Our Timeless Creator
This series of messages titled "Our Timeless Creator" (OTC), shift the focus from salvation and service, to understanding God. How He who needs nothing, benefits from creating the human race.
This message of this series examines the differences between how we expect God to work in our lives and how he actually does. It examines why faithful church members can spend years believing they are saved because they did what they were told, then later on have God bring real conviction and an undeniable personal knowledge that they were not really saved.
There have been many who have the personal testimony of God’s dealing with them about their need of salvation following years of church service; some had even been the pastors. This subject is usually approached with skepticism by those who hear of it but the individual is certainly convinced in their own mind and heart and more than likely they were bothered by how people may judge them after it became public knowledge.
How is it possible that God allows people to believe they are saved without his Spirit convicting of sin, righteousness and judgment to come. It’s clear in 2-Peter 3:9 that the Lord is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. To understand this verse consideration must be given to the meaning of “the will”. In this case God’s will is a reference to desire or choice. From Adam and Eve until the upcoming Battle of Armageddon God does not enforce his will on his creation, it is a matter of each individual’s free choice.
That choice involves Hebrews 11:6; “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him”. The “faith” part is about learning enough from the “Word of God” to be able to make the choice by coming to the knowledge that it is a serious matter of life or death. The “seek him” is about the desire to know God personally, about the desire for his pleasure above our own, about his benefit without self consideration.
Unfortunately few know in their heart the difference between serving God because it is right and service that is compelled by love. This is because the focus is put on serving God because of need and what we can gain at the judgment, instead of the emphasis being on God’s greatness and his glory. When God’s attributes are focused on we grow to appreciate who made us and how wonderful it is to be alive and experience his world. When this happens humility becomes automatic as we grow to love and appreciate the opportunity our Creator has provided us.
In Luke 10:38-41 Jesus scolds Martha and commends Mary which seems wrong because Martha was working but Mary was just watching and listening. We automatically think it should have been reversed because Martha was serving intently. However Mary wasn’t being lazy she was deeply in love with Jesus and he knew it. Luke 7:47: “Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.” Mary had been forgiven a great many sins and had fallen deeply in love with Jesus; so much so that Jesus could feel it!

This message starts with why it is important to study the things that God has created, and then it picks up the study of the ear, with the middle ear being discussed.
In Romans Chapter One it says that God may be understood by the things that he created. “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:” Then in the next verse it explains what happens to those who reject the glory that God reveals through it. “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” First they take things for granted and loose all their appreciation. Then they dismiss the origin and imagine it is all from a huge accidental explosion that happened in an absolute vacuum. If that weren’t bad enough, then God removes their understanding so that no amount of logic or proof will help them understand.
In the modern church we have a similar problem. Little to no attention is paid to considering how God may be better understood from the study of his creation. Instead we go through life asking God why, and wondering how a holy God can let bad things happen to innocent children and really good people.
What God makes clear in studying his creation is that the phenomenal genius required in designing our universe leads to a greater appreciation of the Creator that’s responsible for everything he has made.
King David realized God’s genius when he wrote in Psalms 139:14 “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well”. Then later on he wrote, “Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite”, Psalm 147:5.
Our problem is why modern churches are not interested in teaching about the Creators genius. Instead they leave that the responsibility to the God denying Evolutionists to teach their vain imaginations as the explanation for everything.
No wonder believers go through life fearful and with little faith and wondering why God doesn’t answer more prayers and do more to stop all the evil.

Here the emphasis is on the lack of messages from the pulpits about proving the will of God. According to scripture pastors are to declare the whole council of God but there are many topics that are avoided. Such as in Second Corinthians 9:7 “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver”. Only the cheerfully part is emphasized.
When it comes to giving the important thing is supporting the church so we can do more for God, so the necessity is emphasized for raising more money for buildings, missionaries and outreach programs of all kinds. Grudgingly is seldom, if ever mentioned at all.
Grudgingly in the text refers to what happens when members are encouraged to give beyond their supply, like overspending for Christmas. Sadly the truth is that giving for a need only satisfies a temporary situation and there is always more need and giving that’s not from the heart becomes a duty, like Christmas presents for people because of the holiday. The worst part is that there is no joy. Giving for a need gives a feeling of self satisfaction not joy, and feeling pressured brings feelings of regret or even worse later on.
God loves it when giving is done like buying a gift for a loved one when the primary purpose is the happiness of the receiver. In this case the giver experiences the pleasure of anticipation, the excitement of the receiver at the presentation and the feelings of accomplishment as the receiver benefits. In this case, "It is more blessed to give than receive" that's a three to one ratio.

These two half lessons are re-edited into one that considers the genius in God’s design of our Auditory Canal and starts into the Middle Ear. Here the complexity continues to increase exponentially from the complexities of the Auditory Canal and then into ultra slight movements of the ear Drum required for us to perceive sounds.
In Daniel 12, the prophecy was made that knowledge would be increased in the last days before Jesus Christ’s return. Then in 2nd Timothy 3, we are told that perilous times would come and part of that would include people who would be ever learning but unable to come to the knowledge of the truth. Or put another way, they would learn of incredible things and still be able to believe in their vain imaginations.
The amount of things necessary just to communicate by speaking and hearing reach levels of intricacy still not understood by modern science. Amazingly those same “Scientists” can accept the belief in a reality of a gigantic explosion of pressure, called The Big Bang, which came from absolutely nothing and would have required either a compressor and something to compress where there is nothing to compress, or an explosion which requires an explosive and an ignition source and an oxygen in the midst of a perfect vacuum, but even these intelligent and educated people would rather have faith in this than to think that they will be judged at the end of their lives.
To believe The Big Bang requires a belief in a fantasy so fantastic and impossible that it makes the Tooth Fairy, an egg laying Easter Bunny and a man from the North Pole who owns flying Reindeer and visits every inhabited building on Earth to deliver presents or coal all in one night, all sound logical. It also helps to promote lying to children about these and other things so they can accept their chosen adult version of where the universe came from.
Even the “Church” has yielded to science choosing rather to stick with spiritual arguments which are much easier to defend. To make matters worse immorality is now openly accepted as normal in our modern churches because the truth would offend many in the congregation.
Ignoring the following will not diminish this. “And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Rev.3:14-15. “Fore told is fore warned”

This two part message continues to examine details of why God gave us a way to prove that our efforts in pleasing him are what he desires. Not just in a general sense but moment by moment in our daily lives and interactions with each other.
No doubt that if we were God we would have done things different than he has. From Adam and Eve all the way up to us praying for God to hold a green light for us because we are running late, our desires shape our conclusions of how to improve on all creation. (I doubt if any of us are thinking about how our prayers could affect other believers if God chose to answer immediately.)
Our thoughts and conclusions about right and wrong are flaws in our decision making, which disqualifies us in judging righteous judgments. We know that from Prov. 16:25: “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death’. Add to this Isaiah 55:11 where he wrote; “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways, my ways, saith the LORD”. From this we know why God doesn’t give us any power to run things.
The warnings couldn’t be clearer. But unfortunately none of this is considered in church doctrine. The assumption is; that even though many disagree with us, we are right, and to support their beliefs they offer long lists of be-causes that include scripture, logic, need, customs and “the pastor says”. It is like children arguing over what to get mom for Christmas instead of asking her, and so they all get something different thinking she will like mine the best.

These two half lessons are re-edited into one that considers the genius in God’s design of our outer ears. The odd shapes of the outer ears are much more than they appear. They are actually just one of the three parts of our ears but they add very special information for our understanding.
In Solomon’s book of proverbs hewrote,“The hearing ear, and the seeing Eye, the LORD hath made even both of them”. These sensors collect enormous amounts of physical information; break it down into minuscule bits of electrical pulses and send it to the brain to be interpreted and understood. Like a computer and a scanner but these are far more complicated and are living tissues. This miracle of God’s design is lost however due to the Church having allowed people who deny the existence of a Creator to replace God with a “Big Bang” or “Mother Nature”, both of which are just vain imaginations: see Romans chapter one. To take this a little further: The majority of those teaching creation do so in defense of their belief rather than point to the phenomenal genius and abilities of our Creator.
In reality these organs are so complicated that mankind is still trying to understand out how they work. The odd shape of the outer ear is only the first step in separating the myriad of vibrations of air molecules around us. It then creates its own set of echoes just milliseconds apart to begin to identify proximity, distance and volume and separate and focus the meaningful sounds from other noise sources.

This continues to describe the unseen connection from a sound source to the ear. The invisible air molecules that conduct the complex vibrations that allow us to speak and hear are another miracle that we take for granted because we can’t observe what is happening.
Sound waves are similar to ripples in a still pool from a small stone that travel in rings outward and then return when encountering objects or shore lines, without actually creating a current flow in the water. Accept that the very elastic and invisible air molecules allow the sound waves to travel outward in every direction at the same time and return as echoes from encountered objects, all at different times. This creates an innumerable number of waves from a single vibration moving our eardrums, but there is more. Not only are there a myriad of intentional waves created in speaking but the air is filled with many other sounds from nature and equipment also. All of these vibrations are separated by our amazing ears and sent to our brains to be interpreted.
All this had to be part of God’s design before he began to create, but just like children living in a nice home, they are focused on themselves and don’t think about these things being the result of a parent’s plans and efforts. As a part of God’s phenomenal creation where we live, we seldom if ever consider why God chose to create it or why everything is here, and even more important; what am I doing here; does he want something from me.

This moves into some of the interrelated parts of our communication that God created as he made the firmament and called it Heaven. All of which are necessary for us to speak and hear, and are essential in many other applications such as flight, heat conduction, pneumatic equipment and a life giving oxygen supply for nearly all living things on earth as well as carbon dioxide, and much more.
Ecology is a main topic of discussion around the world with many interesting opinions offering a solution. Some of which are put forth and implemented but quickly become just a tool for economic gain and control to enrich those of influence and shift blame to only targeted societies, while overlooking the primary cause, mankind’s selfish motives, which are made much worse because in these last days men are more of lovers of their own selves than ever before, just as prophesied. In the ecology argument one thing is clear for the honest critics, that mankind is the cause.
Everything that God created is multipurpose and is interdependent, and is automatically repurposed for other needs. A simple tree stabilizes ground, shades other parts of creation, adds humidity to the air, converts co2 into oxygen, is a food source in many ways, is a home for many creatures, replaces itself in its own species, and fertilizes the soil after it dies and much more, not to mention as a building material and a fuel source for light and heat. Man on the other hand makes things that have only two uses, the specific application intended and possibly a paper weight.

This continues the introduction into audio communication and why it is a suitable church subject in discussing our Creators genius. David wrote about this in Psalm chapter 111: 1-2. Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation. The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.
Here David made it clear that praise includes the genius of God’s wonderful works and that it is about seeking God, as in Hebrews 11:6, But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently Seek him.
Unfortunately today’s modern church has left this to the unbelieving scientific community which teaches the incredibly complex design of our audio communication system as just another function of “Mother Nature”. This is like giving Santa Clause the credit for the Christmas presents; accept this one is believed by adults.

This message begins a study of Psalm 139:14 which reads, “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well”. It considers why David used the word fearfully in describing what God had shown him about the human body.
Of the last days we are told that knowledge would be increased, and no doubt it has been at an exponential rate, but the more we learn the more mysteries become apparent.
Science is still learning how the design of the human ear allows us to separate simple vibrations of air molecules into meaningful neuroelectrical pulses that our minds can understand. From the oddly shaped outer ear which divide and reflect sound waves, known as the Auricle to thousands of microscopic molecular organic springs deep inside the Cochlea which converts vibrations into neuron impulses we are learning some of the genius behind Proverbs 20:12, “The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them”.
God didn’t create us so he could become impresses by our intellect, our efforts or even our results. He made us in his image for us to relate to him and him to us as family and be able to love him like children should love their parents and appreciate them. The problem is that he created within us a free will which allows us to contradict and resist him just like children can, and do with their own parents. More importantly, it also provides a way for each of us to seek him, and then learn to understand him, and most of all to become so impressed we awaken to the awe and wonder of our Great Creator.
“Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.” Psalms 33:8.

In the first part of this message a comparison is drawn between the relationships of parents and children and our relationship with God, as his children. Then it begins to expose some of God’s hidden messages to us and how we misunderstand as we look for what will benefit us instead of realizing that everything that God has made he made for himself; including us. “Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. ” Ps. 100:3
When Jesus calmed the seas by saying “Peace, be still” all the disciples missed the message because their focus was on themselves. Instead of calming down after Jesus removed the danger their fear shifted from drowning to fearing a reprisal from such a powerful being. (See Mark 4:36-41) If their focus had been on Jesus their faith in him would have increased because he had just given them another example of what a great protector they were with.
We are no different than they were. When trouble comes we become fixated on the problem and exhaust ourselves trying to solve it. As the threat increases our efforts increase and our prayers become more intense instead of remembering the awesome power of the one who has protected us in past troubles, and still is.

In this third part, the profound question of why God created mankind on this earth and then doesn't seem to care enough about us to stop the suffering is made clearer.
Injustices here have continued from the time that God allowed Cain to kill Able. Oh we don't think about it that way, we just blame Cain for the crime and then let it go, but in fact God could have spoken to Cain long before he took action against Able, just as he did after it was too late. The question then is why does God allow the innocent to suffer at the hands of evil?
In the story of Lazarus death Jesus waited until he had been dead four days before taking action. He also waited until Peter began to sink as he walked on the water before saving him. God didn't stop Abraham from smiting the rock after he said to speak to it and he even let King David commit adultery and then murder in the matter of Bathsheba and Uriah. From innocent children with terminal cancer to the most outrageous atrocities of governments we look on with grief in our hearts and wonder how a Holy God could allow such suffering.
In this study of God's desires, it becomes clear that he has a secret master plan in which he is allowing mankind and Satan some freedom to bring about his real purpose.

This continues to explain why God gave us a way to confirm the things that we believe are God’s will with what actually is his will. It also continues to look at some specific things that God desires but are seldom if ever connected directly to serving God.
Proverbs 16:25 says, “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” This short verse shows us how we can believe sincerely that we are doing exactly what God wants, but still be wrong. One of the ways that seems right is our conscience, and that leads us to believe that if we do enough good things then they overrule the bad things. It also shows us that our ways are far from God’s ways. No doubt if we were God, we would never allow all the evil things to continue as they are on earth.
God’s purpose for this present creation is for each person to make individual choices, just as Adam and Eve did. God put a bad tree in the garden and simply said don’t eat that. That is what God is doing in each life. Our conscience lets us know what we shouldn’t do, but just following our conscience can’t get rid of the bad choices we have already made. God’s salvation can take care of those sins but not the problem of doing things the way that seems so right for us but not to God. That’s why God gave us a way to find the truth, so we can make good choices as we go.

This message is a study of the trait that God finds most offensive in His creation and goes into how God deals with it. It also gives us the answer to all the conflicts in our lives and how to deal with them.
There are many kinds of conflicts. Some last just a few moments and others may last for many years. The most painful conflicts are with family members or other believers. The worst part is that there doesn’t seem to be any clear way to resolve them or a way around them. Many are caused by other people, but create havoc in our lives by how they affect us. Some are just a set of circumstances while others are differences in opinions. Then there are the ones that are impossible to resolve because they are a result of backbiting and gossip that that can’t be contained, like feathers in the wind. However, the most destructive by far is the conflict we engage in with our Creator, without even realizing it.
This study is a result of seeking to understand how normal, hard working people with families can become so angry over an inconsiderate driver that they put everything they have at risk in defense of their ego.

Here the subject transitions from the way God has given us to prove that what we are doing is pleasing to God, into things that he tells us plainly that he receives with pleasure. It also exposes hidden feelings of self importance that we feel when we do things that we know he wants us to.
When Martha invited Jesus into her house, in Luke chapter ten a strange thing happened that caused Jesus to scold Martha for asking for help with her service for Him and the others there. The first impression is that Martha was the only one working to provide food and comfort for all the guests. So why would Jesus compliment Mary while she sat and was doing nothing? Wasn’t there a need? Didn’t someone need to do the work if they were going to have something to eat?
This story is an example of what Paul was telling the Romans when he said, “Ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”. For many years my greatest frustrations as a believer was to know what God could do and watch him do nothing instead. What seems apparent to us needs to be confirmed by the Spirit of God or we will become as frustrated and confused as Martha.

This message continues with the importance of proving God’s will rather than just assuming that if it sounds right to us then it must be. It also gets into how the fruit of the Spirit will change our responses in everyday difficulties and temptations.
God has made it very clear that there are priorities for us if we are going to accomplish what he desires. First is Faith which is essential for salvation; “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness”… (Rom.10:10). And Faith is also a necessity to accomplish God’s purpose: “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” (Rev.4:11); and also; “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Heb.11:6). The question then is how to increase our faith.
Faith comes by exposure to the Word of God first; “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Rom.10:17). Next is experience. In Matthew chapter 16 Jesus said to His disciples; “O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?”. As we experience God’s deliverance in our lives it increases faith. Next it is a gift from God as one of the fruits of the Spirit; “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance” (Gal.5:22).
The problem for us all is that fear and faith work like a teeter-totter. When we are overwhelmed by eminent peril our faith can be reduced to zero where Jesus was asleep in a ship; “And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?” (Mk.4:37-41). Is there a way to protect ourselves from fear, even this type of life threatening fear? Yes! (Continued in the text in the next message)

This message continues with the importance of proving God’s will rather than just assuming that if it sounds right to us it must be right. It also starts into making application to the changes that come with viewing our lives with a purpose that is not self serving.
The question of “Why do I exist?” is one that most people ask themselves at some point in their lives. It is one that can only be answered by personal experience following death, but that comes with the profound risk of finding out only after it is too late to benefit from the knowledge.
The problem is the unknown quantity. From the beginning of mankind to the present we don’t know in advance what the results of our actions will be. Only hindsight reveals success or failure. Because of this we all live by faith. We choose to trust our decisions, or to trust others that we believe have found the answers.
A few logical conclusions to this question range from; “there is no purpose because everything from the Hollywood Stars to the Celestial Stars have an expiration date, so get all you can while you can”, to “there must be a higher purpose for this amazing universe than believing that it is all an accident”.
The only way to know for sure is personal experience. For example, if someone says this is the right way and they have been this way before they have personal experience but you can’t know unless you go and find out for yourself.
That is exactly what God has set up on this earth. The only way to know for sure is through personal experience. We say show me God, and God replies, trust me first then I’ll show you. This is because his way exposes our motive for what we do. Proof requires God to yield to our will instead of us yielding to his. So God shows us proof of our correct choices in ways that are non transferable.
The problem for us is that it’s easier to trust ourselves, or someone else who we agree with, than to trust an unseen God that doesn’t give us proof until after we decide to trust him.

This message begins with a testimony of how our view of "the eyes of the LORD" change as we are changed from glory to glory; "by the Spirit of the Lord", as described in 2 Cor. 3:18. It then continues with the proof that we all should have in our service for God, because "our ways are not His ways".
The story of Cain and Abel in Genesis chapter four describes Cain working the ground to please God, but found out the hard way that his hopes of God being impressed by the quality of his fruits was different than he thought. How could Cain have been so wrong? He had done his best. The problem was that his offering, although impressive, was missing something. The old saying, "You can't get blood from a turnip" says it all.
There are many different ways that we can serve God, and it is obvious that there is a greater need for workmen at the oars than there is for more passengers in the boat. The question then is which oar does God want each of us to man. God didn't tell us to sit anywhere we want, he has plans. The problem is we choose based on what we want or feel and our ways don’t match God’s.
If left up to church leaders they will direct volunteers to the greatest need or where they need help. The problem here is that they have little understanding as to the talents that God given each person for the work he has planned for them. Martha was adamant that she knew what Mary should be doing and we would have agreed with her.
I have seen good college students graduate and become influenced by church leaders who had a burden for a specific country, decide to spend four years on deputation move the family there and be back home in two years ashamed, let alone the waste of time and support money. The saying is; “Mama called and Papa sent”.
We seldom seek direction from God to determine whether we should grab an oar, or a bucket to bail water. The choice is more likely to be made on what we like or to fill a need or where we will be more beneficial or appreciated. Then we pray for God’s blessing on our choices and wonder why our prayers go unanswered.
What had Abel found out that Cain didn't? “By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.” God wasn't only upset with Cain’s offering; he was upset with his pride. He told him to "do well". Cain knew what God wanted but he expected to impress God by his excellent produce that he had grown.
Cain could have asked Abel to trade produce for lambs and been accepted, but his pride got in the way. This could be considered the first case of “Road Rage” because God disrespected Cain’s offering. It’s always humbling to admit to ourselves that we could be wrong but it is better than finding out the hard way, like Cain did.
Psalms 25:20 “O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.” We are not putting our trust in God if we don’t prove whether we are doing his will or our own.

This message begins by discussing the differences between Mothers and Fathers and studies the similarities that scripture tells us about God. Following this it continues with a topic that is missing in churches, namely how to have proof that our service won’t be like that of Cain’s when he and Able brought offerings to God. The problem wasn’t the quality it was about bringing what God wanted. This led to a disaster of pride because mankind has a real problem with rejection. Cain felt offended and disrespected but being unable to blame himself he took his anger out on the one he believed had made him look bad.
This event parallels our current society in the growing problem of road rage. People who have never met can feel disrespected and offended and can throw their lives away in just minutes because they don’t stop to consider the consequences of their actions in perspective to a minor traffic incident.
The importance of getting proof of our service before our works are judged cannot be overstated. Jesus gave several illustrations that made it clear that proceeding to accomplish something without making sure our efforts won’t be wasted are imperative for a successful outcome. From building without counting the cost to where to set a foundation he warned us to be sure our spiritual houses were being built according to God’s plans and with the appropriate materials.
David wrote in Psalm 118:8; “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” This admonition is readily acknowledged by believers and yet I have never heard a message on it without the foundation assumption being that we are right in our beliefs, it’s the other people who need to make changes. Just consider how many different Churches, Doctrines, Pastors, Teachers and Bible versions there today and the dilemma becomes apparent. Who can you trust for guidance so you won’t be ashamed when your service is judged? Remember that we are talking about eternal consequences. There is only one reliable source and that is God himself.
The problem is that no one seems to know how to find that Biblical proof that Paul wrote about in Romans 12.. Just ask anyone how to prove God’s will and you will find that it’s a great mystery. The reason may be that church leaders are afraid that it would challenge their authority so they avoid the subject, but whatever the reason it is obvious that if everyone were doing what God wanted, it would eliminate disagreements and confusion: 1 Cor. 14:33 “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace...”. The “Church” would function as a single body without conflict as explained in 1 Cor. 12.
As a result of this missing information every ministry has developed its own individual beliefs. The result is like that in Judges 21:25b, “Every man did that which was right in his own eyes”.
With this in mind it is easy to understand how the old saying of, “Divide and Conquer” has been used by Satan in these last days against the “Church” to promote tradition and the doctrines of men.

This Sunday night message is an explanation of what Jesus was saying when He told his disciples in Matthew chapter eight, “become as little children”. What did that mean? Most take it for granted that Jesus was referring to the second birth but in the context Jesus continues with humbling yourselves. This connects back into the disciple’s question of who would be the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.
People have a natural desire to feel good about themselves to feel a sense of accomplishment or a sense of value from all they have done. They want to believe they have earned a higher position on the social ladder because of their talents and accomplishments. This is a matter of pride and this is why Jesus responded with, “Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven”, but there is more to becoming like a little child than trying to humble yourself. First there is the problem of a clear path to humility, and second is how to attain humility without being proud of your accomplishment.
The statement of becoming like a little child is about a quality that little children possess naturally; so it is not about what they have it’s about what they don't gain until reaching the age of accountability.

This continueswith the study of how to prove that the work we do for God is actually what he wants us to be doing instead of what we think he wants.
We make choices when purchasing gifts based on what we think the receiver will like but sometimes it becomes a disappointment to both the giver and receiver. That is why God has made a provision for us to find out from him if we are truly doing what he wants and the way he wants it done.
When Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit they gained the knowledge of good and evil and through that we believe that if we do good, everything will be ok when we meet God, but we have learned from the Bible that all have sinned and no matter how hard we try we can’t get rid of our sin without asking Jesus to remove it. The belief that we can live good enough is what King Solomon was talking about when he wrote Proverbs 14:12,“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
It is natural to believe in ourselves, to think that we are right about what makes sense to us, especially when we are obviously doing good things. The problem is not with what we are doing, like buying a gift, but rather is it the right gift and are we buying it for the right reason.
We can do many things in God’s name that we will feel good about, but are they God’s choice or ours? According to Romans 12:1-2, they may not be, so God has given us a way to be sure and prevent a major disappointment after we meet Him.

This continueswith the well known verse in Romans that tells us that we may prove that what we are doing for God is actually what he wants us to be doing. God has told us that our ways are not his ways and neither are our thoughts his thoughts. That is why he told us there is a way to make sure that what we are doing here actually pleases him, instead of finding out after it is too late.
It has been said “that time spent in preparation is seldom wasted”. This has been proven true by many who prepared poorly or not at all.
The story of ten virgins in Matthew 25 is a warning of how important it is to make proper preparation. Their error was not that they hadn’t prepared but rather they hadn’t considered beyond their own opinion of how long they would have to wait. They trusted in what they believed to be an adequate supply. This is exactly why we are given an opportunity to obtain proof directly from God instead of trusting ourselves or other people. Eternity is much too important to trust ourselves to choose what, or who to believe.
In asking several pastors and teachers how can we actually prove the will of God I have yet to find anyone who knew how to or had even been curious enough to try to find out. The answers are in this series just as God gave them.

This continues with Martha vs Mary and then begins to look at why we should be proving whether the things we are doing in serving God are actually what God desires us to do.
No doubt that Martha believed with her whole heart that she was doing God’s perfect will even to the point that she pressed Jesus to make Mary start helping her. I submit there are many pastors that believe just as passionately as Martha did that they are right without looking for any confirmation from God.
We all believe that everything we do in the name of God is for him and in his perfect will. If we had any doubts we would take God more seriously and act on Romans 12:2 where we are told: “...that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”.
We think that if we are doing what our pastors tell us to we must be doing God’s perfect will, but Proverbs12:2 tells us: “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death”. That is our conscience showing us right from wrong. It also leads us to believe that if we follow it, everything will come out all right, but we also know that in Romans 3:23, “All have sinned”, and that even if we had followed our conscience we would still die as sinners.
In Isaiah 55:8 we are told, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD”. That’s why we should be proving that what we are doing is actually what the LORD wants.
I find it curious that in over 65 years of Bible preaching I have never heard a message on how to prove any of the three wills of God that he has given the opportunity to have proof of.
It makes me wonder if it’s due to ignorance of how to prove it, or the confusion it might produce in members who may get a different answer from God. Either way "fore told is fore warned".

This message starts a series that studies why Jesus scolded Martha while she was just asking for help in serving others, but praised Mary while she sat and did nothing to help. This doesn't make sense to our way of thinking but instead of realizing that Jesus must have had a good reason, and ask God for understanding we just slide past it with barely a thought.
One of the truly great admonitions in the Bible is James 1:22, "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves". We treat this much like someone smoking who sees a sign saying NO SMOKING but continues to do so anyway. The sign reminds them of something they know they should act on, but they are living in a quandary, knowing they should stop but lacking the motivation, so they continue on deceiving themselves.
People do what they do for one of three reasons, “They see a need, They are shown a need or, They are threatened.” If a doctor says stop smoking or you will have incurable cancer within a year, and then die in just months after that, some will take the doctor seriously while others will say, that's just an opinion.
The difference for believers is that God doesn't give us an opinion, He shows us truth. The Scriptures are for us to act on but we treat them as suggestions. We don't take God seriously because we feel no eminent threat.
Jesus told us of the Rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16 to make it clear that the things we do now make a permanent difference, there are no do-overs. He has given us all a choice, we can realize there is a need to take action or choose to continue as we are and believe anything we want. The wise man will build his spiritual house on by acting on the word.

This starts with how others can use our desires and affections to help them gain their objectives, then on into how churches can do the same things, many times without realizing it.
Jesus said in John 14:15 “If ye love me keep my commandments”. he is saying that what is in our heart is most important. Or put another way, why we do what we do is what he is interested in. He put it on the basis of love because love creates a desire to please. A birthday gift received at a party from a guest is different than a gift from a loving parent. Other gifts may be more impressive or more expensive but one given because of love is given with a pure motive. That’s why gifts for no special occasion are the ones remembered the longest.

This starts with several illustrations of how people use each other, some intentional, some unintentional and also how we use our family without realizing it. Then it moves on to the pertinent question, have you ever made God feel used. There are many places in scripture that tell us about how God feels when we try to use Him, but they are seldom noticed.
We have the same idea about God that children have about their parents. Parents are providers, protectors, rule makers, law enforcers and educators that love us, but instead of returning that love with a sense of appreciation we circumvent their efforts and get away with what we want in secret. Making matters worse, our nature is one of rebellion that manifests itself when we don’t get what we want. We become sullen or peevish to show our displeasure with those in charge.
God deals differently with us than our parents and especially those who become born again into His family through the miracle of salvation. His purpose in giving us freedom is to expose our will. Will we choose what He wants or what we want? This was the choice God gave Adam and Eve and the one gives each one of us daily.

This message considers local evangelical church ministries and how they differ one from another. They all have a basic theme of living to a higher standard, following biblical guidelines, proclaiming the eternal difference it will make if we follow its leadership and also encourage members to serve God, but something has changed. In the recent past when someone died, people would comment that “he has gone to meet his maker”, but not any longer. We have ceased to perceive God as our Creator and think in terms of being our supernatural benefactor. The one to get help from when we have needs or desires that are beyond our abilities.
The first thing we read in the Bible is, “God created the heaven and the earth” and then it goes on to detail each day of creation. Further on it says, “The earth is the LORD'S, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein” Ps. 24:1. When we perceive God as our Creator it changes everything. We become aware that we are created beings that are allowed to enjoy what God has created for himself; but only during our lifetime. Our existence is an incredible gift, which we take for granted like a child born into a rich family.
A great change takes place when we realize who we are and why we are here. We become more aware of where we are and start seeing the world as the magnificent place that God made to house mankind. In the same way that a rich child would view the parents who have provided all the luxuries they had access too. This leads to a new appreciation for their provider and slowly they see their surroundings not as their property but a result of the parent’s hard work. After this life begins to have a higher purpose than just the three basic instincts of; Self Gratification, Self Propagation and Self Preservation and we begin to appreciate the Creators genius and his purpose for it all. It also changes our service from duty into desire and it becomes a joy to follow the will of the one who has given each of us a chance of living eternally with him.

This message continues to expose the reason that people believe the theory of evolution. It also considers how that in the last days the seventh and last church age, as mentioned in Revelation chapter three, truly born again believers can actually make God feel sick in their service for Him.
God gave us freedom and conflicting conditions to expose our will. Even though we know intellectually how brief our lives are, we have a sense of importance and believe we are smart enough to decide what to believe. Then we pursue our course of action and our pride forces us to continue to think we're right. If we face opposition we defend our choice. If the choice proves to be a mistake we make excuses, and deflect the responsibility to unknown circumstances or to other people.
The reason that Adam and Eve made the decision they did was a lack of information. Had they understood all the results, no doubt they would have denied their desires and gone on to live by faith in God’s instructions. We are all just as vulnerable. We have only a vague idea of the results of our choices and so we continue to follow our desires until it is too late.
The greater problem is that in these last days knowledge has increased exponentially and there is less experience to help us decide wisely. Making matters worse a large portion of the knowledge that we gain is intentionally false, just like Satan’s instructions to Eve. This brings us back to God's plan, to live by faith in Him and His instructions, or trust ourselves to decide, even if it means trusting other people to instruct us in what they believe.

This considers the churches’ silence concerning evolution, which has allowed children to be turned away from the truth and taught vain imaginations by non believers. It also shows how God turns people over to a reprobate mind when they reject his truth and draws a connection between the genius of the Creator and the creation we have around us.
God works with us by giving us enough truth to live by faith and then if we follow his rules, he enlightens our understanding so that the truth becomes obvious to us. The proof of this statement is known by those who have been born again and experienced it. Nothing can be passed on from one person to another by explaining it. It is impossible to communicate the feeling of a burn or the taste of food they must be experienced. This is how God works privately with each person, and that’s how we give account of ourselves at the judgment, as individuals who have exercised their free will.
A preacher once said, “The worst thing God can do to a person is leave them alone”. This always ends in disaster just as it did for Adam and Eve. When we choose to believe something it shapes and controls us even to the point of self destruction.
Our very nature is one of pride, making us vulnerable to Satan’s influences. In the book of Job, chapter forty one, when speaking of Satan it reads, “he is a king over all the children of pride”. Pride allows Satan a monarch’s power over us and we become unreachable by truth or logic, or even love. The only hope for those who have chosen unwisely is for the Spirit of God to intervene by showing them some amount of truth that conflicts with what they have believed before.

This message considers how evolution became the mainstream in education, and why people believe in it so willingly.
Over 500 years before Jesus Christ was born, Daniel wrote this about the last days, “many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased”. In less than 200 years, man has progressed from horseback to self driving cars, from ships that needed wind to push them to ships that navigate using satellites and are powered with 100,000 hp engines, from envying birds to around 100,000 flights daily. As far as the increase in knowledge, just turn on your smartphone and the amount of knowledge you can find and still fit in your pocket is staggering.
Daniel’s eleven words in the Bible stand as just a small sample of proof of the supernatural accuracy of scripture, and yet people still choose to believe that everything that exists came from a massive explosion with no explanation of where that came from or give us any logical reason for our existence.

This messageconsiders the scripture that says “wherefore comfort one another with these words”. It encourages us to comfort others who have lost of loved ones that have been born again.
There is a great difference between loosing someone who experienced the new birth and the shallow hopes we have for those who had not accepted the only cure for the reason we die. “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” Romans 5:12
There is little difference in appearance between people who have been born again and those who think they have. Or even those who have chosen to not believe. Jesus spoke of this in Matthew chapter thirteen when He spoke of the wheat and the tares. The difference is internal. It is about a supernatural change that cannot be brought about by the will of man. It is a transformation that is experienced when God adds a new nature to an individual. We can’t decide to dislike things we enjoyed and start enjoying things we disliked. We may put on an act that makes it appear that we have changed by simple obedience to a system or the teachings of influential individuals, but anyone who has experienced the actual reversal of desires that come when God changes them, knows the difference. It is as though they have become a different person inside. That is exactly what Jesus was talking about when He said “Ye must be born again”. These people have a new personality that is only observed in their behavior. They don’t force themselves into a new life of obedience, like putting on an act. They experience real joy when they follow God’s will.

This message opens with a discussion about suffering and dying loved ones, and thenconsiders the unique features that God designed into elephants and closes with why God does things like He does. It ends with the unusual final prayer which is normally edited out but in this case has several helpful thoughts in dealing with terminally ill loved ones.
This is the next to the last message that studies the genius and individual characteristics in His creation that God gave us, so that our faith would be supported by infallible proofs but that are dismissed by evolutionists, and if taught at all, are shown to be the work of random chance or the mythical Mother Nature. Amazingly they ridicule faith as being a crutch for the needy without realizing the blind faith required to believe that life emerged from a massive flaming sterile ball of fire they named the Big Bang, which happened by accident in a perfect vacuum without oxygen, fuel and ignition.

God has set up this present creation for us to make our own choices. From Eve until now each of us choose who we will become; not only now but for eternity. Even though many blame circumstances for their failures, the reality is that a great number stand as proof of those who have overcome conditions much worse than those who have tried and failed; and even managed to help others along their way.
These are people who have met adversity with perseverance and ultimately succeeded. These people are looked up to and admired. An example is a war hero who saved lives at great risk of their own, and maybe even suffered permanently from their efforts. Many find pleasure in honoring them in various ways, even to the extent of providing free homes.
In Psalm 100 verse 2 it reads, “Serve the LORD with gladness”. Unfortunately the vast majority of believers serve because of the need, duty, or a sense of guilt. None of these produce gladness; oh we may feel a sense of greater worth if we meet a need but that is a self serving motive.
How can we serve with gladness? In the same way those who honor heroes serve? It is a matter of honor for us to have an opportunity to do something for someone one who has done great things.
Jesus Christ is a true hero in every way. Hebrews 12:1-4 says; “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise,... but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9;
This repentance is available to all. Everyone who seeks God to repent of their sinful condition with a contrite heart will gain God’s favor and the salvation that Jesus purchased with his sinless life and obedient death on the cross. “And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” Philippians 2:8
Jesus had a choice and so do each one of us as individuals. In our short lives this is the most important choice everyone makes because the results are eternal.

This message looks at how the transition into the last days has taken place without being obvious. It opens with thoughts of being mad at God for not getting what we want, and then moves into how life has changed in 100 years, and closes with where the energy comes from in a nuclear reaction.
From Genesis Chapter four until the invention of the automobile life on earth had remained basically unchanged. The vast majority of people traveled only the distance that a horse could take them and back in a day, this became there world, but in just one hundred years man went from a fast horse all the way to the moon.
Just as the proverbial frog in slowly warming water, we see the change as a benefit. The cold frog enjoyed the benefits of warm water until he lost the ability to react to the impending danger.
The last days are marked by perilous times and evil men. One preacher said, every bad thing on earth is a good thing twisted. This is to say that men will find a way to use, or corrupt everything possible to their own advantage. The Tribulation will be a time of controlling mankind by the most evil beings in existence, namely the Anti Christ and his followers. No doubt he will use the most advanced technology in his efforts to enforce his will.
As bad as all this will be, the believers are told in Luke 12:28, “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh”. For us the word to focus on is “begin”. It has begun, now the question is are you fearful or believing?

This message looks at what God told us about his lack of tolerance in his dealing with disobedience and begins using force when he rules on earth during his thousand year reign.
From the time Godcreated Adam and Eve he stepped back and allowed his creation to engage in all manner of evil. He could have stopped Cain from killing his brother Able but instead all God did was mark him as an outcast and told him to do right and he would be accepted. When King David committed adultery with Uriah’s wife and then got him killed to cover his unforgivable sin, which carried the death sentence, God allowed David to live anyway. Even the best Christians disobey as we fail to love God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our strength and with all our minds, as Jesus commanded us, (see Luke 10:27). Some may believe they have accomplished this but they have underestimated God’s holiness and have overestimated their own.
During the thousand years that our Holy God rules earth he only gives one warning and then eliminates those who disobey. This may sound harsh but God will establish a glorious time of plenty for all the people and animals and protect good people from evil doers.

These messages on the uniqueness of God’s creation are presented for two reasons. First to draw attention to God’s amazing genius on display all around us, and second is to expose people to the massive amounts of evidence available that prove the impossibility of the accidental existence of life on earth. “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”Romans 1:20
In this message four of God’s creations are considered that display the complexity that was incorporated as God spoke, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind”. He didn’t import them from some other place; it was a new creation for this current world that he was re-creating, a fresh creation that would house beings made in his own image. The absolute genius involved in creating by the spoken word is beyond mortal man’s ability to understand and that’s the primary reason to reject it. When people don’t believe they close their mind to evidence that they haven’t personally experienced.
King David wrote, “O taste and see that the LORD is good”. This is the perfect example of “trust first then you will see”. Just try to get a child to try to taste something that they don’t like the look of, and they will refuse adamantly. Why do children automatically reject an offer like that? Had the parent or guardian tried to trick them previously by lying to them? Maybe they just didn’t like the look of it. Maybe they actually had tried something similar and didn’t like it, but the only way to know is taste and see. It is just like that with spiritual things, they can’t be communicated with words, and they are only proven by personal experience.

This message discusses ten photos taken by the Hubble telescope and comments that were made by astronomers about what they observed. It also includes what God tells us about the Heavens that He created.
King David wrote In Psalm 19:1-3, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard”. According to this the Heavens tell us much about the being who created them. Its size is the answer to how big is God. The humbling feelings of awe and wonder we experience when we pause to consider the Heavens are how we will feel in God’s presence. The beauty and variety are about God’s personality. The reason He made them so we could observe them was to stir our curiosity as individuals and to seek after God. “He that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)

There are thousands of books for sale on how to get what we want from God but few ask the question, why God doesn’t answer more of our prayers. Could God answer more often? If He can than why doesn’t He? The short answer is that He doesn’t want to.
As small children we were totally dependent on our parents or guardians for everything. Oh, we never thought about the basic needs like food and shelter or even where the money came from to provide the luxuries in life such as entertainment or comfort. Our primary focus in life was trying to get what we wanted, when we wanted it. Our first effort as a baby was to cry and the volume, as we quickly learned was to communicate the seriousness of the need. As we grew, we developed much more effective and subtle ways to get our way. It has been said that children are the best sales people on earth, they never take no for an answer and continually find ways to adjust their sales presentation for better results.
Prayer is the way we present our requests to God, and much like children we look for ways to influence God to our way of thinking, but is that what God is looking for, just a more effective presentation, or are we missing something more important here? This message addresses that very thing.

In this message a few of the special characteristics of design are considered that make both the Dragonfly and The Hippopotamus distinctive. Differences that set them apart from everything else that God created and that gives them their individuality.
Just as an artist develops their individual style so that their works become recognizable even to the untrained eye, God also created similarities into everything that He made, and the incredible variety of living things displays God’s creative ability of design.
The word design means to plan in advance of production; every detail needed to develop the intended outcome. However evolutionists use the word to gloss over the incredible complexity of order on display throughout the universe. Comments such as “Mother Nature” and “Life will find a way” may sound like a sensible explanation for the abundance of life on this unique planet, but in fact they have no connection to scientific facts. Mother Nature is in reality, just a figment of somebody's imagination and Life, as spoken of by evolutionists, becomes an inventor or even thought of as a creator.
The variety of special features that God incorporated into His work not only proves real genius but a strong desire for variety. It also reveals a Creator who is unlimited in power and abilities and one who is definitely not boring or mundane.
A doctor told me that he had been raised by his mother who practiced Voodoo and Catholicism, which left him believing in nothing. During his study of microbiology, which is a study of microorganisms; he began to understand the complexities and he realized that evolution was impossible and there must be a creator. At that moment he said he knew there must a God and he set out to find him, which he did in short order.

This message considers some of the unique designs that God incorporated into whales and the Pacific Golden Plover. Abilities that are not only are essential for the creatures to function but without which they could not have survived their first attempt at evolution.
In the 1830s Darwin suggested the possibility of an evolutionary change that he proposed had explained the enormous variety of species on earth. Then in 1859 he published The Origin of The Species which is now accepted as evidence of evolution, and taught as a scientific truth.
In Romans 1:21 we are told, “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” This was in print, just as it appears here over 200 years prior to Darwin’s theory, and the truth of the word, “imaginations” becomes abundantly clear as we consider how men have tried to erase our personal accountability from our minds.
Where did Mother Nature come from and how did she become so powerful and spoken of as though she exists? Why is there a Santa Clause and why do we persist in lying to children about him? No one believes that there is a real Easter Bunny that lays eggs for children, but it is still promoted it in the minds of children. Even the date of our birth has been attacked by changing BC and AD into BCE and CE, meaning Before the Common Era and the Common Era. No doubt these are part of the imaginations that Paul wrote about as further evidence for believers to identify “science falsely so called”.
The bigger problem is not how species developed but when did life start. Life does not start; it is a continuation from one living source to the next. Life is unlike to fire which can be started several ways, like lighting fire to start another or having an ignition source or by spontaneous combustion, but it can only continue until one of the essential elements is removed or used up. Life has no spontaneous beginning; it is eternal, like matter and energy which can only be exchanged from one state to another. Only living things can share their life through a replacement cycle. It will continue to exist until it is extinguished. For life matter and energy to exist; they had to have existed throughout eternity and continue until now. This is not a matter of belief, but of a scientific fact. Nothing can come from nothing no matter how many people want to believe it could, even if they give it massive amounts of time. This is to help us all believe a lie because that is easier to live with.

The phrase, “the more things change, the more they stay the same the same” also applies in scripture. When God recreated the earth for Adam and Eve, he placed two trees in the midst of it; providing them with an opportunity to choose between what they desired and what God desired for them. There was a bad tree containing death in the fruit, and there was a tree with eternal life in the fruit. Oh, they were already living but their life wasn’t eternal. They were in jeopardy of losing their lives until they chose to eat from the tree they chose first.
In the millennial reign we are told of a river of life and the tree of life again. Apparently it is the same tree that was in the garden, notice "the tree of life" not “a” tree of life. (See Revelation 22:1-2.)

This message considers two more of God’s very uniquely designed creatures, the Gecko Lizard and the desert dwelling Chuckwalla Lizard. Evolutionists occasionally mention the Missing Link, referring to the systematic progression between animals and man, but there are several missing links. In these messages the focus is on the individual differences that have no evidence of progressive development.
When Thomas Edison invented the electric light he could show how that through trial and error he finally eliminated around 1000 ways it didn’t work. Each effort was a link toward what did work and he could have shown a pile of failures as evidence, that he was the inventor.
Each of these messages offer proof of a Creator, and demonstrates His absolute genius. There are no other creatures who share their one of a kind design features, there are no links, there is no proof of transitional or failed attempts. There may be some misleading birth defects that some may try to use as missing links but that is only more proof of the biblical account of the curse on all nature.
One of the things that all the missing links do prove is that when God created he didn’t use trial and error, he knew exactly what he intended to make and did it right the first time, every time.

This message continues to study some of the things that the Bible tells us about how Jesus will set up his Millennial Reign and the ways He will lift the curse on the Earth, brought on by the fall of Adam and Eve.
A major problem appears to be that the water we have here now, has something missing. Our current water molecule consists of two hydrogen atoms bound to one oxygen atom but when Jesus returns he adds a real physical life molecule to the water. What is life? Life is like gravity which is described by how it functions. The characteristics or mathematical equations in creating life or gravity are supernatural. We can use centrifugal force to mimic gravity and we can save lives by restoring function if we act in time; but we can’t create either one as they exist.
We can participate in reproducing life by starting with cells that contain life, but to actually create life with its seven characteristics from inorganic matter is the work of God.
Interestingly, when God created Adam from inorganic matter he didn't create life in him, as he did with the plants and animals; he shared His own supernatural life when he breathed into Adam his own breath containing supernatural life.
Life is a continuing process requiring a living source; such as the life in seeds. Nothing in the moisture or soil can provide the life transferred into it by the parent plant, but there will be life in the water in the future.

These two messages consider the unique individual design that God created in the Beaver and the Black and Yellow Garden Spider. Just as we surround ourselves with the things we enjoy, God does the same thing, even to the point that he told us that when he saw everything that he had made he said it was very good, including this very large Spider that could cause a sense of fear in us if we were to be surprised by one.
How could God say spiders and many other creepy things were good to look at? Before Adam and Eve sinned and God placed a curse on the earth, there was nothing to fear because nothing God had made could cause harm to others. The experience of his creation was probably one of curiosity as they first met each other, perhaps when God brought them to Adam to see what name he would give them. No doubt they all could appreciate their Creator’s ability to make everything beautiful and unique.
For believers we have a blessed hope, not only of Jesus Christ’s return but of the new earth foretold in Revelation 21 & 22 where there is no more curse and nothing that can cause harm.
The fear we feel is a result of danger from things that may possibly harm us. It is learned first as small children as we observe parents when they react to situations and things. It triggers an adrenaline rush that forms a permanent memory about those circumstances which guards us in the future. Many times children have an unfounded fear that was a result of some unrealistic fear that a parent may have, but they have no fear of poison in the home because there was never an abrupt reaction by parents to the cleaning substances under the sink or electrical outlets that can be lethal.

These two messages look into a seldom if ever considered subject, the significance of water in the scriptures.
Most religions make some sort of baptism an important part of their doctrinal beliefs but they stop right there. God however considers water in various forms a major factor all the way through the bible. Between the Great Deeps that He separated in Genesis one, to the water of life in Revelation 22, there are over 600 direct references to water. If we consider only the great flood, drowning of Pharaoh, walking on the water, the water from Jesus’ side, the fountains of living water and how the Spirit is like water as, we can see quickly that water is far more important to God than just for baptizing.
This entire series is focused on an Eternal Creator, the source of everything known to exist, but many challenge this statement immediately with the accepted scientific theory of evolution which is that it all started with a big bang. This is easy to believe because people want to believe that there will be no individual accountability in their future. They refuse to believe in an eternal being because everything points to a beginning and an end of things. This fails to consider that for a substance to form where there is a total void of matter and energy is absolutely scientifically impossible. The simple existence of matter and energy is conclusive proof of the eternal existence of both. The conclusion is then; because matter and energy cannot be destroyed, only converted they both exist in an eternal state. Just because it appears that everything seems to have a beginning and an end doesn’t make it true. Where we exist is just a part of eternity that is set up as a temporary illusion.

This message looks at how God designed the simple chicken egg for continuing the species and for a food supply that is harmless to the chicken. Eggs were created by God as He spoke the words, “Be fruitful and multiply and let the fowl multiply in the earth”. That is all He needed to do. Psalms 147:5 “Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.”
It’s easy to be impressed by the complexity and size of the Space Station or Nanotechnology that functions on a microscopic level, but the simple chicken egg is still much more amazing. We just don’t notice it because the genius on display on this earth has become ordinary and we have lost that feeling of amazement that a child feels when they have a new experience.
What size factory would it take make eggs? Then how could it be designed so that blood vessels and a heart all started growing in the right places from a single fertilized cell? Even if we could make such a thing, how is it possible to build a clock into it so that on day five the heart would come to life automatically to supply circulation for making bones, eyes, feathers and another complete reproductive system? And yet God put all of it inside a chicken egg.
It’s easy for experts to explain how they were able to accomplish amazing things because there was a progression to follow, but to speak matter into existence requires the ability to convert energy into substance and that’s far beyond man’s understanding.
King David became aware of some of God’s awesome powers and said in Psalm 33, “By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast”. This reality is missing from the modern pulpits because the focus has narrowed to our salvation, service, sin and rewards.

This looks into the uniqueness’s of two more of God’s creation. Part3 is about Woodpeckers and how God made them unique. This is followed by Part4 that considers the unusual abilities of the Australian Malleefowl and how God designed into them on the fifth day of creation.
Many may say that the scientific study of Ornithology has no place in the pulpit, but it does. To preach the whole council of God requires information that allow us to understand our Creator better. That is not to say we need to study creation to marvel at the wonders of it, nor for proof of creation but just as the artwork is a reflection of the artist, God’s creation displays His individuality.
Consider what Paul wrote in the first chapter of Romans; “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, the just shall live by faith. For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made. The personality of God is revealed in what and how God made what He did. PT-13: This opens with some thoughts that refocus attention from the cares of the world back onto eternal things that are more important than duty. Then it moves on into some miraculous events that mark the beginning of the thousand year reign of Jesus Christ. One of the first is a day that will be seven times brighter than normal and a night that will be as bright as day.
God is not bound by the laws that He established, He can do anything He pleases. Consider some of the other similar miraculous things He has done that defy scientific explanation. In Joshua 10:12-13 God slowed the movement of the Sun down so that Israel could defeat the Amorites in a battle. “So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day." Then in 2 Kings 20:8-11 God moved the shadow on the sundial backwards 10 degrees which appears to have completed the full 24 hour change that God began back in Joshua.
Science would say that is impossibility, but that is because they only understand what is, and can't understand what is possible outside of their knowledge. Just like an audience member may think about a phenomenal illusion that they can't explain.
Pt-14: This opens with a personal soul searching question between the individual and their Maker that reaches the depths of a believer’s heart and exposes the depth of the love of God. Then it moves on into more details of how the brightest day and night may be part of removing the curse on all of nature. Then it begins to consider the next major change to the earth when Jesus brings forth Living Water and how that will bring more change to the earth.
As these messages continue to focus on the Creator, believers who have listened through the series may find their attitude about God changing. This is the testimony of several who have noticed that their appreciation for the beauty in nature has changed from an admirer of art to one who is related to the Artist. The awareness moves from entertainment into love and respect for the only one capable of making such splendor. The sunsets no longer just excite our senses but open us to the realization that the same one who saved us and provides for us is the true Creator of everything.
The more we understand about God the more we feel like David when he wrote Psalms 33:8 “Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him”. This awe is fear mingled with admiration and reverence. It is not the fear than non believers feel when they think of standing before a holy God. It is like a child who becomes aware of a loving parent that knows all of their shortcomings and yet their love continues to show mercy without approving of their actions. .
Each step into this reality changes us and our relationship to God. The explanation for this is in Second Corinthians 3:18 “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

The Creator's Genius Pt-1&2 ~ Message 69
Theme: This sub series, sandwiched in between messages on God’s Schedule, looks at several things in creation that can only be explained by creative design. But unlike other similar studies which primarily seek to disprove evolution and reinforce biblical creation these focus on clues that demonstrate our Creator’s abilities and pure genius.
In Psalms Chapter 111, we read; “Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation. The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein. His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever. He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered.” At reading these verses the mind turns toward salvation, healing the sick, walking on water and other amazing miracles throughout scripture, but there are miracles all around us that are seldom if ever spoken of from pulpits. These have been left to the various branches of science to study and teach. The result is that God’s brilliance is obscured and evidences of undeniable design are omitted completely.
Salient Points: Pt-1 This message is a short study of the Bombardier Beetles and the impossible evolution of their totally unique weapons. This beetle is unlike any other insect that it could have evolved from.
Salient Points: Pt-2 This message is a study of the unique blood flow created for the Giraffe’s head, without which they could not have lived beyond their original existence. No other animal has this unique blood reserve. It keeps them from passing out each time they raise or lower their heads and from being caught easily if threatened while their head is down to drink.

Pt-11: This message gets right into Jesus setting up His Kingdom on Earth and His remodeling it into a glorious global garden
The Scriptures are filled with hints left by God that are designed to stir curiosity about our Creator. John said that the Earth could not contain the books that could have been written about the things that He did but didn’t tell us about. He also told us that He came down to see if there were any that sought after Him and found none. The problem for us is, we believe we have all the answers so the only things we seek from God are His blessings. There is no real concern to know Him better, understand His feelings, or to delve into His awesome genius. We are just like children that are focused on what we can get from our parents but never stop to consider why they should do anything for us or what it cost them to provide it for us.
I have asked several believers, why should God answer our prayers? The answer is either, because He loves us, or because of all we’ve done for Him. We automatically feel God owes us just like children do.

Pt-12: This continues to study changes that God told us about over 2730 years ago.
A most amazing thing is how God is able to tell us what is coming and even explain what to look for as the time draws near, and still leave it up to us as individuals to choose to believe it or not.
Noah preached about the coming flood during the time he built the Ark, but no one really believed him. Jesus even told us in Matthew 24:37-39 “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be... so shall also the coming of the Son of man be”.
We have been told in length about these last days and the whole world senses that major changes are coming. A one world government, a global currency, a one world leader who will gain control peaceably, and it will all make so much sense it will all seem normal, until it is too late. Non believers know about the mark of The Beast, 666, and yet the way it will happen it will be so unexpected. Just as the nation of Israel was told of the coming of the Messiah but they rejected him because he came to them in an unexpected way.
God still uses the unexpected to expose our decisions. From Adam and Eve’s disobedience right up to today it has stayed the same. There are no mulligan’s, there are no do-overs’. Knowledge in advance is the protection God has given us. “Foretold is Forewarned.”

This message considers the most important issue that affects our status in relation to God, and then it start into the Millennial Reign which is the 6th age of the Earth.
From Adam and Eve in the garden until today there is one thing that makes the difference in how valuable each person is to God. It is where our attention is focused. When Adam and Eve chose to pursue what they wanted over what God wanted, they failed the test that God had set up just for them. And so it goes for each of us. When our desires for what we want are greater than our desires to please our Creator, we fail to accomplish what he made us for.
The difference between Martha and Mary as told in the gospels is so subtle that it is hard to understand why Jesus admonished Martha when she was the one doing the work. The problem was not about the work it was where her focus was. Doing the good job was important to her, so much so that she scolded Jesus for not providing some help with the tasks. In our mind we think, someone had to do the work and Martha was doing her best, but in reality Mary had chosen correctly because her attention was on Jesus. Had Jesus explained further to Martha, He may have reminded her of the five thousand that He fed, as a reminder of what He was capable of and could have done for everyone there.
What caused Martha's problem? It is a heart problem as explained in Jeremiah 17:9-10; "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways." The problem is that our heart is set on us and seeks every opportunity to make us feel better about ourselves.

In Isaiah 5:8-13, God issues a very strong warning, saying twice, “Woe unto them that”, then He goes on to describe conditions very similar to today, and in verse 14 He makes a shocking statement that Hell hath enlarged it’s self to accommodate a great number of new inhabitants. What happened when Hell enlarged it’s self? Could it have happened when Noah was in the Ark? No doubt it caused cataclysmic changes when it happened.
In the same passage he explains some of the reasons that brought these people to this destination by telling us, “they regard not the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of his hands”. This entire series about Our Timeless Creator focuses on that very thing.
Multiple testimonies have confirmed that when we come to understand in our hearts, that God is more than our source of relief from problems and a provider of our desires it changes things. We start to see God’s hand in everything in our life and begin to understand how we can actually glorify God just as we are admonished to. “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” (2Cor. 10:31)

This message considers how limited our doctrinal education is in relation to God’s desires.
We have been taught how to serve God and what we should do and not do, but the knowledge of God is extremely limited. There is no real curiosity about why God put the tree of death in the Garden with two innocent people, or why God would choose a death sentence for Jesus instead of just starting over, as he has done before, or why God created evil or why God should ever answer any of our prayers.
The Knowledge of the Holy changes our fellowship with God from abstract into personal. It stops us from thinking of God just as a care giver, protector, provider, savior or celestial bell hop, as so many treat him, into a physical supernatural being with a personality, desires, feelings and most important a purpose for everything he does.
As this change takes place we begin to live less on faith and more by sight with understanding and we begin to walk with Him instead of trying to get Him to walk with us. Only two men in the Scriptures were said to have walked with God, Enoch and Noah. Both of which were lifted up: Enoch in the flesh all the way to Heaven still in his body and Noah who was lifted above the Earth in an Ark on the great flood.

When things go missing we seldom notice until we need them. Probably the most common thing in our life time is our set of keys. If we lose our cell phone it is easier to find, we can call the number and listen for the ring. Even if it has been stolen it has a GPS locator that may find it. We often see people wandering a store parking lot trying to remember where they parked. What if something is missing that we have never had? This message is about that very thing.
This age has become a sharp contrast from 1867 where the fastest transportation was a horse. Roads outside of big cities were all dirt and 92% of all people lived on farms. Back then many believers met any where they could and were glad to have even a Brush Arbor for shelter during a meeting. With our padded pews, audio & video systems, full time pastors and facilities that include coffee shops, gymnasiums, and every other convince available to draw people in and keep them coming, good members get frustrated and go “church shopping” or worse get real burnout and quit trying altogether.
In Revelation Chapter 3: 6; John wrote to us about the future; “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. And in verse 17; ”John wrote about the last of seven Churches in the last days and said: “Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:”
We don’t think that those verses could be referring to us because the need is something we never had, so it’s impossible to miss. In a conversation a man commented that he was extremely worried about the lack of rain; to which another man replied, I don’t because I have a sprinkler system. We don’t have as much need for his help as those before us did.
What has happened is that believers have replaced the need for God with wealth, doctors, electricity, modern science, so on and so forth. It is only when these fail us that we get serious because we may lose their benefit.
There is definitely something missing in our modern church age but it is like a person who has cancer but doesn’t know it, so they continue with their lives until something happens to get their attention. This message is that wakeup call from the speakers personal experience.

This message begins looking at the 4th age of the Earth, which was during the time that Noah was in the Arc and this Description picks up with the message Description in Message 62.
The story of Noah and the flood is one of the salient teachings in the Bible but it has become a story for children instead of recognizing the most important lesson of the flood which is God’s sovereignty over His creation and his disgust of sin.
God gave mankind freewill to expose their heart’s desires and separate those who grieve him from those who desire to please him. The result was that by the time of Noah the whole earth had become so corrupt that God gave up on them and decided to start over again with Noah, his family and especially chosen animals.
Some believe that the account in second Peter 3:5-6 is a description of Noah’s flood but that won’t fit for the following reasons.

The wording in second Peter, “being overflowed with water perished” clearly indicates being rendered useless, which would have required re-creation of all life. Perish is to die, “to be destroyed, to come to nothing”. Everything that was needed for God to start over had survived the flood and that just had to be replenished by Noah, his wife and the Animals that God preserved on the Ark.

The wording in Genesis 1:2, “And the earth was without form” matches the wording in second Peter, not Noah’s flood, (“without form” is lacking a definite shape or shapeless. The mountains that were covered with water in the flood defined a definite shape and “void” is to be completely empty. Only the people and air breathing creatures that weren’t not on the Ark with Noah perished in the flood).

God told Adam and Eve and Noah the exact same thing and in same words; “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth”: see Gen.1:28, and 9:1.
The word replenish is to fill up again, refill, restock or replace. The earth was full of beings before Adam, just as it had been before Noah.
God would have definitely mentioned water in the sequence of events because of its importance. Without the water This Earth would be just like all the other planets in the Solar System but more than that is the importance God puts on it in Scripture.
From Genesis through Revelation the connection to water holds great importance. From parting it to walking on it; From flood to drought; From catching fish to catching men; From preaching from a boat to living water flowing out from the Throne of God; From a sea of glass to a new earth with on more sea; the Spirit and the water and the blood that agree in one or of more importance where water and blood came from Jesus side unpolluted by sin. The significance of water is undeniable. God didn’t re-create it, it was left behind when he separated the water from the water.

This message is on the third age of this earth as described in scripture and contrasts the obvious evidence all around us with the scientific explanation of evolution.
The modern Church Age has failed greatly in allowing one generation after another to be taught by non believing educators. The result is that we now find believers trying to reconcile the teaching of evolution with the biblical description of creation or believing in evolution, in place of the scriptural account. We have become intimidated by those who believe that the Universe started miraculously by a Big Bang in a vacuum, but reject the obvious proof that is all around us of creation.
Satan approached Eve with a lie and a sales pitch offering more than God had given her and the desire to have what she wanted made Satan’s argument easy to believe. The same is true today, the unbelievers don’t want to think about becoming accountable to a higher power and evolution is a way to dismiss God’s existence, and our accountability.
This failure of the Church is one of omission, for had the instructions in Psalm been taught as intended the reality of creation would have been much easier to defend.
“Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.” Ps. 145:3-4

What people believe is very controlling. It provides direction in life but how we come to believe what we do is seldom ever thought about. People were taught that the world was flat and that was the primary reason that they congregated in Europe and Africa instead of exploring the earth. Even after Columbus proved it is round many refused to believe any differently. They were unaware that the Old Testament in Isaiah described the Earth as a circle, see 40: 22.

Many times we ask, "Why God" but that is our way of questioning God for something He did, or allowed to happen to us. We fail to realize that what we are actually doing is questioning God's judgment. What we should be questioning is God's motive instead.

Why does God allow good to suffer at the hands of evil? The question should be: God will you help me understand you better, to be able appreciate your genius.

In this Sunday evening message the common mistake that everyone makes that gets them into trouble is considered, along with how to avoid this trap.
Have you ever wondered what could have happened to someone who was very well respected and yet had fallen into some unimaginable immoral sin that destroyed their lives? This second part considers how and why God created a seven day week and considers why He established a day that begins at six each evening rather than at midnight.
A major error in attempting to understand future events is using our own understanding of how we do things rather than studying what God created and why. How did it become accepted that Sunday is a day of rest when in reality it is Saturday that is a day of rest.
More than likely it is because the events that established the New Testament Church took place on the first day of the week. Jesus was raised on the first day of the week, early believers meet on the first day of the week and the Holy Spirit came on the first day of the week. God established the first day of the week as a day of new beginnings, a fresh start, a day of change.
If we are trying to understand God’s timing we should study the schedule that He established and work from there rather than search for supporting evidence to reinforce our opinions.

This first message in this series considers what brought about the Church age and subsequently the Rapture of all the Saints in Christ Jesus.
Biblical scholars have tried for years to unlock the mysteries that God has hidden in His word only to be frustrated by events that followed. Some even making bold statements such as, if Hitler isn’t the Anti Christ I’ll quit the ministry, or in naming a specific date that the Rapture will take place.
These errors start with an idea and then research is done to find supporting proof text. At some point they come to believe so strongly in their idea that they develop a following as they convince others that they have solved some great mystery. More than likely they don’t teach what Jesus said in Mathew 11:25, “I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.” Or in 1 Corinthians 1:26-29; “For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.”
In Matthew chapter 11 John Baptists disciples came seeking answers to God’s mysteries and near the end of his explanation Jesus said, “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me”. By saying that he gave us a hint of what we should be looking for, that being how God has chosen to do things, where his interests are, what schedule he is working on and how he benefits from doing things in his own way.

This message looks into several unique places in scripture that reflect the events and attitude of believers nearing the time of the Rapture
To say that the Bible is a most unique work is an extreme understatement. The number of writers is still unknown and during the time period from the book of Job, around 1520 BC up to the first mechanical rapid printing, of the Gutenberg Bible printed around 1455 AD it was copied over and over by hand which should have produced a work of contradictions and provable errors but it hasn’t. Oh yes it has a vast number of critics who think it has errors and many today believe they are qualified to correct the mistakes, but this has produced well over 600 other English versions, all of which conflict with each other in a variety of ways. So why is it that with all those competitors The Authorized King James Version, which is now over 400 years old stands out from all the rest? Simple, “It’s the one that works”. That was Charlton Heston’s statement when he was asked why they chose it for the movie Ben Hur. That is also the testimony of millions who have experienced its life changing power. Although a more accurate answer is found in its own pages; Psalm12:6-7, “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever.”

The coming rapture is one of the most exciting and mysterious events described in the bible. The magnitude of this event has yet to be clearly understood. Will graves open like the open tomb? What will the extent of the ensuing chaos be when people around the world just instantly disappear?
Paul wrote to the Thessalonians, For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God. Then John on Patmos wrote, Behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and immediately I was in the spirit. Of the coming two witnesses we read, and they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud.

This message explains clearly why it is so hard to live by faith and what all the Disciples failed to understand that caused Jesus to ask them, “Why are you so fearful? how is it that you have no faith?”
Faith is essential for living without fear. It allows us to venture into areas that are dangerous and still stay focused on a task at hand.
There are over 32,000 vehicle accidents daily in the U.S. but we calmly take to the road and trust other drivers to avoid us. This trust is developed through experience. The scriptures explain it as a progression, tribulation leads to patience which leads to experience and that leads to hope and faith is the substance of things hoped for; (see Romans 5 and Hebrews 11).
The more faith we have the less fear we feel and the more peace we enjoy.
For believers we are told that “without faith it is impossible to please God” and that God created everything for His pleasure, so it is impossible to accomplish the very reason for our existence without faith (see Revelation 4:11).

This message looks at the bible as though it were a puzzle and the more pieces we find the clearer the picture becomes.
Some say that a picture is worth a thousand words but there are pictures with multiple images in one illustration. An internet search of "two faces or a vase" or "an old woman or a young woman" reveals examples that teach that our perspective is important. What our interests are on controls more than we realize. The disciples only saw the storm until Jesus calmed sea because there focus was on self preservation rather than the Son of God.
The entire word of God works the same way, when we are about self we miss the big picture, the stories become entertainment rather than a view into God's interaction with His creation. We miss completely how God thinks, what He wants or the final end product of His work over thousands of years. This message considers several things that should stir curiosity about why God told us about these things in the way He did and how He may benefit from our responses.
Although the Bible is full of short stories that appear to stand alone they are definitely linked into past events and into future prophecies. They are hints that God has left for us to discover more about the mysteries of His creation.
As an example; the connections between when Moses turned the water into blood that killed all the fish in Egypt and then the first public miracle as Jesus turned water into wine, then Jesus saying to Simon Peter and Andrew “I will make you fishers of men”, then when they pierced Jesus side and there came forth water and blood unmixed.

The first half of this lesson is a testimony of some believers, who like Moses sought after the glory of God and were changed as the scriptures say from Glory to Glory.
Jesus said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30. Does this describe our daily lives as children of God? If not then something is missing or Jesus didn't mean what we think he meant.
Far too many of us would more likely say we come to church with the cares of life pressing down on us and leave the same way. Oh we feel better for having been in attendance but the burdens are still there as we leave. The next service and the next are much the same with the occasional special meetings are a nice change that offers some variety.
The more modern services offer a lot to draw people in but can we honestly say we come before the LORD with heartfelt praise because our love for him grows stronger with each service? Can there really be a life like Jesus said, one of light burdens and rest in Him. Jesus said learn of me, is the “of” subject or object?
We know all about him and have for some time but can we say our knowledge has led us to know him? What excites him? What delights him? What would cause him to say; you have chosen the good part which shall not be taken from you, as he did when he complemented Mary while chastising Martha in Luke 10:38-42? After all Martha was doing all the work and somebody had to do it, right? It sure seems like Mary’s was the one with the easy yoke and light burden.

This message considers how Jesus taught so that everyone would be able to understand.
From the cradle to the grave we never stop learning. No matter how much we are taught we can always learn more about how to do what we do. The problem is in knowing that what we learn is the right. The three most reliable sources to learn from, moving from worst to best are as follows. First is from the mistakes of others. Second and longer remembered are our own mistakes. Last of all and the very best is from an infallible source that has never failed. The obvious and only source for this is God who has never failed. The problem here is interpreting the information, which is left in many cases to the student to learn from the Spirit of God, but that takes faith which is harder so most choose the easy way out and follow others advice, which is more about who they like or trust. Learning from the scripture has a learning curve but God is patient and a great teacher. For those who start seeking for the truth God will respond but he doesn’t compete for our attention.
The bible is not a text book to read front to back and pass a test. Sadly there many, many true believers that have never read it through even once because it’s easier to pay a preacher to study it and then tell them what they should do. The trouble is there won’t be a Joint Trial for groups it will be one at a time; “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.” Romans 14:12
To add to the urgency, the results of the judgment will have eternal consequences or rewards. “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment,” Matthew 12:36. These verses are not meant to scare us; they are to inform us of the importance of our actions.
God has provided us with the Bible, Pastors, Teachers, Brothers, Sisters and his Comforter not only to teach us but provide leadership to follow. He also is the official interpreter of the Bible. The Spirit is also the most reliable resource he gave us. He not only teaches and guides but also keeps us from being deceived. Our part is learning to listen to his instructions.
Some of the easiest scripture to understand is where Jesus uses as or like in the text. Because it builds on our previous knowledge so we don’t miss what he is saying to us.

This message addresses two subjects briefly. The first considers why we worry so much. The second is an explanation of lunar dust (don’t miss the description at the bottom of this column).
We have been admonished not to worry but instead to trust God more; “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God” Philippians 4:6 .
This doesn't come easy during frightening situations. So how can we replace fear with faith? When King David's life was threatened by his own men in !st Samuel 30 he “encouraged himself in the LORD his God” and then asked God for guidance. No doubt he remembered the past times that God had delivered him from a lion, bear and King Saul as well as many others, but in this case his own men were threatening to kill him. All it took for David to regain courage was remember how helpless he was and how his God had proved himself in times past. Jesus reminded the Disciples after he calmed the sea, of miracles he had done before, to calm their fear.
For us, all we need to remember is that God is so acutely aware of us that he is keeping up with every hair that we lose, in real time.
The secret of Lunar Dust is one of the best kept secrets of our lifetime! The lunar landing was an incredible accomplishment but when they landed, what they learned was not what they wanted to believe so they hushed it up. More than likely for the same reason the natural man doesn’t want to believe in God, (see Romans chapter one.) Belief in God brings a future accountability for their actions. Why do people slow down instinctively when they see a police vehicle? They carry a sense of guilt that makes them respond to authority.
From here down this explains how God has things worked things out to misdirect scientific conclusions. This Earth is the same one spoken of in 2 Peter 3 which sank and perished. So when we read Genesis 1:1 there is only one heaven, Gods home and one earth and it was deep in water and in darkness in the Great Deeps, (Job 38:30). In Gen. 1:3 God allowed light. Then he created the vacuum of space by separating the water from the water. At that point the Earth was still covered with the water he left behind; he gathered that together to let the dry land appear.
Following the flood God told Noah “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth,” (Gen9:1). Which is exactly what he told Adam and Eve, (Gen 1:28). {REPLEN'ISH, verb intransitive. To recover former fullness: N. Webster 1828}.
There was life on Earth before it sank. No one knows the age of that one . What has the scientists confused is that the age of the Earth has been estimated at around 144 million years and the Lunar Dust thickness should have been around 63 feet thick, according to their calculations. The actual amount Lunar Dust found is in agreement with the Bible, which should measure 3/32s of an inch, just under 1/8". That is just slightly under what they report to the whole world; it’s about 1/8" thick.

This message considers many of the things that cause us to make our decisions, and defines who we can trust with complete confidence.
This life altering question is arguably the most important question that anyone can ask. Choosing a career, residence, doctor or a spouse is usually more a matter of availability or the influence of others. We follow the leadership of those we trust more than we trust ourselves. Unfortunately too many times the results come out less than hoped for. I trusted a doctor who treated a progressively debilitating illness for over fifteen years and was on deaths door before finding a doctor who knew the cure. The difficulty was not the fault of the doctor; it was in making my choice of a doctor and then ignoring the continued lack of improvement and not looking for other solutions.
We put up with disappointments in life not because we have no other choice but because it is much easier than attempting change. We cling to hope that things will change and continue going down the same road as we complain about all the potholes.
Insanity is described as; "Doing the same things over and over and expecting different results."
Most things in life are too complicated for a single answer but not with God, he has provided us with an infallible solution; the Spirit of truth. Unfortunately this is not often taught because it can conflict with church leadership. So the question is who can we really trust when looking for help in making our decisions?

This message goes beyond what we sing or how we sing. It considers how God feels about our singing and the difference it makes to Him.
Singing is a major part of church services, in part because of Psalm 100:2; “Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.” Unfortunately it has become all too familiar to us. We can sing many of the songs from memory but how much of our singing still excite our emotions of love, appreciation, gratitude or wonder. I have looked around and seen faces that have lost connection with the words of the songs and even worse, some don’t sing at all. I have heard comments like, if your happy tell your face about it, or do you really believe that there is power in the blood then sing like it. I even fear that we may find that some of our singing may qualify under “taking the name of the Lord in vain”, which is to no purpose, because our hearts are not in it and we feel little or nothing as we sing.
Music that makes us feel good can soon become a favorite but if it doesn’t draw our attention to the message of the song then it falls short of God’s intended purpose for singing. Spiritual songs should reach our heart and develop stronger feelings of love and appreciation, especially when you have a direct connection to the subject of the words. This is what God is interested in; singing that comes from our hearts.
I believe that the phrase “Familiarity breeds contempt” may be applied here. Just like a visitor that once knocked before entering can become accustom to entering without knocking because the routine causes a loss of appreciation for the privacy of their host. We can also grow accustomed to the routine of church life and loose the heartfelt appreciation for the miracle of our so undeserved salvation.

This message looks at Jesus’ hidden motive for admonishing all believers to watch continually for His return. He is looking for something.
There are several things covered in this lesson as you will see if you read the list of Salient Points. However the main point is about what important difference it will make if we are watching for Jesus to come back when it happens. It has been nearly 2000 years since Jesus ascended leaving us with the promise of His return and many have lived and died with their hopes and expectations unfulfilled. The question may easily be asked, what difference could it possibly make to them now. And yet it actually does, Jesus is looking for a quality in His children that separates those who are watching from those who have been distracted. A serious hint is in what God looked for in the book of Judges, Chapter 7: 4-7.

This message gets into the change that we experience in viewing the world around us when we become acutely aware of the genius of our Creator.
Once I heard a song about someone who was tired of being stirred without being changed. It was how we have our emotions stirred temporarily, like stirring water without adding anything to it, it slows down and stops and stays quite the same. The life of a believer is much the same, stirred on Sunday only to slow down during the following week.
God gives us a hint about a guaranteed change that He will make in us as we recognize his glory. A little like someone admiring a stunning work of art that excites their emotions and turns to a bystander to comment, then finds out that the person is the artist. All the excitement shifts from the artwork over to the artist. Then they begin to see all the artists work quite differently. (see 2Cor. 3:18)

This message focuses on the parental side of God that enjoys His children as they look for and find His hidden secrets while He gives hints that lead them to the treasures that He has hidden especially for them.
We know from Revelation 4:11, that all things past and present are created for God’s pleasure. Then it is obvious that God is primarily concerned with enjoying His creation, and not just out in the future because He had John write “ARE AND WERE CREATED”. The question then comes up, where God finds pleasure now.

This message considers why Jesus told us all to watch and the difference that it makes.
From the time that Jesus told Peter, James, John and Andrew privately on the Mount of Olives to be watching for His return literally billions of people have believed that Jesus will be coming back in their life time. So much so that after Jesus ascended up into Heaven all those standing there continued to watch as though he were coming back while they waited. (see Acts 1:11) At that point they had no understanding of how future events would unfold. For us it is much clearer now. Jesus will make a total of three trips to Earth. The First Time He came as the Savior, The Second Time He will come secretly to take all the Saints and Third Time He will come back boldly with the Saints as King of Kings to rule and reign for a thousand years.
The hard part for us is waiting because we are God's children and like children we are impatient and we want Him to come now. God anticipates this event quite differently, much like a farmer anxiously awaits harvest time.

In part 4 the focus is on how God feels about this coming spectacular event named the Rapture.

At Christmas time children rarely if ever consider how their parents feel about this most special time of year. Why they buy them presents, why all the secrecy surrounding gift giving and why they build all the mystery about what's in the packages. Some disobedient children even go so far as to carefully open them, sneak peeks and re-wrap them to satisfy their insatiable curiosity. Not realizing how badly they have damaged the reaction of surprise for themselves and their parents. If the parents discover their selfish secret the excitement of anticipation for the parents changes to extreme disappointment. No doubt very few children would wish to do such damage to their parents, but curiosity got Eve also.
In this short example the problem isn't in the action, it's in the selfishness that brought about the action. We as God's children have the same problem we don't think about why God does things like he does or how he will benefit from the way he has chosen to rapture the saints.

This message is part 3 which draws our attention back to this incredible event that God has staged like a surprise party where all the saints, both living and dead will be the invited guests.
There are said to be over a thousand commandments in the New Testament for Believers to follow. Most are negative but there are many that are positive, such as, Thou shalt honor thy father and mother that it may be well with thee and thou mayest live long upon the earth (Eph. 6:1-3). Another is when Jesus told four disciples privately, what I say unto you I say unto all, watch, (Mk 13:37), this He spoke of His return. The problem is that we are so easily distracted by daily living and the fact that it has been almost two thousand years since He commanded all to watch, that we don't really take it to heart.

This message considers why God keeps secrets.
God demonstrates His sense of intrigue by keeping many secrets from His creation. He gave Daniel a vision and had him write it down without showing him what it meant. He took Paul up to the Third Heaven then made him keep it a secret from everyone else. He let John see much more than is written in the book of Revelation and then stopped him from writing it all down, but of all the secrets that God keeps from us, the greatest by far is when Jesus will return to get all those who are “In Christ”. To add to the mystery we are told it will be at a time when we don’t think it will happen then He tells us to keep watching anyway.

After Jesus calmed the storm He asked His disciples, why are you so fearful? how is it that you have no faith? His question only made them more fearful. Their response was inappropriate because they had gone into panic mode and they forgot all the previous miracles. Jesus reason for asking them the question was to get them to search their hearts.
We all become fearful when dangerous circumstances are beyond our control, so the important part of the question is why we lack faith. This message considers the answer.

This is the first message about the last days and considers verses that are not usually thought of concerning this subject.
From 1976 through around 2002 the subject of the Rapture of the Church caught the attention of many pastors and teachers and then it quieted down. Maybe due to the embarrassment that was felt as predictions failed and dates came and went without incident. This is also a sign of the soon return of Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:3-4 "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation." If you also consider Matthew 24: 44 "Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh." These verses fit perfectly with the attitude of indifference that believers feel about this future event but still we have been admonished to continue watching.

This message considers the many ways that believers will feel when they meet God for the first time. Then it goes on to narrow the possibilities down to just two.
He has gone to meet his maker is a phrase that most people are familiar with. It infers that someone has passed on from this life and now will get what he has coming and not necessarily in a good way. The bible tells us that we will all stand before God at one time or another, but even the most dedicated believers don’t imagine what it will be like when it is their turn to stand before the eternal being that created the universe by the breath of His mouth.

We often ask "Why God", to find some relief for things that happen to us, but rarely if ever to understand God better.
In Romans 1:19-20 we are told that God may be understood by the things that He made and He also told us that He made changes to how long people live at two different times.
Our bodies replace themselves one cell at a time with new ones as the old ones wear out. The bones take the longest, about 7 years. Our brains cells are still in debate as far as replacement but we only use about 10% anyway.
Methuselah lived before Noah and was the oldest man in the Bible. He made it to 969, far beyond our current life span. So why do we age so quickly as compared to people before the flood and why did God decide to change man's life span? These questions are answered and much more in this message.

This message starts with two significant questions then continues with how we separate our spiritual life from our temporal life and closes with King David's most humbling observation.
Today's modern evangelical Church has focused on things that avoid controversy with unbelievers and has focused on spiritual subjects that build the ministries of the local church. It has become somewhat mystical to nonbelievers who view it with suspicion because of all the different beliefs and hypocrisy of those who attend but act just like everyone else while they are outside the church building.
Here we are in a physical universe on a physical planet with physical people all created by the most remarkable eternal being, and yet that is intentionally left out of the churches messages. What has happened to the awe and wonder in Job chapters 38 and 39 where God spoke to Job about what he had made? Simple, Proverbs 29:25 , “The fear of man bringeth a snare”. We have been intimidated by “educated” teachers who know nothing of God’s life transforming salvation, and also because Psalm 145:3-4 is not beeing taught. “Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.”

Today's modern evangelical Church is being forced into quarantine by a world of disbelievers. We are told to separate our beliefs from daily interaction with the public because it may be offensive. Our beliefs are no longer welcome in government, public schools, higher education, evolutionary science or the vast majority of entertainment and the media. As a result we have separated God from our own personal activities by making church something that we do like going to work or shopping. The reality is that we as believers are to acknowledge God and glorify Him in everything that we do.

This message considers our interactions with God when we want something from him but fail to receive it over and over and are left wondering why God doesn’t respond when it seems in every way that he should if he really cared.
When we want something we approach him as children do their parents by simply praying for something. If that doesn’t provide results we want then we ask more fervently and more often but that usually tapers off into frustration from his lack of response.
Our problem is that the church has focused on salvation, service and the needs of the ministries so much that we automatically begin to think of God as our supply source. So we start negotiating with him to get what we want. One of the ways is to offer him something “I will, if you will”, in an effort to coerce him into getting what we want in a bartering a deal.
The difficulty is that we can offer nothing that he needs so when that fails we don’t yield to his will like Jesus did in the garden when he prayed; we change tactics and try again even asking others to help us pray about it. The majority of the time the effort just ends in frustration and many times in anger thinking of all we have done for him and we get this kind of treatment. What is our trouble? Answer: Psalms 50:21“These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee...” Psalms 50:21
n As we gain in experiences we learn to accept praying without results and our prayers go from passionate and fervent to routine and dutiful because; “Hope deferred maketh the heart sick…” Proverbs 13:12
The final chapter for most is moving religion over to a side burner where we do that which is expected on the outside while our hearts cool off toward God and become institutionalized. As that happens our love moves from God over to our local church friends, teachers and pastors as more of a social club than a growing personal relationship with our loving Creator. Finally it becomes just one of the things we do from week to week without any lasting change.
This message gives a different perspective and view of our relationship to our Heavenly Father.

This message continues considering the affect on each generation that has become increasingly ignorant of Gods wondrous works.
Nearly everyone appreciates a magnificent sunrise or sunset or the abundant beauty of a perfect spring day in its colorful splendor. We are impressed with the beauty of the first soft blanket of snow that changes the ordinary into the extraordinary. We get soft warm feelings at holding a new born baby, especially our own, or grandchild. We thoroughly enjoy the flavors in our favorite meals but how often are we impressed with the unimaginable genius and design involved in the ability to create these things. To go just one step further, has the thought ever occurred in our minds to be grateful for whose air we breathe?
We each occupy just a short moment in the fabric of eternity and fail to realize that everything we have experienced is due to God having created it for his own pleasure. He has provided us with a share just like children that are born into a very rich family. They can’t appreciate the abundance of their surroundings or who is responsible for it because their knowledge and perspectives are limited.

Message Title: How Love Changes everything
This message considers what actually increases our love for each other and for God.
Love is spoken of in two different ways. First is the love we have for what benefits us, such as certain foods, homes and so on. The second is where we feel a strong emotional bond, such as for a family member. In this case if the love is strong enough it will change our motives. An example may be shopping for Christmas presents which will become an opportunity to express our love rather than just fulfilling a duty or impressing with a gift. It changes the same action from an obligation into a pleasure. This is the love that Jesus spoke of when He said "If ye love me keep my commandments". The problem is how to increase our love to the point that obeying is not just a routine but is exciting for us and a real pleasure for God.

This message is a look into God’s motives for how and why he does things the way he does. “Let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.” Jeremiah 9:24
“A clear and certain perception of that which exists” is one of the definitions of knowledge. This definition is like a child who knows who their parents are and can identify them and also describe much of what they do, but they have no idea of why they wanted to bring children into the world. As God’s children we all know who God is and could say much about him but just like children, we know very little about God’s motive for creating mankind. In fact, many times we question him and even disagree with him just like children do with their parents. This independence that lets us believe that we are actually capable of criticizing the creator of the Universe is how God separates the humble from the proud and those who desire to please him from those who are self serving.

This message looks at the most important personal attribute of all and does it by contrasting what impresses us with what impresses God.
In a conversation once a person said, “I’m a good person, I recycle”. As the conversation continued it became clear that they were of the opinion that this one act was enough to qualify them as a good person. I’m sure that we could come up with a much longer list for ourselves.
One of the most famous lists was published in 1969 by Norman Anderson, in which he listed 555 personal qualities, some good and some bad. The interesting thing is the one that God says is the most important is missing from that list.

A major dilemma for today’s believers is the diversity of beliefs in denominations, bible versions, pastors, teachers and even those who attend the same churches. No matter where a person may turn for reliable answers they will find differences of opinions. Confusion is minimized only when we choose to trust a single source. The problem is who is right. That brings us back to trusting ourselves to decide. The problem then is how we can know that we are right; Knowing God as We Ought To.

One of the greatest questions in life is, “Why God?” Why did you let this happen, why didn’t you stop that, why don’t you heal more, why don’t you bless our efforts more, why don’t you answer our prayers, the list is nearly endless. From our point of view God could, and should fix a lot more than he does. So why doesn’t he?

This message is the first part in a study of why, we as believers, are so fearful about problems in life and how we can gain in faith and live in peace even in the worst of times.
In Mark chapter 4, Jesus calmed the sea, saving all those with Him and all the other ships also. Afterward Jesus asked the question, “Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?” The response was not that of gratitude or relief. Surprisingly we read in the next verse; “And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”
Jesus question was no doubt a rhetorical one that was intended to get those, that He had just saved, to question themselves and realize how foolish their response was. The question applies just as much to us today and maybe even more because we know from Hebrews 11:6 that faith is essential for us to please God.

This message continues the study of our motives in serving God and how easily our efforts can change from serving in love into a service of duty.
We are much like Cain and Abel. Both had a desire to please the LORD with their offerings, but Abel’s offering was from the heart as evidence of his appreciation for the LORD’s blessings and his motive was the LORD’s pleasure. Whereas Cain’s offering was meant to gain more favor by impressing the LORD with the quality of his efforts.
Jesus said “If ye love me keep my commandments”. We see things from the outside, like keeping a score board. How many in attendances, offering sizes, number of conversions and so on and if they show growth they make us feel successful but Jesus said “without me ye can do nothing”. The way to tell the difference between the outward appearance and the heart is who you want to benefit from your efforts.

In this message there are three life altering questions asked and answered, that can give us a reason to pause and consider what our daily efforts are creating, as we hurriedly stack one day on another like the building blocks of life. The Questions: Who Is God? Who Are We? What Does God Want?
Few people have time to think about the really important questions in life. They are busy just making ends meet, having fun and solving problems. If asked the question, why were you born, their first thought may be, what are you talking about, I don’t have time to think about things like that, but a question like that can change a life. We are easily overwhelmed with life’s details and we lose sight of what it is all about. Like a brick layer focusing on how many bricks he is laying every day no longer thinks about what he is building or how important it is or who will benefit by his work.

This message is a serious look into our motives for serving God and how our motive can cause us to take credit for His results. In much the same way as a child who had been given money to buy a present may feel about how much they had paid for a gift.
Jesus said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” This makes it clear that why we do something is more important than what we do. An example of this would be to buy a Christmas present because it is Christmas, or to buy it because we want the receiver to benefit from the gift. One is a matter of duty and the other is an act of love. Paul, in writing to the Church at Corinth told them, “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” We can get a sense of relief or a feeling of accomplishment when our motive is about duty or fulfilling a need, but the feelings of elation, that Paul spoke about only come by actions motivated by love.

This message doesn’t focus on the problems as the cause for our fears; it identifies why those in the boat were afraid of the storm and why they became more fearful after Jesus had performed the miracle. The answer applies directly to us as believers.
In Mark chapter five Jesus performed a great miracle when He said unto the sea “Peace, be still” and the wind and sea obeyed Him. Then immediately He turned to those in the ship and asked the question, “Why are you so fearful? how is it that you have no faith?” He didn’t ask them to get an answer, He knew why. Jesus ask the question for them to think about why they had become so afraid and what caused them to completely lose their faith. Their response, in the very next verse, was an increase in their fear instead of calming them down.
The question, why are you so fearful, applies to us today and maybe even more. Stress and worry come at us from every direction leaving us oppressed, frustrated and discouraged. If it becomes overwhelming we experience panic attacks, the fight or flight response kicks in and finally we begin to withdraw into ourselves.
As believers there is a solution, but it isn’t found in relief from the problems it’s in the question that Jesus asked.

This message identifies the initial wrong turn that we all take that leads us away from God’s desires and His fellowship.
In the scriptures, as well as in our own lives we can see clearly that there are times when God’s creation is closer to Him than at other times. King David, a man after God’s own heart went up against Goliath in righteous anger because he had spoken evil of God, and later sinned greatly in the matter of Bathsheba and Uriah. Moses spoke with God as friend to friend and miraculously received the Ten Commandments from God’s own hand but then disobeyed by smiting the rock instead of just speaking to it as God had instructed. What happened to these great men that caused such failures, and is there something we can learn from their mistakes and avoid them?

This message is to remind us of how blessed we are. It is also a reminder that what God has blessed us with was not to spoil us, but an opportunity to love and appreciate Him more for it.
In a conversation with an extremely wealthy man, a less successful man said, I have more than you do, to which the richer man replied, I know your holdings, how can you say that, the reply was simple, I have enough, and you don’t.
A major flaw in mankind is, always wanting more. Even with things we already have we want better ones. From phones to refrigerators, from cars to houses we want more bells and whistles. It’s as though no matter how much we get, we will always want a better one.
In Luke chapter 12, we are cautioned that, the more we have the more we will be accountable for, but we continue to ask for more. In the book of Jeremiah we are warned not to glory in our blessings, successes or talents that God provides us with, but still the more we have the better we feel about ourselves.

The message, Why Doesn’t God Answer Our Prayers?, considers the differences between answered prayers and the unanswered ones and what made the difference.
We seek God’s help repeatedly for needs like; problem relationships, financial difficulties, salvation for loved ones or healing for those seriously ill, and if God fails to act, our normal response is to pray more fervently and more often. Maybe we should try to understand God better and consider why God answers some of our prayers and not others?

This Message considers why nine of the ten lepers who were healed completely missed the glory of God, even as the tenth one glorified God in their presence. They had heard him proclaim with a loud voice and likely watched him go to Jesus and fall on his knees but missed out on what Jesus was thinking when he said, “Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?” This is like when Jesus calmed the storm and then asked, “Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?” (See Mark 4:36-41) When Jesus healed ten lepers and asks a question he already knows the answer, so why does he ask? So we will think about how we would answer the question just as if he were asking us.
This message considers how elusive glorifying God is and distinguishes between service, thankfulness and giving God glory.

In this third part, the profound question of why God created mankind on this earth and then doesn't seem to care enough about us to stop the suffering, is made clear.
Injustices here have continued from the time that God allowed Cain to kill Able. Oh we don't think about it that way, we just blame Cain for the crime and then let it go, but in fact God could have spoken to Cain long before he took action against Able, just as He did after it was too late. The question then is why does God allow the innocent to suffer at the hands of evil?
In the story of Lazarus death Jesus waited until he had been dead four days before taking action. He also waited until Peter began to sink when he walked on the water before saving him. God didn't stop Abraham from smiting the rock after He said to speak to it or King David from committing adultery and murder. From innocent children with terminal cancer to the most outrageous atrocities of governments we look on with grief in our hearts and wonder how a Holy God could allow such suffering.
In this study of God's desires, it becomes clear that He has a secret master plan in which He is allowing mankind and Satan some freedom to bring about His real purpose.

Here the subject transitions from the way God has given us to prove that what we are doing is pleasing God, into things that He tells us plainly that He receives with pleasure. It also exposes hidden feelings of self importance that we feel when we do things that we know He wants us to.
When Martha invited Jesus into her house, in Luke chapter ten a strange thing happened that caused Jesus to scold Martha for asking for help with her service for Him and the others there. The first impression is that Martha was the only one working to provide food and comfort for all the guests. So why would Jesus compliment Mary while she was doing nothing? Wasn't there a need? Didn't someone need to do the work if they were going to have something to eat?
This story is an example of what Paul was telling the Romans when he said, "Ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God". For many years my greatest frustrations as a believer was to know what God could do and watch him do nothing. What seems apparent to us needs to be confirmed by the Spirit of God or we will become as frustrated and confused as Martha.

God's Wish List: A way to confirm the things we believe are in God’s will | Part 2 of 3
This continues to explain why God gave us a way to confirm the things we believe are in God’s will, really are and not just what seems right to us. It also continues to look at some specific things that God desires but are seldom if ever connected directly to serving God.
Proverbs 16:25 says, “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” This short verse shows us how we can believe sincerely that we are doing exactly what pleases God, but still be wrong.
One of the ways that seems right is our conscience, and that leads us to believe that if we do enough good things then they overrule the bad things. It also shows us that our ways are far from God’s ways. No doubt if we were God, we would never allow all the evil things to continue as they are on earth. God’s purpose for this creation is for each person to make individual choices, just as Adam and Eve did. God put a bad tree in the garden and simply said don’t eat that. That is what God is doing in each life. Our conscience lets us know what we shouldn’t do, but just following our conscience can’t get rid of the bad choices we have already made. God’s salvation can take care of those sins, but not the problem of doing things the way that seems so right for us. That’s why God gave us a way to find the truth, so we can make good choices as we go.
