Use code “ThoughtBistro” at checkout for 10% off at oatmlk.in 🔥🔥🔥 Let them know we sent you!"OatMlk was founded by the two of us, as we, being victims of lactose intolerance, often enjoyed exploring a wide variety of plant based milks while working abroad. It was easy-going until coming back to India, we had to compromise on our daily nutritional intake that came majorly from oat milk.
Nevertheless, we began sampling the world of soy, almond and coconut milk. No matter what, nothing compared with the creamy texture of oat milk, making almost everything super delicious! (Jackpot if found in earthy coffees), Being novice cooks, we began sampling oat milk at home, which was good, but not yet perfect. It lacked the essence of premium oat milk from the UK. So finally, a hundred and sixty two experiments and a year later, the perfect blend was discovered. And from here on began our passionate journey to share the new found happiness with the whole of India, bringing in, in the process, OatMlk into existence." - Akash Wadhwani & Rishabh Gupta (co-founders OatMlk)

Dipan Pal is the founder of Voaige, a deep tech startup that is making robots smarter and more versatile than ever before. He has a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, where he learned how to make robots see, hear and think like humans. He is inspired by neuroscience and has written several papers on topics such as brain-like algorithms, random signals and fuzzy logic. He has also interned at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre and Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where he probably met some cool robots. He is currently based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States, where he is busy creating robots that can do anything from picking tomatoes to defusing bombs. Did you know that the word ‘robot’ comes from a Czech word that means ‘forced labor’? Well, Dipan’s robots are not forced to do anything. They are happy to help humans with their tasks and learn new skills along the way (Kinda like Chat GPT but physical). Dipan is a visionary leader who wants to make the world a better place with his robotic innovations. He is also a fan of Leonardo da Vinci, who designed the first humanoid robot in 1495. How cool is that?

"Upon my return to my home country in 2019, I was astounded by the struggles that Namibian youth were facing. Having personally endured similar challenges in my own life, I recognized that I possessed the education and skills necessary to make a difference. Initially, I had planned to provide resume and cover letter writing services, but it quickly became apparent that these services were beyond the financial reach of many young Namibians. Despite this setback, I remained undaunted and decided to use my own resources to establish The AC, an organization committed to assisting young Namibians as they transition into the workforce. Even in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic and high unemployment rates, our unwavering dedication to our mission has never faltered. We urge you to lend your support and help us create a positive impact by transforming the lives of Namibian youth." David Immanuel

In this episode, we speak to the young evangelists of Native Digital, Miguel Casanovas and Davide Biondi, who are using blockchain technology to give a unique identity to inanimate things. The use of blockchain technology has been gaining traction in a variety of industries, and Native Digital's approach is unique in that it seeks to give identity to non-living things. We talk to the founders about their thought process behind the product and their views on the blockchain space as a whole. Blockchain technology has been making waves across a variety of industries due to its ability to provide transparency, security and decentralization. Native Digital's approach is unique in that they are using blockchain technology to give identity to inanimate things. This approach has the potential to revolutionize industries such as supply chain management and asset tracking.
The idea of giving identity to inanimate things using blockchain technology is not new. In fact, it has been explored in the past by several companies. However, Native Digital's approach is unique in that they are using a combination of blockchain technology and quantum teleportation to provide even greater security and decentralization. Overall, our conversation with them provided valuable insights into the potential uses and limitations of blockchain technology, as well as the innovative ways in which it can be combined with other technologies to create new solutions. It will be interesting to see how their approach develops and how it will impact industries in the future.

In this podcast, we will explore Simon Sinek's philosophies and how they apply to love, life, leadership, and finding silver linings. Simon Sinek is a renowned author, motivational speaker, and marketing consultant who has inspired millions of people with his ideas. His TED Talk based on "Start With Why" is the third most popular TED video of all time. Sinek believes that people and organizations that focus on the "why" behind their actions, rather than the "what" or the "how," are more innovative, influential, and profitable than others.
One of Sinek's most popular ideas is "The Golden Circle," which provides a framework for building organizations, leading movements, and inspiring people. The Golden Circle consists of three concentric circles: Why, How, and What. Most organizations and individuals start with the "what" and then move on to the "how" and the "why." However, Sinek argues that the most successful and influential leaders start with the "why" and then move on to the "how" and the "what." By starting with the "why," they are able to create a sense of purpose and meaning that inspires others to follow them.
Sinek's ideas have been widely adopted by businesses, non-profits, and individuals around the world. One of the key benefits of starting with the "why" is that it creates a sense of purpose and meaning that motivates people to take action. When people understand the "why" behind their actions, they are more committed, more engaged, and more productive.
Simon Sinek's philosophies have had a profound impact on the way we think about leadership, motivation, and success. By starting with the "why," we can create a sense of purpose and meaning that inspires others to follow us. While there are some criticisms of Sinek's ideas, they have been widely adopted and have helped millions of people achieve their goals. Whether you are a business leader, a non-profit manager, or an individual looking to make a difference, Simon Sinek's ideas can help you find your "why" and inspire others to join you on your journey.

In this episode of "The Thought Bistro", we take a deep dive into the story of Credit Suisse, the Swiss banking giant that was once a symbol of stability and innovation, but now faces extinction after a series of scandals, losses and management failures. We trace the origins of Credit Suisse back to 1856, when it was founded by Alfred Escher to fund the development of Switzerland's rail system and industrialization. We examine how the bank expanded its global presence and diversified its businesses over the years, acquiring rivals such as First Boston, Bank Leu, Volksbank and DLJ. We also explore how the bank survived the 2008 financial crisis without needing a state bailout, unlike its competitor UBS.
However, we also reveal how Credit Suisse's aggressive culture, poor risk management and fudged decision-making led to its downfall. We analyse how the bank was involved in multiple international investigations for tax avoidance, money laundering and fraud, resulting in billions of dollars in fines and settlements. We discuss how the bank suffered huge losses from its exposure to the collapse of Archegos Capital Management, a New York-based investment group that defaulted on its margin calls. We investigate how the bank's reputation and financial strength were further eroded by its ties to Greensill Capital, a UK-based supply chain finance company that went bankrupt amid allegations of fraud and mismanagement.
Finally, we explain how Credit Suisse's demise culminated in a forced merger with UBS, its arch rival and Switzerland's largest bank, in a deal orchestrated by Swiss regulators to prevent a systemic crisis. We examine how the merger wiped out most of the value of Credit Suisse's shareholders and bondholders, sparking outrage and lawsuits from investors who accused Switzerland of acting like a "banana republic". We also consider how the merger will affect Switzerland's banking sector and its reputation as a global financial center. We ask whether Credit Suisse's brand name will survive or disappear after 166 years of banking history.
