For years I remained in an echo chamber, only reading those who approved my position. How foolish was I all those years! In this episode I chronicle my discovery of authors from the opposing position and also zoom in on one particular issue I found appealing!

Today’s short episode is a look behind the scenes of what I am beginning to study deeper than I have before. What is dispensationalism? What about Covenantalism? These can seem like big theological words reserved for scholars, but as I have come to find out, there are great benefits to studying both perspectives within the Bible. Be blessed! In a time of repentance, it felt as if I put myself in a slump. Repentance must be a part of the believer’s life. We must do so regularly. This is the introduction to my passion project. Writing a book is very time consuming, but when I started reading 1 Peter I could not stop. The burden behind the book is that men need hope. Good news! We, as Christian men have hope! A sure and living hope. Will you join with me in reading 1 Peter? What a blessing Peter has been to me.

A prayer for every day! We need Jesus continually. This prayer will lift your soul and strengthen your feeble legs.
Our salvation is present. We have been saved, are being saved, and will one day be saved. Let us pray that we would live in light of our very present salvation.
What do we do when we feel guilt and shameful as a result of our inconsistent bible reading habits? “Do I read enough? Do I study deep enough? Does God’s view of me change based on how profitable my time in the Word is?” These questions can plague us. What if we know somebody and some body that can help us? In this episode we talk about bringing the guilt and shame that comes with a inconsistent bible reading to the Lord.
Choices, choices, we all make choices. Let us continue to pray that we would make godly choices, but let’s depend on the inward work of the Spirit to put to death the flesh and make us holy.
