Honestly, I miss meeting you here, sharing stories in song.

The 251st open mic about high school, initially I wanted to sing the song "Love Story at School" by Obbie Messakh. After I found out, it turned out that dinda rahmadina had sung the song so beautifully. I don't want to repeat singing that song again, because my voice is not as beautiful as her voice
I'm thinking a little about what song I want to sing related to this theme. Because Indonesian songs rarely tell stories about high school. Only tells about adolescence and youth, without explaining about school. Until finally I found the song "Buku Ini Aku Pinjam (I Borrowed This Book)" by Iwan Fals.

Like the last few days, when I don't have a chance to write about production music, I will post my singing.
Here I do not want to show the results of mixing and mastering as I have written so far, because my singing does not end with mixing and mastering.
Why did it happen?
As I have said, that does not have adequate equipment.
This time I will post a song entitled the deepest. I sing this song through the recording process via a laptop, because I have to enter two guitar instruments.
The first guitar as melody and the second guitar played by my friend as rhythm.

BELIEVE I HAVEN'T HEARED THIS RECORDING BEFORE
I didn't really hear this song perfectly; I only listened briefly while applying some effects to make my voice sound unnatural. At least in the same way that my previous song, Compressor, Equalizer, and Reverb, did.
WHY DARE TO POST ON HIVE?
I really don't want to be absent from posting every day right now. If I don't make a post, it feels like my day is lonely, with nothing to look forward to. At the very least, when I make a post, I will smile when someone responds to it.
My health isn't great right now, and I've been sleeping for more than half a day. I get up, eat, and then go to my son's school, returning at 7 p.m. After arriving home, I ate and played with my children for a while before falling asleep at 8 p.m. and waking up at 10 p.m.
At the time, I was stumped as to what to post on hive; to write, it felt as if my mind couldn't think of anything. Meanwhile, there isn't a single picture on my phone that I took for this post.
I immediately thought of my friend who owns the studio and called to find out where he was. He responds that he is at home, but that his computer is currently being used to create some videos. Nonetheless, I went to his house in the hopes of finding some time to record.
Sure enough, when he went to the store to get some necessities, I quickly took over his computer and downloaded this original song. After downloading, I used the available apps to remove the vocals and make it minus one. Then I loaded it into the DAW FL 20, set the recording settings, and went into the recording room.
I took my cellphone into the recording studio and recorded my face while singing the song. After that, I went straight to the computer, added some effects, and made the song in wave form before sending the audio file to my Whatsapp. I excused my friend to go home after I double-checked that everything had been sent.
When I got home, I opened my laptop and used Adobe Premiere Pro to combine the audio file with the video from my cellphone. As soon as I finished, I immediately put it into #threespeak while writing this article.
ABOUT THIS SONG
This song is performed by my idol singer, who is also from my hometown. Bob Rezal was the singer's name, but he died in 2003.
This song was recorded in 1987, when he was still a well-known singer in Malaysia, and was produced by AMI RECORD.
If you notice that the music isn't great and that many frequencies are missing, that's completely normal given that this song was recorded 35 years ago, when I was only three years old.
I write the lyrics here so that my friends can understand what is being said in the song.

Friends here certainly know me through posts that always contain production music. I always explain how to make good music in theory or tutorials in every post.
If you look at my posts, there are reviews on Music Theory, DAW, Arrangements, Mixing, Mastering, and others. You will think that I am very good at music.
The reality is not
I always say in my posts that I am new to learning, and my posts are based on what I have learned from friends who I refer to as my teachers.
If you want me to demonstrate a theory, article, or tutorial that I provide as part of a project, I can tell you that I can't.
Why??
Because I lack the necessary equipment to produce professional music. If you're curious about what I have, you can read about it in this post.
But on this particular occasion, I don't want to write an article; instead, I want to provide something different than usual. I'd like to tell you the story behind the video I provided.
My friend first purchased a music production kit, and then I went to his house and discussed it.
Since he uses the FL Studio DAW and still doesn't understand how to use it, I gave him a brief explanation of what he should do with it.
We talked until late at night.
So, just as I was about to leave, he said, "Let me learn to take your vocals."
"You should know I can't sing," I told him.
"It's okay," he said again, "I just wanted to practice taking vocals with FL Studio 20."
Then I agreed to his request, went into the recording room, played the guitar, and he recorded my voice.
After my voice was recorded, I told him again, "I want to go home, because it's almost morning".
But he still stopped me by asking me to practice mixing. I said we'd continue the discussion about mixing tomorrow, but I felt compelled to explain a little.
Finally, with very little time, I attempted to play with some plugins such as Compressor, Equalizer, and Reverb. Then, as you can see, be the end result (Without any Mastering process).
On that occasion, I recorded a video of my face with my cellphone camera, which turned out to be completely full of storage memory. As you can see, this was taken before the song finished, but my phone camera was turned off first.

I took the original song and I just extracted the music using the Acoustica software, then I put it into DAW FL Studio 20 and I recorded it with this application. I edited this song according to the original music, including the fade out.
The original singer of this song is Bob Rezal (died in 2003), He is from my city (Lhokseumawe) but He migrated to Malaysia in 1984 and He became a successful singer in that country. I really idolize him, I memorize almost all of his songs.
Regarding the open mic theme this time, "Intransigente Evolucion / Intransigent Evolution", it really suits my taste, because I prefer songs that were produced in 1980-1990 even though I was born in 1984.
The song Elegi Rindu, produced by AMI RECORD MALAYSIA in 1987, tells the story of a person's longing for their partner. Every night that person always imagines the face of his partner and remembers the memories that used to be done with his partner.
