BOXING TALK EPISODE 15: FRAZER CLARKE MUST LEAVE BOXXER!!This week should have saw the purse bids for the hotly anticipated British Heavyweight Title Fight between, Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke. Only Boxxer's Ben Shalom had other ideas and decided to pull his man, Frazer Clarke from the fight.
This has left a lot of people looking very silly, especially Frazer Clarke who not only is being blamed for the collapse of the fight by some fans, but has missed a massive opportunity to claim an iconic title.
Are Boxxer fit enough to guide the olympic medal winners career?
Welcome to Boxing Talk Episode 14. In this episode I ask, is AJ v Wilder the most exciting fight in the heavyweight division?
With talk of a super card taking place in Dubai in December, which will feature Tyson Fury v Oleksandr Usyk and Deontay Wilder v AJ, Wilder's coach, Malik Scott has hinted and just how exciting Wilder v AJ is!!
However, is it the most exciting fight in the heavyweight divison?
Is Canelo running scared???The Mexican star is looking to rematch his conquerer Dmitry Bivol, but theres a sticking point. Light Heavyweight Champion wants to face Canelo at Super Middleweight, a fight that would see 4 of Canelos championships belts on the line. However, Canelo wants to face Bivol at his natural weight, 175.
In this episode I explain why I feel the fight should be for all the marbles at Super Middleweight.
The Conor Benn doping scandal just won't go away!!
In this podcast I look at the latest developments in the story. Conor Benn has decided to being talks with UKAD and the BBBofC, a position he strongly rejected just a few months earlier. Why?
Benn has also conducted a few interviews which have seen him become very emotional about the whole situation when just weeks earlier he was giving the middle finger to anyone who doubted him!
Tears of a Clown?
No one can beat Father Time!!No one can stop him, the undefeated king of the ring, father time!
As fighters age of deterioration in skills, speed, reactions begins and before they know it they are done. Ali, Tyson, Roy Jones Jr have all tried to defy the inevitable and all have failed BUT Has Super Middleweight King Canelo Alvarez hit that spot?
Following his unanimous decision win over WBO mandatary challenger, John Ryder, many reputable social media accounts are suggesting this is very much the case.
Heres my thoughts on the Mexican star and where he is in his career.
After another fantastic weekend for the sport of boxing, I sit down and review what was an action packed weekend. Firstly, in France, Karlos Takam defies the odds and beats Olympic Gold Medalist Tony Yoka in what will be a huge blow for the French star. Over in Australia Tim Tszyu proves his credentials in a sensational stoppage over former world champion, Tony Harrison. A quite weekend in the UK but we did have cards on Fight Zone and DAZN with Jack Cullen beaten by hotly tipped prospect Diego Pacheco.
In boxing news the Heavyweight Undisputed bout could be on as the Ukrainian world champion, Alexander Usyk bows to Fury's financial demands.
Ryan Garcia exposes the hydration clause thats in place for his hotly anticipated showdown with Tank Davis and Katie Taylors homecoming has been confirmed as she will face Undisputed Champion Chantelle Cameron in the 3 Arena in Dublin.
What a week in the sport of boxing!
Last week, negative news cast a shadow on the sport BUT as always boxing bounces back!
First up is Lewis Ritson v O'Hara Davis in an all British bust up in Newcastle with a world title shot at stake!
Next up, DAZN Mexico delivers again! Fierro v Estela is an absolute war!!
Finally, PBC delivers an action packed card topped with Brandon Figueroa v Mark Magsayo!
In boxing news the Conor Benn story just wont wilt with Conor making some really strong claims about the VADA testing procedure!
Haney v Lomachenko is, apparently, all set for May in a lightweight undisputed clash.
BUT! The big news is Naoya Inoue v Stephen Fulton is all set for May 7th in Japan!
In this episode of The Undisputed Fight Talk Boxing I look back at a fairly quite weekend of boxing action, though there was a couple of gems to be found. I discuss what next for Christopher Lovejoy following his KO loss in a 3 round exhibition bout, Conor Butler and Craig Derbyshire leave it all in the ring in an enthralling battle for the Commonwealth Flyweight Crown and Subriel Matius v Jeremias Ponce live up to every inch of their expectations.
In boxing news one story has dominated this week as the WBC seemingly clear Conor Benn following his two failed drug tests, but is all as it seems?
In better news, the hotly anticipated clash between Gervonta 'Tank' Davis and Ryan Garcia is officially ON!
Another exhilarating weekend of boxing has come to an end and it's safe to say 2023 is shaping up to be one of the best years for boxing in a long time.
Two fights stood out this weekend and both delivered, firstly, in the UK, Leigh Wood put his WBA title on the line against the hard hitting Mauricio Lara in what would be an instant classic.
Across the pond Luis Nery v Crazy A turned out to be a fight of the year contender. Both men are known for their guts and heart and they showed both in abundance.
In news Deontay Wilder v Andy Ruiz is on the rocks, Tommy Fury v Jake Paul have an added incentive in the form of a WBC ranking and Jack Catterall v Josh Taylor looks dead as both men chase different challenges.
Welcome to Episode 6 of The Undisputed Fight Talk Podcast. This weekend saw Adam Azim face undefeated Nicaraguan Santos Reyes in a fight that would see Azim go the 10 round distance for the first time. Zak Chelli, Viddal Riley and Tyler Denny all impressed on the undercard.
In boxing news, DAZN have announced an imminent price rise much to the frustration of fight fans, but is it all that bad? Anthony Joshua confirms he's fighting for money and the long awaited rematch between Josh Taylor v Jack Catterall looks to be off!
In this episode of The Undisputed Fight Talk podcast boxing has yet again delivered! 2023 has started with a bang and that continued this weekend when Emanuel Navaratte faced off against little known contender Liam Wilson. What happened next, no one could have guessed. From drama on the scales to controversy in the ring, this fight had it all.
In boxing news Joe Joyce v Zhilei Zhang was confirmed much to the excitement of fight fans, Lawrence Okolie and Shane Mcguigan have ended their short but successful partnership and the Conor Benn situation continues to mar the sport.
Another blistering weekend of boxing has come to a close and what weekend it was!
The overwhelming underdog Anthony Yarde faced off against the Russian beat, Artur Beterbiev. What unfolded, no one could have predicted.
Despite an ordinary looking undercard, there was a couple of fights worth the watch as Karol Itauma suffered a shock defeat to Ezequiel Maderna and Artem Dalakian successfully narrowly defends his flyweight crown against the hungry David Jiminez.
In news, we have to talk Jake Paul v Tommy Fury! Is this a genuine fight or celebrity guff? Kell Brook seems to be finding retirement difficult and AJ's comeback is criticised, but is it that bad?
Hot of the back of an amazing night at Manchester Arena, I react to everything that unfolded in an unforgettable night. Liam Smith defies the odds and topples Chris Eubank Jr in a thriller, Joseph Parker looks uninspired in a laboured points win over Jack Massey, Chris Kongo fails in his attempt to dethrone British Champion, Ekow Essuman and Richard Riakpohre puts the Cruiserweight Division on notice with a stunning knockout of Kryzstof Glowacki.
In boxing news we have a number of hotly anticipated bouts being made, Tank v Ryan Garcia looks back on, Joe Joyce v Zhilea Zhang planned for later this year, Steph Fulton ready to defend his straps against unbeaten KO artist Naoya Inoue and Caleb Plant looks to face off against undefeated Mexican, David Benevidez!
A quiet week in 'proper' boxing saw hard hitting heavyweights, Efe Ajagba and Stephen Shaw deliver a snooze fest. However, the biggest noise of the weekend was caused by the Misfits Social Media Fight Card! Is it time boxing took a leaf from the YouTubers book?
Welcome to 2023 and a brand new boxing podcast!
In this episode we look at Tanks stunning stoppage victory over Hector Garcia, Boo Boo Andrade stinks the place out, Ennis is criticised after a dominant win and Rashidi Ellis goes from dead cert to dead hurt.
