Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. In #mythology, #folklore and speculative fiction, shape-shifting is the ability to physically transform oneself through an inherently #superhuman ability, divine intervention, #demonicmanipulation #sorcery, spells or having inherited the ability. The idea of shape-shifting is in the oldest forms of #totemism and #shamanism as well as the oldest existent literature and epic poems such as the #EpicofGilgamesh and the Iliad. The concept remains a common literary device in modern fantasy, children's literature and popular culture. Could #shapeshirfters be real?
Former #militaryintelligence officer #DavidGrusch told a House Oversight subcommittee that all the stuff you’ve read on the internet is true! Grusch claims the government collected debris from #crashedalienspacecraft. He also told lawmakers that #federalretrievalteams have collected #biologicalremains from #alien bodies. Neither Grusch nor anyone else claiming to have knowledge of #secretgovernment #UAP programs has ever been able to publicly produce convincing photos or evidence. #UFOs #UAPs #Thetruthisoutthere
Inheritance refers to the #assets that an individual #bequeaths to their loved ones after they pass away. An #inheritance may contain cash, investments such as stocks or bonds, and other assets such as jewelry, automobiles, art, antiques, and real estate. Should family members expect an inheritance? Not everyone agrees that parents should leave anything to their kids? #ShaquilleONeal has revealed that his children will not be given access to his inheritance unless they obtain at least two degrees.
The following is a list of historically famous prison escapes, and of people who escaped multiple times:
John Dillinger was a notorious bank robber who operated throughout the Midwest during the Great Depression. He broke out of the Allen County Jail in Lima, Ohio by having his gang pose as officers and infiltrate the prison. Only a few months later, the gang was re-captured when the hotel they were staying in caught fire. He was incarcerated while waiting to stand trial for the murder of a police officer in a bank robbery.
On April 29, 2022, Alabama murder suspect Casey White managed to escape Lauderdale County Jail aided by correctional officer Vicky White (no relation). The two were captured in Evansville, Indiana on May 9, 2022. Vicky died hours later that day from a self-inflicted gunshot wound suffered just prior to capture.
On 10 June 1977, the convicted murderer of Martin Luther King Jr., James Earl Ray, escaped from Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary in Tennessee, along with six others. Ray was recaptured after two days. He had been running and hiding in the mountainous forest surrounding the prison.
On 30 December 1977, serial killer Ted Bundy escaped from prison while most of the guards were off for Christmas. He did so by sawing through the vent of his cell with a hacksaw blade, ending up in the chief jailer's apartment (who was away on Christmas break). He then stole some clothes from a closet and left the building. Earlier in June he escaped from a courthouse by jumping out a window in the court's law library.In 1244, whilst imprisoned in the Tower of London, Gruffydd ap Llywelyn Fawr crafted a makeshift rope made of bed sheets and cloths, lowered it, and climbed down. However, because he was heavy, the rope broke and he fell to his death.[Japanese prisoner Yoshie Shiratori broke out of prison four times, first from Aomori Prison (1936), Akita Prison (1942), Abashiri Prison (1944), and Sapporo Prison (1947). A novel and TV-drama Hagoku was based on his true story.In the Alcatraz escape on June 11, 1962, American criminals brothers John and Clarence Anglin, and Frank Morris escaped Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary on Alcatraz Island using an inflatable raft, never to be seen again. It was never determined by the FBI whether they succeeded in their escape or died in the attempt.
A #submersible is an #underwatercraft which needs to be transported and supported by a #surfacevessel or platform. This distinguishes submersibles from #submarines which are self-supporting and capable of independent operation.
Authorities have said the #Titanic touring submersible that went missing suffered a “catastrophic implosion,” killing all five people on board while descending to explore the wreckage of the famous ship.
That submersible, known as #Titan began the two and a half hour trip early Sunday and lost contact with its mother ship, the #PolarPrince an hour and 45 minutes into the journey.
The tail cone and other debris from the missing submersible were found by a remotely operated vehicle about 1,600 feet from the bow of the Titanic, which rests about 13,000 feet deep in the North Atlantic Ocean, the US Coast Guard announced

A #phobia is an #anxietydisorder defined by a persistent and excessive #fear of an object or situation. #Phobias typically result in a rapid onset of fear and are usually present for more than six months. Those affected go to great lengths to avoid the situation or object, to a degree greater than the actual danger posed. Phobias can be divided into specific phobias, #socialanxietydisorder and agoraphobia. Specific phobias are further divided to include certain animals, natural environment, blood or injury, and particular situations.
The most common are fear of spiders, fear of snakes, and fear of heights.
Around 75% of those with phobias have multiple phobias, we discuss the most common ones.

Leonard Peltier is a Native American activist and member of the #AmericanIndianMovement who, following a controversial trial, was convicted of aiding and abetting murder and has been imprisoned since 1977. He was sentenced to two consecutive life terms in prison for aiding and abetting, after the death of two #FBI agents in a June 26, 1975 shooting on the #PineRidge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Peltier's co-defendants were not guilty by reason of self-defense. Had Leonard been tried with his co-defendants, he also would have been acquitted. Unhappy with the outcome of that trial, prosecutors set the stage for Mr. Peltier's conviction. #freeleonardpeltier
AlexJones has been spreading debunked stories about the #SandyHook #schoolshooting since it occurred on December 14th, 2012 in Newtown CT. Jones was sued in 2018 for defamation by three parents whose children were killed in the shooting. On August 4, 2022, Jones was ordered to pay $4.1M compensatory damages to Sandy Hook parents and the following day, he was ordered to pay a further $45.2M in punitive damages.
