It would be nice if humanity decided to work together as a team, we would be able to do amazing things together, we might even be able to get humans to other planets if we learned to work together. If we never learn to work together, we will never colonize another planet.
I can barely fathom being able to run our society without fossil fuels if the weather was warm, not cloudy, and no storms all the time. Bring cold, cloudy and stormy weather into the mix I simply can't fathom it happening. I think we should try to be better but it is a weening process.
