In today's 3speak video, I walk you through what Fray 15 looks like, when you play in Tier 2 in Splinterlands.
It's a fray I've had a bit of experience in, and I wanted to show you my four battles this week. They led to 1 loss and 3 wins, and they were all worth having a look at!
Let me know what fray you play in!

It's actually been a few weeks since I last logged into Gods Unchained, and while I remembered the tutorials - things were initially confusing. In fact, I got smashed in a couple of matches before realising I must have stuffed around with my deck last time I loaded the game. I fixed this issue, talking my viewers through the changes - to a lot of cheap mana cards, instead of being overwhelmed with a deck I'd loaded before, where every card was 5+ mana it seemed! And the end result, I was able to get a massive victory, and in doing so, found a new love of the game!
Thanks for joining with me.

Good Afternoon - and welcome to another Splinterchat with LordTimoty - but you can call me Tim.
It has been weeks since my last video - possibly even two months. It's been a real chaotic time of late, but I'm back and would like to share an idea with you which I would like to call, 'THE IDIOTS GUIDE TO WINNING IN BRAWLS'.
``` - And, I suppose a big 'Thank You' to the Immortal Gods family, for letting an IDIOT like me participate in the brawls - because as you'll see, I'm not a strategic mastermind, but rather a 'hit em hard, and knock 'em down' kind of a brawler.
```
In a nutshell, I own 40,000 Card Power - with a strong water attack, and solid line-ups in FIRE and EARTH. My Death and Life Splinters are not amazing, and I try to avoid using those Splinters were possible (and even then, I put all my hope in Captain Katie!).
Here's the strategy: pick some choice rentals.
For me - there's only four cards that will absolutely change my odds of winning every battle.
First up, Is the Sacred Llama Mage - an obvious choice perhaps for his LAST STAND ability - usually, you'd be happy to pick him up for around 25 DEC, unless it's the end of the season. At 19.85 DEC today, he's showing as an absolute bargain.
And of course, if you have the Llama, you need his old mate, Kron the Undying. He's a solid card, and when his attack pops to +5 magic damage with last stand, and he heals himself for +6 health each round - you're going to be a pretty hard target to knock over.
Speaking of knocking over - my most dangerous summoner is Yodin Zaku - I usually play him with Chimney Wallstop - whose Bloodlust skill makes this a combination which will rip through any line-up. While Kron was incredibly cheap at 15 DEC per day, Yodin isn't much more expensive at 22. A bargain really - as if the chance is there, I'll probably play every brawl match with him in my line-up.
And then there's the final piece of the puzzle, the Chain Golem. I quite love this card - largely because of his SHIELD, but also his decent attack and 2 speed in the boots - which for a tank, isn't too bad at all and at a cost of 8 DEC - sometimes less, he's an absolute bargain.
Now, all these prices are current today - and in total, you can see the strategy costs only 70 DEC total for the four cards - and these cards will make you potent. My preferred spot is in BRONZE, but I've also taken these cards into a NOVICE fray and done exceptionally well.
But, you might wonder - why spend 70 DEC on a brawl?
To answer this, I have two points.
Number 1: You're part of a team, everyone should be investing and doing their best to maximise their rewards. That means carrying your weight - and, at a cost of 70 DEC, that's cheap! Especially since you're paid back in GLADIATOR cards.
Number 2: You can take your cards to the ranked battles and absolutely dominate - I'm talking smashing ever opponent to bits - it won't take you long to make your 70 DEC back and then some. There you go - it's not a loss, but an investment into a small profit!
I'll leave you with this warning then, if you come up against me in a brawl - if you don't have these legendary summoners, you'll need to figure out another way to get over the top of their awesomeness!
Thanks for watching, that's all folks!

Thanks for joining me for this 3speak video, the below is roughly what is said - with a few ad libs to the script. I hope you enjoy learning from my mistakes.
Good Afternoon – and welcome to another Splinter Chat – a chance to talk all things Splinterland – coming to you via 3speak.
Today, I want to talk about being dumb – getting excited by a card, but not really grasping that cards, in isolation, are not battle winners.
I want to talk about Valnamor – he’s a water summoner – and honestly, he looks mouth watering delicious.
He’s certainly checking all the boxes, and with a face like that, who wouldn’t want him on their team? I have a couple of magic cards, I thought it’d be an easy win – put him with Djinn Oshannus, throw in a River, maybe even the Venari Wavesmith.
At $650 USD for a single card though, I’ll be blunt, I’ll never own him – but I thought to myself, why not take a rental for a whirl and dominate in the water splinter? It was a little bit cocky, but I learned a valuable lesson.
I actually have a really decent water team that can compete in Silver with the best of ‘em. I was confident with Valnamor that I would elevate. But I didn’t. The reason: renting a level 1 summoner might be OK if your cards aren’t levelled. I do this trick in FIRE, I rent a Level 1 Yodin and off I go. But in Water, it meant by playing the legendary summoner. My cards were becoming useless, and I really got all muddled up in strategy.
Have a look at my go to tank, Diemonshark –
From epic – to a bit of a loser. Look at how his attack fell, and he loses the enrage skill.
Same with the Pelacor, a card which I’ve built up, because he is super useful, at a lower card level, he’s a bit of a dud.
Even playing Djinn Oshannus, a magic card, I thought I might have gotten some traction – but nope, by dropping him down from Level 2 back to Level 1, I actually put myself at a huge disadvantage.
I played Valnamor in a few battles and lost every one of them, my water team is based on melee attack, and so by playing a magic summoner, I really went backwards. In this particularly battle, I put Serpent of Eld as my tank – figuring maybe he’d dodge – but the tank choice aside, I was utterly bamboozled.
I lose this battle, and others – but the lesson stands:
So until next time, I’m going to be focusing on building my deck, and levelling cards – if I keep doing this, I reckon I might finally get to win a battle. Have a super afternoon, and thanks for joining me.

The King of Splinterlands: Chimney Wallstop
There's an awful lot of chatter that the Queen of all the cards is Ms Quora Towershead. In this 3speak, I wonder: could she finally be de-throned?
Hey - welcome to another Splinter Chat with LordTimoty.
It's been a few weeks since my last 3speak, and since then, I have been growing in excitement about Chimney Wallstop.
Ugh; not a Chimney and a Wall.
Chimney Wallstop!
This card is honestly so underrated; in our guild chats, I am the #1 fan of this guy - but he always seems to come in 2nd place to Quora Towershead.
So everyone was were surprised to hear, that Ms Towershead was no match for the Chimney in my recent brawl!
So looking at Chimney, there's a couple of reasons why he's the new king of splinterlands.
He has an amazing attack, with his 5 melee attack, he is going to do some serious damage.
He has a solid defense; 3 armour will stop a big attack from landing, while his 8 health will keep him alive long enough to make his own kills.
He also has the reach ability - this is really key to his success, as he sits in 2nd position, which further gives him longevity.
And perhaps most importantly, the bloodlust skill. This means if he kills an opponent, all his stats will increase.
This is awesome, obviously to increase speed and attack, BUT, it will also increase his armour - which, if it has previously been destroyed, will restore itself to 1.
Now, I do use him with my secret weapon, Mr Yodin Zaku - who, normally I agree, would pair well with archers, however, by giving Chimney the BLAST ability, he puts himself in a position where his mega attack will hurt the off-tank on my opponents team, and gives him twice the chance of activating his bloodlust. It actually often happens that he will kill the tank, and the off-tank on the same hit.
Ok - so you're coming around to this card? Great!
Let me show you my recent Chimeny Wallstop vs Quora battle. It's a good one.
Now, my opponent is not silly. They actually have a good line up.
They play the Mitica Headhunter in the backrow, who will hit first with 4 damage, which will allow his Quora the opponent to come in and complete a double-hit - and, you might imagine, have the chance to take my tank out.
However, I play the chain golem in the tank position. He's one heck of a good card! He has the shield ability, and so absorbs the damage. He also becomes my first hitter, which is key, as it weakens his goblin thief to the point where a hit from Chimney on the Quora tank, will kill the goblin and activate his first bloodlust.
In this battle with no healing, Quora can't regenerate her health - this leaves her as a sitting duck when Chimney approaches her with 6 damage.
In the end, it's a really solid win for Chimney.

Strategy Chat: The Legendary Hydra!
Hello and welcome to another Splinterchat with LordTimoty –
Today, I need to talk to you about one of the most awesome cards I didn’t even know existed a few days back.
I was casually playing some ranked battles – and then, BAM! Out of no where I came up against this card and I instantly went to the market to find it.
(In truth, it took a while, I didn’t think to check out Neutral straight away. I had vs’ed it in an Earth team, so I got stuck there for a while).
OK – so let’s have a closer look at the card. I play in the Silver League, so specifically, I’ll focus on the card being Level 2.
So what makes it so darn attractive?
So – what is it’s perfect pair?
Let’s take a look at a 15 mana battle –
I used the Merdaali Guardian, alongside the Hydra, using the final mana on the Hardy Stonefish.
There were a couple of things going into this strategy. Firstly, I used Kelya Frendal because he gave my cards +1 armour. It borrows from the idea I spoke about with Mycella or Venari – it’s all about getting him that additional hit. The Hardy Stonefish then was there as a blocker. If my opponent did play a sneak card, I wanted him to spend a couple of hits getting through my defense – while I worked on knocking down his tank.
Thanks for joining me today – and I can honestly say, I hope I don’t end up versing too many hydras in the future!

In this video I discuss what I hate: Gladiators. You see, I always seem to come up against unstoppable Gladiators in brawls. I show you two of mine - and wish to one day level the score, with my own Quora Towershead!!
Thanks for joining me, until next week - keep up the battling! LordTimoty

In this video, we will look to exploit the 'Trample' ruleset, which allows your cards to attack, and attack and attack and attack!
It's a beautiful skillset, and I hope you'll enjoy the editing and humour in this video.
Thanks for joining with for a Splinter-Chat, with LordTimoty.
