But there are some tricky things about the transfer portal no one really talks about.

Business is a competitive field. You better know the game, or you won't make it to the end of the first quarter. Whether you're a global corporation like Apple or Sony, or you're selling cars at a local dealership, business is a cutthroat game. This is a sentiment that Coach Clark wanted all athletes to understand, this game is a business from the moment you decide to play high level football.

Born and raised in Jamaica and DMV, PG County Area Gerald got the nickname "smoke" from literally being ready for the "smoke" when it came to competition going through the competitive landscape of the recruiting process.
Embracing the Journey and competition in general led to success in the recruiting process which opened doors to the scholarship opportunities from Maryland to Alabama, where Smoke decided to attend college and play football. While there he was a 4 year starter and then went on to play for the Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills, and playing in NFL Europe from 05-07 winning a Grey Cup .
Following his playing career, Smoke **“Smoke” continued to embrace the journey and challenges of life and started his post playing career as a HS coach in Miami Florida. With his drive and keen ability to constantly challenge himself to take advantage of all Opportunities and embrace the path that his Jamaican family led to success as a college coach, NFL scout, sports administrator and now the General Manager with the Head Coach that gave him his first scholarship offer in Michael Locksley at the University of Maryland

It is not every day that someone successfully changes the rules of a game that's been around for 150 plus years! We get to sit down with one of the brightest and most innovative minds in the game of football: Sam Schwartzstein, former, Director of Football Operations, Innovation, and Strategy at the XFL 2.0.
Having a unique perspective on the football ecosystem from growing up in a powerhouse High School Program Southlake Carroll, in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas. Sam was exposed to high-level football at a young age and recognized the opportunity football could provide as a vehicle for other dreams via an athletic scholarship to some of the top Universities in the country, in this case, Stanford.
While at Stanford, Sam was a part of one of the significant program turnarounds in NCAA history when the Stanford Football team loaded with future NFL Stars and Coaches produced the 1st Rose Bowl victory in 50 years while Sam was the Captain of that talent-packed squad.
Following his time at Stanford, he used his critical advantages to land an opportunity as one of the first ten employees at the ed-tech company CHEGG in Silicon Valley. He got a call to reimagine the "product' of the Football game by Oliver Luck and Vince McMahon, and his unique journey equipped him to seize the opportunity.

Marion, one of the hottest coaches in college football right now, gives a detailed lesson on the importance of pursuing your purpose with the passion for leaving an impact wherever you go!
Brennan consistently did that throughout his career as a late bloomer recruit, JUCO star to record-setting WR at Tulsa, and professional ballplayer.
Brennan speaks on the curveballs of going through the process, especially transitioning out of the game into coaching and traveling from Northern California to Eastern Pennsylvania to chase his dream of pouring into the kids and making an impact with the game that gave him so much.
After proving himself in the High School ranks as a coach, Brennan took that next step to college football and hadn't looked back since. With Stops at Howard, William, and Mary, Pitt, now the University of Texas.
While at Pitt, Marion helped produce Biletnikoff **award winner Jordan Addison.

This week we sit down with the 247Sports 2022 Recruiter of the Year and Texas A&M Assistant Head Coach Elijah Robinson as he details his blueprint to success.

In this special episode we dive into the process from a parents perspective, and not just any parent; Marlene Sanders' the mother of Pro Bowl and Philadelphia Eagles RB, Miles Sanders. She details the concentrated investments and detailing their football journey starting in the youth football leagues in Pittsburgh PA. With the help of some local coaches, she received guidance to start specialized speed and agility training with legendary trainer in Pittsburgh, DeWayne Brown of 2/10ths.
Miles then got thrusted into a starting roll as a 9th Grader at Woodland Hills High School, a prominent football program in the Pittsburgh area. After becoming the #1 RB prospect his Sr year he, attended PSU.
She also details the pre-draft & agency selection process and how the recruiting process and elite sports accelerates the maturation process. It is imperative for a prospect to have a support system going through this Journey, Marlene exemplifies what it means to raise a Blue Chip Prospect while being a "Blue Chip Family Asset" and captain of the support team around Miles.

We sit down with Morgan State's Sr. Associate Athletic Director Lydell Sargeant in this episode. He details his recruiting journey and the critical factors he leaned on to succeed in the football ecosystem and use the sport as a catalyst to a career he can bank on.
Sargeant details recruiting insights and personal accounts from being a star multi-sport athlete in Pittsburgh and Lompoc, California. Key tactical steps he made to transition from the field to the Ivory Tower. After using the pillars that made him a successful athlete, he leaned on those same transferable skills to transition from football as a catalyst.
He also touches on some key developments that he spearheaded at Morgan State, such as the first Wrestling Program at an HBCU and working with Troy Vincent and the NFL to create a data analytics program to level the playing fields for equal access for students.
