According to today's culture, being "woke" is being alert to what one feels is injustice. But we can't be culturally "woke" until we're spiritually "woke" first. Just because we receive salvation and are born again, doesn't mean we're automatically going to be spiritually alive. We have to make a daily choice to wake up -- not just physically but spiritually, too!To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.lightsource.com/donate/1513/29

When we're in the middle of tough times, it's easy for us to fall into the mindset that nobody cares about us or what we're going through. But the Bible tells us that God cares forus, provides forus, meets all ofourneeds and wantsusto be in a personal relationship with Him. He did everything by sending His Son to die for us, just to show that He cares -- it's up to us to believe that He means what He says.To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.lightsource.com/donate/1513/29

Many people walk through life fearing all the "what ifs" that could happen. But when we put our faith in God, we trade our "what ifs" for "what is" -- and what is certain is that God promises to take care of us, provide for all our needs, and work all things for our good, no matter what negative situations come our way.To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.lightsource.com/donate/1513/29

One of the very first statements God made in all of human history can be found in Genesis 2:18, when He declared, "It is not good for man to be alone." He created us for community -- with Himself and with each other. When we do life together with a body of believers, we're able to become accountable to one another and to grow spiritually as God develops us into the people He designed us to be.To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.lightsource.com/donate/1513/29

Have you ever considered that the devil's first interaction with human beings involved planting seeds of doubt about their trust in God? The same tactics the enemy used then are what he uses today. Doubt is a normal human emotion, and it's not a bad thing to question what we believe. But at some point, faith requires us to bring our questions to God and then choose whether to keep doubting or to put our trust in Him.To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.lightsource.com/donate/1513/29

To quote the late Billy Graham, "It's the Holy Spirit's job to convict, God's job to judge, and my job to love." When we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit takes up residence within us and our lives begin to show the evidence of God working in us and through us. When we share the Gospel with other people, we have to trust that God's working in them even when we can't see it and allow the Holy Spirit to convict them and bring them to salvation. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.lightsource.com/donate/1513/29

God made us all inHisimage -- beautifully displayed in a variety of ways, but still members of the same family. Instead of using physical differences as a barrier to connecting with one another, we should recognize that we're all equal in His eyes. It's because of sin that we've allowed our differences to separate us -- and it's because of God's redeeming grace that we can instead celebrate the beauty of His work on display in the humanity He's created. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.lightsource.com/donate/1513/29

If we're not prepared to fight the smaller battles of life, how will we be prepared for the bigger ones that come our way? We only have to look to the example of David in Scripture as someone who faithfully served God throughout his life, perfecting his skills and protecting his sheep from bears and lions and other outside threats. When it came time to face Goliath, David was prepared to slay the giant, because God had equipped him all along with the tools he needed to win the battle. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.lightsource.com/donate/1513/29

God has made a way for us to be in right relationship with Him through His Son.So when we, as His creation, are far from Him, He misses us and calls us back to Himself. It's important for our relationship with Him to be strong and healthy because whether we realize it or not, other people around us are affected by how committed we are to following Him -- and whether we choose to live in obedience or to disobey His direction in our lives. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.lightsource.com/donate/1513/29

As Christians, we're not residents of this world -- we're just passing through. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, our citizenship in Heaven is secured, and this life is just a waiting room until the day we're called home. It's important for us to make the most of our time here by fulfilling God's purpose for our lives, but it's equally important that we keep our eyes fixed on eternity knowing that's where our priorities lie.To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.lightsource.com/donate/1513/29

God said it was not good for man to be alone. So He picked a bone, and out of it He made for Adam a vital, co-laboring harmonious partner: Eve. But because they sinned by eating the forbidden fruit, they hid, they blamed, and were so ashamed of their nakedness that God had to make coverings for them. Something had to die to cover them. Because WE have sinned and fall short of God’s glory, SomeONE had to die to cover us. Thank you Jesus. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.lightsource.com/donate/1513/29

After Jesus was raised from the dead, His disciples ultimately went back to the lives they'd lived before they started following Him. If the people closest to Jesus returned from this break in "normalcy" with a commitment to continue preaching the Gospel and spreading the Good News, it's a good reminder to us, too: even though a break from the norm can sometimes serve as a good reset, it's important not to lose momentum in our discipleship journey even when the day-to-day grind resumes. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.lightsource.com/donate/1513/29

When we hear the term "The Olive Garden", the Garden of the Gethsemane probably isn't the first place that comes to mind. Yet there's perhaps no account in the Bible that more clearly reveals the humanity of Jesus. He prayed for His Father to let the cup pass from Him so that He would not have to die -- but He also prayed that His Father's will be done. "Treat others the way you want to be treated" seems easy enough, as long as those "others" are people we like/agree with/who share our views. But when we have different thoughts and opinions, we're quick to judge and get angry with one another and "cancel" those we don't get along with. God calls us to a standard of perfection, but He also teaches us how to show mercy to ourselves and to others when that standard isn't met.

Jesus taught His disciples that to follow Him is to become fishers of men. And the same holds true for us today! It's easy to forget that God's given us the privilege of sharing the good news of His salvation with others, but if we're truly following Jesus, we'll continually be "catching fish" as we go.To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.lightsource.com/donate/1513/29

God isn't caught off-guard by our questions. In fact, He knows what we're going to ask -- and He has the answer -- before we even ask the question! Part of growing in spiritual maturity is learning to trust that He answers according to His perfect will and timing, not our own. When we seek God wholeheartedly, He reveals Himself to us in a multitude of ways, including through His Word.To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.lightsource.com/donate/1513/29

There's a saying that the BIBLE is "BasicInstructionsBeforeLeavingEarth"! Scripture is filled with advice on how we can live our lives without wishing we "coulda-shoulda-woulda" done it differently. We love to talk about "cancel culture" these days. But when it comes to our spiritual fate, we were born into sin and there's nothing that can cancel our debt to God -- except for Jesus Christ. He died on our behalf and offers to trade our one-way ticket to hell in for a one-way ticket to heaven, but it's up to us to believe and accept His gift of redemption.

When we can't see the poor and the needy all around us, chances are, it's not because they're not there -- it's because we're too distracted to even notice. Our busy schedules, pursuit of earthly success, and love for material possessions can all hinder us from seeing those who God's called us to help, or wanting to share the abundance He's given us. But Scripture teaches us that the Lord will always provide for our every need, and when we give to the poor, it's as if we're giving to God Himself. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.lightsource.com/donate/1513/29
