. The police have been involved. How can the community help? Something must happen to change this around. Sonya's place of employment is implementing automation which is inevitably causing layoffs. Tell us how you feel about automation. Some lucky person won the Powerball in California again. What a blessing. Today is national dessert day. What is your favorite dessert? Say It!
Unfortunately, we had to take a break from our beloved podcast. We are happy to say we are back! There are some kinks that we have to deal with, but we are moving right along. October is breast cancer awareness month. Please remember to get yourselves checked. Early detection can save your life.
There is entirely too much senseless violence occurring in the St. Louis and surrounding areas. Mental health resources can help reduce some of these events. Get your breast exams. If you are told you have dense breast tissue seek guidance from your healthcare provider to ensure you have access to testing. Say It!
Reesheda had sinus issues over the past couple of weeks. Sonya received nice gifts for Valentine’s Day. Reesheda want all of the money she is paying into social security back. WAH (working at home) is the new normal. There is a canine museum here in St. Louis.
Did you know Tums was created in St. Louis? Sonya is a fan of Dr. Seuss. Prayers to everyone who has lost a loved one; Rickey Smiley, Kelly Bond, etc. May the Lord give you strength to endure.
Derrick and I enjoyed the 2023 RV Show at the America’s Center downtown STL. Reesheda has a different opinion in regards to what is considered self care than Derrick does. With the latest murder of Trye Nichols, what do you tell your black male drivers?
Reesheda and Sonya wonder why so many companies want their employees to return to the workplace full time. The work can be done from home. Covid taught us that work life balance is very important. Reesheda spoke on some of the winners of the Pulitzer Prize. Do you expect you from others? When you do this are you disappointed? Say It!
Today MLK is celebrated. Reesheda’s son had to be sedated to get some dental work done. Dental work is really expensive even when you have dental coverage, the patient pays a lot out of pocket. Egg prices are out of control.
Both ladies are planning family trips. Reesheda has to figure out how to get her small ones on an airplane. Reesheda wants to see New Edition in concert. Sonya wants to see Tank.
We are blessed and grateful to see another year. 2023 is here and we are excited about it. New year for new beginnings. Reesheda plans to focus on patience and eating better. Reesheda also plans to do something about her bad foot. Sonya plans to do a daily affirmation journal. She also plans to move this year. Together we plan to gain more subscribers and to have guests on our podcast. All positivity in 2023! Le’s go be great!
Sonya has leave that she needs to take. She can only rollover 40 hours. I have no leave to take.
Sonya hosted a successful brunch! She provided nice swag bags. We both are extremely interested in learning how to be productive in the stock market. We feel that we can greatly increase our retirement income by doing so,

My brother had some set backs with his heart transplant but to God be the Glory! He is still here. The young lady, Shanquella Robinson, went on a trip with so called “friends” and murdered by one of them.
