Rival game here and it should be very entertaining.
We can't forget about Parish vs SOC...SOC won last year by a field goal and this shouldn't be any different.

This year's 2023 track meet was amazing.
We had a kid from Refugio run a 10.22 wow
5A did it's thing.
Denton Ryan had two athletes place 1st and 2nd in the 100 meter and Red Oak won the 4x1 relay.
Duncanville placed 2nd in the 4x1 also in 6A.
It was amazing how fast some of these kids.

Why is that?
I personally feel like players that had to play with less talented teammates understands the game at a different level.
Not saying that you can't get drafted coming from a powerhouse High School, what I'm simply saying is that you don't have to.

Should you go to a powerhouse HS to get recruited?
I personally feels like it depends.
I think that if you go to a school that gets more state recognition, that it will be easier for a player to be seen or noticed but I'm not saying that you won't get noticed at all.
It will be harder getting recruited going to a school that consistently goes 1-9 or 2-8 throughout the year IMO.
It's definitely doable but you will have to have something very different about you. Speed, size, etc...but it can happen.

Peewee vs Rec Football
Is it ok for your child to play rec ball?
Yes, in my opinion. That's your child and if you don't want to put your kid in peewee or select, by all means, put them in rec ball.
People look down on rec ball but your child can still learn the game and learn new skills along the way.
Don't ever let anyone force you into doing something you don't feel comfortable doing.
Rec ball, peewee, it's still kids playing and the object is for them to learn the game.

Who do you consider the best sports program in the DFW?
I personally feel like it's the Allen Eagles.
Allen is consistently good and competitive in every sport.
Great sports tradition also.
I think Argyle is a close 2nd with SLC in 3rd.
Most people are changing the narrative with only talking about football, basketball and track.
It's more sports besides those 3.

I took off about 4 months since the state championship game and that will never happen again.
For all my subscribers, I would like to apologize for letting so much time pass.
It will NOT happen again.

Not a lot of good matchups this weekend but...we still have some pretty good matchups to keep an eye out on.
Mesquite vs Heath will be a good game. I'm rolling with Heath in this one but with Heath's injuries, that could be a problem.
The big game that I'm keeping an eye out for is Mesquite Horn and Rockwall. I think Rockwall wins this matchup but Horn has the players to keep up with Rockwall.
Horn has had a lot of injuries to start the season so I'll be interesting to see how Horn comes into this game.

It's been a lot of chatter on who's the better district between district 5-6A and 11-6A. I personally believe it's district 5-6A.
District 5-6A has the likes of Allen, Prosper, Guyer, Mckinney and Little Elm.
District 11-6A has the likes of Duncanville, Desoto, Cedar Hill, Waxahachie and Mansfield.
