Him and his students do a pop-up drive-in movie theater, a program that also serves to teach youth to "flex their entrepreneurship," as Wes would say. Writer and Producer, Jennifer Varenchik (she/her) of the Tohono O’odham Nation of Arizona sat down with me to talk about her new short film, In Our Own Hands. Jennifer was the winter pitch winner for the Hawaii Film Collective. In four months she produced her short feature with an all Native American crew.
