Is that all you’ve got, Jesus?

As Gospel of Luke 19:28–44 unfolds, the crowd celebrates what looks like a victorious moment—palms waving, voices shouting, expectations rising. It’s Palm Sunday, and everything feels like the arrival of power, rescue, and glory.

But Jesus doesn’t meet their expectations—He rewrites them.

In this episode, we wrestle with a question many of us carry: What happens when Jesus doesn’t show up the way we thought He would? From a humble donkey to tears over a city, we see a Savior who refuses to fit into our limited vision of victory.

This isn’t weakness. This is a different kind of King.

New wine stretches. It presses. It feels risky. When God’s Kingdom shows up, it won’t fit inside your safe routines, your polished systems, or your “we’ve always done it this way.”

Main point: When God’s Kingdom comes, drastic and expansive change is necessary.

New Life Philly, if we’re asking for revival, we can’t be scared of discomfort. Growth stretches. New wine needs new wineskins.

Noah needed to Trust and Obey God's Master plan through a very traumatic experience on the ark, and it led to being a representative of God in the recreation. Yet, the Earth still needed one more righteous than Noah to fulfill the earth's groanings: Jesus is the fully righteous God and Man who gives us eternal safety.

"But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded."

Have you been striving for a flashy faith instead of obedience rooted in God’s love for you?

**Do you find yourself listening to God’s voice more than you find yourself acting on your own impulses?

Father, As you bring heaven to earth, May I be obedient to your plan each and every day by presenting my body as a living sacrifice to present you with true and honest worship.

Jesus, I desire to be a part of your grace and mercy in this world. Teach me to listen to your voice and wait patiently for what’s best.

Holy Spirit, help me to trust you when I am filled with unbelief and can’t see you working in my life. Help me to be aware of your faithful love and timely intervention this week.**

When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, His tempting centered on one main thing: Identity. This is a core struggle for the average person and in Jesus' case, Satan focused on 3 main ways we can root our identity in rather than rooting our identity in being children of God.

Do Something, Be Someone, Own Something. Just like Jesus we struggle with our desire to fulfill our worldly identity on our terms when we should be leaning on our identity in God's eyes.

Pastor Larry talks through the need for emotionally healthy spirituality by explaining how emotionally healthy spirituality saved his life. There's a real difference between what many Christians have been taught about their feelings (to suppress them since Jesus already died for them) and what we find in the pages of scripture. God sent His son to bind up the brokenhearted, to free the captives and bring joy to those in mourning but often we don't feel like any of that has happened. Returning to the story of Jesus, Pastor Tim shows us how this passage in Mark 12 in the parable of the tenants is directed towards leaders and connecting the dots from the passage before it we see that Jesus calls us to look to Him as the final authority and calls leaders to lead under that authority not to create their own controlling or abusive authority. When we struggle with authority, we have to go find more good authority that is under Jesus. We can't go and then create our own authority to live under.
