Good start, flooded trails, big heat, scenic roads and alot of traffic due to a Kevin Costner movie being filmed where I was cycling past.

Made it to Moab, lovely place, badly need of some TLC and taking another day off here to recoup the body.

Big birthday day today for me, big day on the saddle, all down hill for 128km. Nice engagements with strangers, lots of closed bike paths due to melting snow and making it to Gleenwood Springs, thanks for all the support so far!

Nice day, from Idaho Springs to Dillon. All up hill, nice engagements with strangers first but now friends. Getting over the continental divide which is 3’660metres above sea level. Thin air, cold but rewarding.

Days off, catching up with the Stanton family. Got introduced to disc golf, pickle ball and went to a soft ball game. Got the bike fixed up, met up with two friends whom I meet along my travels over the years. And speak about the journey ahead through the Rocky mountains.

Also spoke to my cousins Marty and Jennifer Stanton whom hosted me in Centennial. Talk about life, favourite moments in life and thanked them for the hospitality.

Leaving the lovely Limon and the Bontrager family, heavy legs, Colorado has aggressive speedy drivers. Plenty of breaks, and a good shower of rain, loads of moths around and arriving in Centennial to my relations house.

Massive day of milage, Downs to Colby.On Highway 24 for the most of the day, gradual hills, flash showers, a nap, and nice encounter with a stanger in Hoxie, cycling in the dark, a lightening show. Woke up by the storm and rain, got up and had a big breakfast with the locals. Some hills ahead with the wrong extra warm outfit, headed west on the road and two cars nearly crashed into me, very close call. Fine houses along the way belonging to the Amish people.Slow puncture on the bridge and all my stuff got into the river, very stressful. Got to a petrol station and got all the food and drink I could have, starved. Lovely help offer over the phone by Noreen, so nice! Got to the Warmshowers hosts, lovely couple who cycled around the world. Down to the last tube, after two tubes got punctured, what a relief.

Was on a bike trail for a long time, no hills or pushing the bike, wish all of USA was like that!Some barns made of wood and with stars on them, some blue and gold ones, must find out what they mean. Arrived at Toledo fine, struck by heavy traffic and had to cycle on the footpath.Interview with Warmshowers hosts Howard and Sarah, so lovely and generous.
