Recover Your Soul- Bonus Content- A Spiritual Path to A Happier and Healthier Life with Rev. Rachel Harrison. This is a podcast offering inspiration, strength and hope through the tools of soul recovery, spirituality, positive psychology, 12 step and New Thought Metaphysics. I started Recoveryoursoul.net after having profound positive changes in my life in my recovery from alcoholism and control addiction (codependence). I was guided to share these tools with others through this podcast as well as offering personal coaching. Personal recovery does not need an addiction to use the tools and principles to better our lives and transform- just the desire to make positive changes and grow. The way to make changes in the world around us starts with making changes within ourselves. I am here to guide you through the process of Soul Recovery. My mission is to support your transformation by empowering you to find your True Self. We do this through the process of release, self-awareness and connection to your Higher Power. I can help you to heal, clear old patterns, and find a new way of living. My coaching and counseling style is based on your individual needs, desires and goals. We are in this together. Visit www.recoveryoursoul.net to listen to the podcast or book spiritual coaching sessions. Want more in depth and bonus episodes on recovery or spirituality? In this episode, I interview my dear friend Sue Patton Thoele, who has always inspired me with her wisdom and honesty. Her books were available at the Spiritual Center we both attended, and I found them truly insightful and inspiring.

During our heartfelt conversation, Sue candidly shares how her journey of self-discovery started with her divorce, a painful moment that sparked the start of her awakening, and how she found a writers voice in middle age. Now, at the remarkable age of 83, she opens up into the chapters of her life, and how choosing acceptance over resistance and insistence has brought her peace in aging.

I am grateful for the honest and vulnerable conversation with such a wise friend and mentor. To learn more about Sue and see a full list of her books visit her website https://www.suepattonthoele.com/ or follow her on Social Media for inspiration.

I have been wanting to bring Sarah to the podcast for a while now because she is such a beautiful example of the healing and transformation of those who are on the Soul Recovery journey. Sarah was raised in an alcoholic home and has had her own journey with bulimia, alcohol use disorder and of course control issues. What I loved about Sarah is that she came to her first session wanting help with her addicted family member, but immediately understood the purpose of Soul Recovery - to heal herself, and that she has!!!!! She is learning to 'Drop the Rock' and choose inner peace - even when the life around her is still complex.

Together we can do the work that will Recover Your Soul.

I wanted to sit down with my Mom who has moved into her new house and talk about this past year of incredible change. Her house was one of over a thousand homes burned in our town at the end of 2021 in the Marshall Fire.  75 years of treasures, art and art supplies gathered from life and travel all gone in an instant.  How do you start over? How do you process the feelings? How do you let go? Lynda talks about her experience and how acceptance and gratitude were foundational in her healing and choosing to be happy in her new life.

My adult Son's Alex and Bodhi sat down with me while visiting from California for Christmas to record this episode. We continue to heal as a family and learn how to love and accept each other just as we are.  We are a family of addicts and all at different places in our Soul Recovery and sobriety. In this podcast we talk about this journey of awareness in our own lives and with each other and the acceptance that is allowing us to come together stronger than ever and heal and grow in our own lives.

I had the oppertunity to sit down with two of my sober sisters and have a very honest conversation about the complexities of recovery. Dayna has been working strining time togehter for over 4 years, and Melissa has over 14 years of sobriety.  However, the journey is not always easy and it has been difficult for them both to keep their connection with Higher Power in recovery.  I was so grateful for thier vunerablity and honesty and our deep conversation and time together.
