Today we're taking a slight pivot from the Negro Leagues. This past Monday, my friends Scott Happ and Wayne Turner joined me in sharing memories of the Immaculate Reception. Tha plan was, and still is to release the video today, the 50th anniversary of the legendary play. On Wednesday, we got the sad news of the passing of the Great Franco Harris, the man who scored the touchdown. For five straight years, the Oakland Raiders and Pittsburgh Steelers faced off in the NFL Post Season. The Steelers won three of those games, the Raiders two. Even though Franco’s Steelers made a habit of breaking our hearts, this old Oakland Raider fan has fond memories of Franco in those great battles. In fact, I‘ll bet the first two guys that greeted Franco when he got to Heaven were John Madden and Jack Tatum
