We're Back! I was taking a break from recording and really processing some big life transitions these past months but I am excited to be back and sharing with you all again.

In this inspiring episode, we explore the transformative concept of feeling fear and doing it anyway. Facing our fears is crucial for personal growth and living a fulfilling life. Here are some reasons why it is important to face our fears:

Overcoming limitations: Fear often creates self-imposed limitations that hold us back from reaching our full potential. By facing our fears, we challenge these limitations and open ourselves up to new opportunities and experiences.

Building resilience: Confronting our fears builds resilience and mental strength. When we face our fears, we develop the ability to cope with difficult situations and bounce back from setbacks. This resilience is essential for navigating the ups and downs of life.

Expanding our comfort zone: Fear keeps us within our comfort zone, but growth happens outside of it. By facing our fears, we expand our comfort zone and become more comfortable with discomfort. This enables us to take on new challenges and embrace personal and professional growth.

Gaining confidence: Each time we face and overcome a fear, our confidence grows. By proving to ourselves that we can handle difficult situations, we develop a sense of self-assurance that permeates all areas of our lives. This newfound confidence empowers us to take on bigger challenges and pursue our dreams.

Discovering hidden potential: Many fears are rooted in the unknown or a lack of self-belief. By facing our fears, we unveil our hidden potential and realize that we are capable of far more than we initially thought. This process of self-discovery can lead to profound personal transformation.

Expanding life experiences: Fear often prevents us from trying new things and exploring different aspects of life. By facing our fears, we open ourselves up to a wider range of experiences, which can enrich our lives, broaden our perspectives, and create lasting memories.

Overcoming regret: Regret often stems from not taking action due to fear. By facing our fears and taking calculated risks, we reduce the likelihood of future regret. Even if things don't go as planned, we can take solace in the fact that we had the courage to try.

Ultimately, facing our fears allows us to break free from the constraints that hold us back and embark on a journey of self-discovery, growth, and personal fulfillment. It is through confronting our fears that we truly unlock our potential and create a life that aligns with our dreams and aspirations.

Grief reminds us of the uncertainty life carries, it gets us to rethink everything we care about, to re-prioritize where we put our focus, who we talk to, and what we end up doing with our lives. Our temporary existence is somewhat reminded of us. What are we going to do with each day? Each hour? Each minute?

Grief is painful. Grief is heavy. Losing someone you love is probably one of the most if not hardest things we have to experience in this human life. This week I tell you my tips for navigating grief, the right (and wrong) things to say to someone who is grieving, my experience with grief & more. If you are experiencing grief right now you are not alone. I hope this episode resonates.

I love you all. Thank you for tuning in this week. If you ever need someone to talk to I am here.

My 5 tips for navigating grief:

  1. Let yourself FEEL, cry, sleep, scream, write, and shake. Things will trigger you, let yourself feel whatever comes up whenever it comes up, set a timer to allow yourself time to cry, and then when the timer goes off return to your day. Do this as many times as you need to until the energy dissipates.
  2. Talk to a therapist weekly or more if needed, and have someone who is trained on how to navigate grief, and who can help hold space for you.
  3. Celebrate the person, identity, or animal you are grieving, remember the beautiful memories, and feelings, honor the person, and have a celebration of life to honor this time.
  4. Find something to believe in after death, god, spirit, source, or ANYTHING that feels good to you.
  5. Talk about it, find a grief group, talk to friends, be vulnerable with those you feel safe with, express what is coming up for you, and let people know what feels good and doesn’t everyone is just trying to navigate it.

Hi, soul fam!

This week I'm reflecting back on a crazy, wonderful, powerful year.

Join me as I unpack this year and what I have learned:

  • Things always get better. Over time and as we age, life shapeshifts and transforms. We will never stay the same.
  • Putting in the work does pay off. Maybe not instantaneously but eventually. Watering the seeds is just as important as planting them. Finally, you will have a garden of beautiful plants and flowers and beautiful butterflies and bees that help create the ecosystem that is your life
  • Beating yourself up won’t solve anything. Being a bully to yourself only slows down your progress forward. Better to be kind and be on your own team than against yourself.
  • No one is ever doing as well as they appear to be online. Social media is a highlight reel and that is just fine. But you must remind yourself it is just one slice of the pie, not the whole thing.
  • Challenge grows resiliency, do not fear it, appreciate it and what it teaches you.
  • We may never understand our existence in this lifetime but that proves that our task is not to understand it but to live it.
  • Having embodiment practices will help you to feel god/source/connection more consistently.
  • Perfection breeds unfulfillment, it doesn’t exist.
  • You don’t have to think about who you want to be, you just have to work on being it, showing up as it is, and being more present.

Thank you for helping me continue to make this dream a reality. appreciate all of you so much <3

Hi soul family,

This week's episode is a morning affirmation track.

Affirmations are statements that help you focus on what you want to feel, create & see in your life. By becoming present and focusing our mind on what we want to feel we take back our power for the day. Affirmations help us to consciously align with what we would like our lives to feel and look like.

  • Listen to this first thing every morning to shift your focus and manifest the day you desire!
  • You can listen lying down, sitting, or gazing in front of a mirror.

Don't worry about believing the statements fully at first. It is normal for us to have doubts and feel unaligned with what we want to experience at times. Especially if you have been operating from a negative headspace. With practice and intention, my hope is that these affirmations help you feel a little more positive and confident in your day.

Share this track with a friend & subscribe to the podcast on whatever platform you are tuning in from :)

Hi friends!

This week I had the pleasure of chatting with Lilly Terry and getting to know her story. Lilly is a holistic health coach, fellow podcast host, and women's empowerment facilitator. She is a multi-talented and creative individual and I am so excited to share her story and this episode with you all. She is also the host of the Home to Self Podcast which you can check out after this episode!

In this episode, we talk about meditation, self-development, relationship tips, and more!

The key takeaways from this episode for me were:

  • The importance of being still in times of chaos or stress.
  • Our bodies and intuition always know the answer, we just need to give them space to tell us.
  • We can experience the feelings we want to manifest right now at this moment.
  • The most important tool for healing comes from emotional intelligence and learning to trust your intuition.
  • We carry wisdom in our soul, body, and mind that we often don't credit ourselves for.
  • Healthy relationships involve having your own sense of self and space. Taking space for yourself and holding boundaries is key to a healthy relationship.
  • Starting a project is never easy but there is really no time like the present.

Hi friends,

This week I'm talking about the 4 main phases we go through as humans. Some compare it to the phases of a butterfly thus..." metamorphosis "

1)Dissolving (Chaos, questioning identity, loss, existential crisis)

2)Imagining (Daydreaming, creative ideas, re-creating self)

3)Reforming (Planning, divine action, stepping into highest path)

4)Flying (Enjoying the fruits of your labor, gratitude, celebration, highest self activated)

By understanding the phase we are currently experiencing we can better understand ourselves and how to navigate through them. Learning about these phases and understanding the cycles we go through as humans transformed my life and perspective.

I hope you guys enjoy this week's episode!

Hi beautiful friends!

I am so happy to be back with a new episode. This week we are diving into The 6 Human Needs which is something I learned from Tony Robbins (a big mentor in my self-development). The 6 Human Needs are...Certainty, Growth, Contribution, Significance, Love(connection), and Variety(Uncertainty).

We meet our needs in unhealthy and healthy ways. Most of us aren't even conscious of the negative ways we are meeting these ways. All it takes is an awareness and a willingness to shift!

Learning this tool and activity shifted my whole world. It shifted the way I view other people and myself. It allowed me to understand the motives behind people's actions and my own habits. It transformed my perspective and allowed me to have more compassion for the world and myself. I sincerely hope it does the same for you :)

Here is the activity I recommend trying in your journal:

1) Organize the human needs in order of importance to you 1-6 (be honest)

2) Organize the top 3 that are most important in your life (think about the big choices in your timeline and what motivated them)

3) Write down the unhealthy ways you've met these 3 needs in the past (without judgment)

4) Write down new healthy ways you can meet these needs moving forward

5) Reflect and integrate <3

(credit goes out to Tony Robbins and the Tony Robbins Foundation 6 Human Needs)

Here are the rest of the journal prompts diving deeper into your WHY:

-what does my dream ideal life look like?

-who is around me?

-what am I wearing?

-how do I feel?

-How do I speak to myself and others?

-what do I do in the mornings before I work etc. how do I prioritize the things that feel good to me?

-what is my perspective on challenge and failure?

Thank you for supporting and tuning in this week, peace and blessings :)

Hi, beautiful beings,  This week I speak on the idea that we must work hard to succeed. I challenge us all to rethink our agreement on this concept and instead open our perspectives.  What if we worked more consciously with intention and discipline. What if our goals and dreams could be pulled by beautiful energy of trust and excitement rather than fear and doubt. What if the word "hard" no longer needs to exist in our vocabulary.  Thanks for tuning in this week!  If you resonate with this idea please share this episode with someone who would benefit and as always support the podcast via IG @lifebeneaththeshallows and my personal page is @naia.litman  Peace & Love Naia

Indecision sucks.

If you are like me and have a hard time making those tough decisions (or even the small ones) from where to eat, to what you want to do in your career, than this episode is for you!

We can't predict what is going to happen all of the time. Life is unpredictable and ever-changing. We CAN however learn how to be quick with our decision-making and trust our gut and intuition. Making decisions from a resourced place will help you to learn faster and gain more confidence in your ability to be the driver in your life.

By deciding we allow ourselves to move forward in some way and learn what we feel aligned with and what we don't. We can't just think our way through life we must actually LIVE it to know.

This episode covers my thoughts on this topic as well as 3 simple ways to monitor your decision-making and come from a more resourced place.

Have an amazing week and don't forget to follow the Instagram @lifebeneaththeshallows!

We've all probably heard of this idea that life is happening in the "present moment". To live more in the present and to live in the here and now is to live beyond the egoic mind and enjoy the simplicity around us.

I feel like over time it becomes challenging to actually achieve this idea in reality. In this episode, I break down my opinions and perceptions of what it means to actually live in the present. I talk about how we can allow the past and future to stand on their own without letting them have control over our present experience.

Our past and future have beautiful gifts that we can receive. And still, it is so important to realize we are constantly evolving in the present moment. In order to enjoy our lives there needs to be this remembrance of what is current instead of trying to assume what the future will be like or how our past is going to define our present.

I hope you liked this week's mini-episode! Have an amazing weekend.

Hi, soul fam!

Lately, I've been having a hard time with depression and having a hard time emotionally. I have experienced depression and depressive episodes in the past and I wanted to show what has helped me through those tough times.

My reason for starting this podcast was to be open and vulnerable with where I am in hopes to relate and help others going through something similar. In this episode, I talk all about depression, what it is, what it feels like, and how to help treat it and manage it! I also include some suggestions from my followers and I found so much insight personally from their responses.

I hope you enjoy this week's episode and find value in it. I linked some resources for any of you struggling with depression down below. You are NOT alone and there is support out there for you. Please reach out for help when you need it and remember this too shall pass.

Hi friends!

Uncertainty is a part of life and our first reaction to it is usually to run from it rather than embrace its presence. In this week's episode, we talk about what uncertainty is, why we as humans run away from it, and how to navigate and empower ourselves to handle uncertainty.

I hope you enjoy this week's episode.

Here are some of the resources I speak about in regards to navigating uncertainty:

How can you manage and handle Uncertainty when it arises?

  1. Take back control of who is running the show, meditate, before making a decision connect within and come from a centered place. If you don’t know what to do then give yourself space to ground back to the moment before you decide.
  2. Do what you CAN do and what IS in your control
  3. Affirmations when you’re feeling anxious: I am safe, I am protected, everything is working out for my highest good, I am exactly where I need to be right now, life is happening for me, not to me, I am surrounded in light and protection, I trust in my higher power to guide and protect me in uncertain times.
  4. Avoid consuming content of negativity, fear, despair, and replace it with positive podcasts, videos, and music that leaves you feeling good!

Trust and Faith are the practice of letting go and surrendering to something bigger than your ego. Starting a spiritual practice where you are building a relationship with your god/source/creator/energy is most likely to give you that feeling of peace and acceptance. It comes from making time for the things that make you feel connected and in touch with your spirituality that lives within all of us.

Hi, I hate to break the news to you if you didn't know already.... but social media is addictive. Chances are you likely suffer from being addicted to some form of social media whether you are aware of it or not. I know that I personally struggle with finding balance around my usage. My goal with this episode is to get us all to think a bit more about our phone usage and how we can be more conscientious. I doubt that technology/social media is going away any time soon and so we might as well learn to set healthy boundaries and create balance with it in our lives. Social media is incredible in the ways it allows us to express and connect however it can have some pretty negative effects on its usage and my hope for all of you is that you implement some boundaries around it so that you can live a happy balanced life! Hi, soul fam:

This week's episode is all about manifestation and how our thoughts and beliefs have the power to influence our entire reality. I talk about my tips for manifestation and the challenges that can get in the way of manifesting the life you desire. Manifestation is simply focusing on what you want to receive from the universe/god/source/whomever you believe in. It is realizing that you have the power to attract and create the reality you are living.

As always I would love to hear your thoughts on the podcast so feel free to reach out to me @lifebeneaththeshallows on Instagram. Subscribe, share, and like this podcast if you resonate with this topic. Respond to my question below and let me know what you've manifested before I would love to hear!

You are truly amazing and powerful! Don't let intrusive thoughts be the pilot of your life you deserve to be happy and fulfilled. Journal, meditate and set intentions for the New Year and START NOW! Have a wonderful holiday season and I will see you in the New Year!

We all want more time and more balance in our lives.

This week's episode is all about balance and why I find it to be so important in living a fulfilling life. Balance is not something you find, it is cultivated and created through small habits and routines. I truly believe in prioritizing your self-care and the things that light you up inside. I feel that by living this way we are able to help ourselves and in return help others!

In this episode, I talk about the routine/rituals that have helped me personally to restore balance to my life.

You can't give from an empty cup, that is why I feel it is very vital to cultivate balance in your lifestyle.

If you are someone who uses the excuse "I don't have time" then this episode might be helpful! I too, often think I don't have time for the things that matter to me but I realized that I do I just have to make it a priority in my day-to-day life.

Have an amazing weekend and let me know what you think of this episode: @lifebeneaththeshallows on Instagram!

I used to be the person who could never stand to be alone, I would distract myself from whatever I was going through and always wanted to be doing something to keep my mind busy. Learning to be okay alone showed me so many amazing lessons. I've learned to LOVE my alone time and prioritize it. It allowed me to form my own opinions and perspectives on the world and really re-discover my values without the outside world's influence.

In this week's episode, I talk about the benefits of spending more time alone with yourself and how it can improve self-worth, self-discovery, and aid in your self-development.

Let go of distractions and other energies that are clouding your path. Learning to love my alone time helped me to establish a better relationship with myself and learn what was really important to me. I hope you enjoy it!
