Dear God,  I think I'm ready.

Scripture of the day: Philippians 3:13-14 "Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."
Approaching adulthood has been the weirdest yet unnerving eye-opening experience. Here at camp, I've had a lot of alone time. In fact, this is my first time away from my family.

I've made the decision that Summer 22 will be a summer of preparation. If you've listened to my recent episode "The magic of beginnings" you'll hear a bit about my experience working at Stoney Creek Ranch. Besides the heat, I love it here.

Leadership is the capacity and will to regroup men and women to a common purpose and the character which inspires confidence.

How can you walk in your purpose? How can you be fruitful?

Dear God, I think I'm gonna like it here.

As they say in the plays, "the show must go on!"

This next chapter has a fresh and clean slate with room for growth. Say goodbye to the deprivation and say hello to the rise of new callings. Recently, I've graduated High school and we all know how big of an accomplishment this is for some.

You can't start the next chapter of your life is you keep reading the last one. Making a big life change is pretty scary. But, you know what even scarier? Regret.

Psalms 31:15 "God's perfect timing does two things: It grows our faith  as we are forced to wait and trust in God and it makes certain that He, and He alone, gets the glory and praise for pulling us through."

Each day is a blessing. Each day you are given breath, you're given an opportunity, you're given a choice. You don't have to walk in this world with sadness, pride, or resentment. You have the choice to walk in peace, you have the choice to walk in love and generosity. You have the choice to walk in confidence.

Don't trade God's timing for your deadline...

Tap into 1 Corinthians! Also, feel free to contact me through my website haydensimone.org to be interviewed on the show :)

Also to Ms. Johnson, thank you for the lovely encouragement. It is beyond appreciated. It's people like you and your lovely spirit who motivate me to strive big.

Ah Ah Ah...back it up!

This episode is about distractions. The devil will sometimes send you distractions to distract you from what God has already called you to do! Stay focused. Now is the time to dig deep and make sure you have a clear vision on what you're supposed to be doing, and how you're supposed to be doing it. Now is the time to "lock in."

Scripture of the Day: 1 Corinthians 10:13 "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."Challenge of the week: Daniel's prayer. Give thanks and praise by praying on your knees 3x a day.

Scripture of the day: **Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

"Maybe the journey isn’t so much about becoming anything. Maybe it’s about unbecoming everything that isn’t really you, so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place.” -Pauolo Coelho

Scripture of the day: Colossians 2:7 "Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness."

-"Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved." - Helen Keller.

I get it, growth can be scary. Luckily, I was blessed to have two amazing young women to call my sisters; Dezaree and Hailey. There's been plenty of times they've wiped my tears and dusted me off when I faced problems that just seemed to "big"  at the time. Now that we're all older, we're able to speak on the things that maybe we don't ask ourselves often enough.

1) How do you deal with anger, frustration, and doubt?
2) When did you were growing spiritually and mentally?
3) Describe the feeling of outgrowing people
4) What're some short-term goals you have and how are you actively trying to pursue them?

Challenge of the Week: Create a To-Do list for the week.

This episode is just to get a gist of who I am and why I do what I do!
My friends would describe me as "churchy", positive, bright, wise, and knowledgeable. This episode is called "Shoutout to Granny" because if it wasn't for her, I would've never been instilled with such discipline, structure, and genuine love. If it wasn't for her, who knows where I'd be today.
Scripture of the day- Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
