Grace City Youth
We exist to lead students into a life-giving relationship with Jesus, so they can live the best life possible. This is the very life that Jesus came to bring - not one filled with rules & religion, but one filled with the grace, joy, and love of God. This life however can only be established and built on the TRUTH of God’s Word. As we begin to build our lives on the foundation of God’s truth, it doesn’t matter what we may face or come against, we will not only come out better and stronger on the other side, but we will be empowered to lead others into the life He came to bring as well.
At the end of our summer months centered around how we "go out" into the world, this three-week series on evangelism is a great evangelical overview on the importance of sharing our faith. We will dive into the need for evangelism and equip students to go into their schools and friend groups with confidence and on mission!
The entirety of our faith is built on Jesus Christ, our solid rock, our firm foundation - our cornerstone. In this four-week series, we explore Scripture's descriptions of Christ as our cornerstone: the firm foundation that saves us, that we trust in, that gives us a new identity, and that gives us a home in the family of God.

Tonight we are taking a moment pause from our regularly scheduled programming to have a conversation on the importance of creating a culture of HONOR in every aspect of life. To make HONORING God, His PEOPLE, and His HOUSE one of our highest priorities and pursuits.
How do we live courageously in a culture where people who shout the loudest win the argument? How do we live out our faith during a time Where enisialvis openly being remade to blend more comfortably into a secularized culture? How do we as followers of Jesus take a stand, in the midst of Culture that is forcing us to take a seal "We Must first establish the standard that our life & faith is built on - The Word of God. From here: We siand on it no matter what situation we face, and When the pressure to conform and compromise comes we choose to stand our ground and not back down. This week we talk Why its so important to stand up for what's right We also will talk about how when you realize that God's Way is BETTER than anything that culture has to say- you Will gain all the more confidence to stand your ground and not back down!

This week we talk about how one of the most famous stories in scripture of what happens when we choose to take a stand against the pressure of culture to bow down AND we'll talk about WHERE GOD IS in the midst of our stance.

Our world is falling asleep to the things of God, primarily his Word and the reality of it. Because of that, those in our world, our students especially, are suffering because of it. Scripture warns us about the danger of being spiritually asleep. When we fall asleep spiritually, we are more prone to fall into sin, deception, and darkness without even realizing it. God is calling this generation to wake up and rise up to place God back on the throne in their lives, submit to his way of life, and bring about the greatest revival and reform this world has ever seen. One that our world so desperately needs. But before that can happen, his people have to wake up. This week we talk about how even though we can't escape the world, we don't have to walk in the way of the world. However, we must wake up to a new way of life - the Way of his Word.

The goal of a Father is to mark out the Path for their child to take AND then model what it looks like to walk it. However, in this age of fatherless, other “cultural’ fathers are taking their place, and it’s leading to our student’s living a life filled will depression, darkness, deception and defeat. This was not God’s design or ideal. The scary news, is while we will ALWAYS be formed into the image of our Father - we get to choose who that Father will be. The ONE word Jesus used to describe God more than anything else is that same word — Father. God’s desire has ALWAYS been for us to leave our cultural and earthly fathers, to join Him and choose HIM to be the one to Father us and lead us into the life he has. In order to do that, though, we must repent from any direction we are running that isn’t toward him, and run back to God ready to not just Follow him, but be Fathered by Him. This week we are talking all about second MAIN traps we fall into on this journey of Faith — The Way of a Prideful. Let’s Dive in.

On this journey of faith, other than your personal relationship with Jesus, the friendships and relationships you have with the people around you are the most important thing for you to focus on. In this life “You need a faith of your own, but you can’t do faith alone.” Once you have found a faith of your own, the next step is to begin to find friends to go on this journey of faith with. This is so important because NOTHING else affects our faith, our feelings, and even our future more than our friends. So the question is what type of friends should I be looking for — or better question — what type of friend should I become to those around me on my journey of faith? Well over the course of this conversation we are going to be talking about the THREE TYPES of friends we all need in our life, and how we can actually become these type friends to the people around us. This week we are talking about the third friend we all need — “The Truth-Teller.”

This week we are talking about the second friend we all need — “The Encourager.”

Believe it or not, we are living in the middle of a Zombie Apocalypse. Our world is overrun with a virus that is killing people from the inside out, and every day we see and interact with very real people who are walking around doing life who LOOK alive, but really, they are just walking dead. During this conversation we will look at some of the most basic characteristics of zombies and we’ll realize that many of us are more like zombies than we care to talk about. We’re going to talk about what this virus is that is killing so many people, the vaccine that we all need in order to protect us from becoming a part of the walking dead, and what all we can do in the meantime to survive this ongoing apocalypse. Because of the pain and pressure, our most natural tendency is wanting to ESCAPE. Unfortunately, we ESCAPE to many different things - drinking, vaping, pornography, masturbation, sex, smoking weed, and other even other more dangerous drugs. If you aren't careful, the things we ESCAPE to, will become the thing that INSLAVES you. The good news is God offers a way to ESCAPE! But it may not be what you're thinking it is! The Church. To some it is just another extracurricular activity they participate in on a Wednesday Night. To other’s it's a place they are drug to by their parents on a Sunday Morning. And to others it is one of the last places they would ever want to be caught dead in. So why do even have it, let alone go to it every week? What is the point? Our Bibles provide us with many metaphors of the church to help us try to gain a better understanding of it. It’s described as the Bride of Christ, God’s Field, God’s Temple, but at the end of the day what the heck does any of that mean and why should it matter to us? Is it really necessary to attend and engage with the church each week? Well during this conversation, we will be providing some updated metaphors for the Church to help all of us get a better understanding, not just of what the church is, but why is one the GREATEST things to invest your time, energy, and resources into AND how it is one of the greatest “extracurricular” activities you could ever be a part of. In life, we all mess up, we all sink inward and make selfish decisions that hurt ourselves, our family, and our friends. We fall back into those sin patterns that are so hard to refrain from, but there's good news. Jesus died so we can receive forgiveness, we can encounter His presence, and we can push forward outward to Him in worship! Jesus died so we can get back up when we fall down. When we fall, it's not permanent because of Jesus, we just have to get back up.

It is time to silence the noise and tune in to the voice of God that’s all around us, but with all the voices that are out there today how can we actually know that the voice we are hearing is God’s. How do we actually live at peace with people who look, act, talk, and believe differently than us? How can we actually live in unity, in the midst of all the diversity? We are living in a FAKE NEWS Generation. Even the sources that we should be able to trust to give us the facts and bring us the truth are no longer credible. On top of that, with the advent of Social Media, anybody and everybody can just post their own opinions, beliefs, or worldviews out there for all to see, only adding to the noise. We are living in a world that is more content with creating their own version of truth than seeking out what truth actually is. So all of this begs the question, who's to say that Christianity is true? Who's to say that what we talk about every week isn't just another fabrication of the truth? That's why CEO's, designers, and marketers will spend millions of dollars each year on advertising alone, with the sole purpose of catching and keeping our attention. That's what's clickbait is - it's any form of content that is created for the sole purpose of catching and keeping your attention. However, this is not just the main tactic of these designers and corporations, it's also the main tactic of our enemy. While the enemy's strategy is to destroy you, he'll start by simply distracting you. What we learn in scripture and in life is that the enemy is constantly trying to bait us with distraction because he knows that if he can keep us distracted, then he can keep us from our destiny. You know what the NUMBER ONE question that everybody wants to know when it comes to walking in sexual integrity? “How Far is Too Far?” Like ok sure, I understand that sex outside of marriage isn’t the best idea, but what about the other stuff? Is it still a sin if we don’t go all the way? How far can I go sexually with my boyfriend/girlfriend until it becomes a sin? These are all VALID questions, but the truth is, God’s Word is very clear on the subject (quite honestly because God knows just how tricky this thing can be.) Well then, how far really is TOO FAR? Our generation is falling asleep to the heartbreaking truths behind the sex industry, and we are growing more and more ignorant to the damage it's causing all those involved.
