He desires for us to live in harmony with one another. He wants us to learn how to handle our disgreements and conflicts according to His instruction. Everything starts in the beginning, even temptation. What's clear is being tempted or temptation in itself is not a sin; it is the acting upon the temptation that is the sin. The first people on earth fell into temptation and we, too, are prone to do the same. But GOD provides a way of escape for us. We just need to take it!

In Genesis Chapter 2 we discover that GOD finishes whatever HE starts and HE also provides everything we need. GOD's example of work and rest should be a guide for us. Then, we need not worry because whatever you need GOD has already considered and provided.

Both Moses and Joshua gave farewell addresses to the children of Israel. Their words were to remind and encourage the people to remain with GOD. Their encouragement is still vital today. We need to serve, worship, and revere God above all, and remember to be strong and courageous. God promised never to leave us, but we must be careful to remain with Him.

There are probably many people sitting in churches today who have doubts about who Jesus is. They could be hearing the messages each week but not completely convinced of their validity. Well today's episode shows where one person was so committed to helping another cross that bridge of uncertainty that they wrote two books to support the teachings that had been heard. This should inspire us to help others gain a definitive belief in Jesus.

How does it make you feel when someone does not acknowledge or show appreciation for the act of kindness you've shown? It can be disappointing, right? This episode shows how God is able to strengthen those who come to Him in prayer. Elijah was depleted and wanted to die but once he consumed the bread from heaven he was able to continue the journey. Despite his previous desire and lack of drive, God enabled Elijah to continue speaking for Him. When we are down and feel we can't continue the journey remember to take that burden / problem to God in prayer. Be honest, as was Elijah, and wait for God to give you the strength needed to go forth!

There will be times in life when we are not at our best. We may feel discouraged and even defeated. We can become weakened by fear. We may feel isolated and all alone. When our strength is gone we must feed our spirit with the Word of God! It is the fuel needed to heal and continue the journey.

Are you quiet about your identity in Christ? Does anyone know you belong to God? Are you afraid of what others will think of you because you identity with Christ? God wants us to own our identity and not to be ashamed of it. Jesus said if we are ashamed to acknowledge Him before men, He will be ashamed to own us before His Father. We do not want that. It is time to own your identity.

Every person in the world has an identity. Often we define our identity by the things we think about ourselves or the conditions / circumstances in our lives, or by the current culture. If you are in Christ you have a new life and with this new life comes new associations, especially a new identity. The new identity will not be attained without your participation, though. You must be active in pursuing the new you.

Effective communication begins with listening. It is difficult to understand and follow through with instruction if one has not heard what is expected of them. God wants us to listen to Him and in order to do that we must quiet ourselves so that we can pay attention and obey His command.

Not many of us would marry someone on first sight. We would need to know the person more before diving into a marital relationship. Even more, most of us would not enter into a relationship with someone without choosing them ourselves. Can you imagine your father or mother choosing the person you dated or married? Well, this happened during biblical times and I'm sure it still happens in some cultures. This marriage, we will chat about today, was an authorized union. It was established by God. Did you know that stubbornness is an offense to God? He considers it a sin, especially when we are determined to have our own way instead of submitting to His! God wants us to rid ourselves of a stubborn heart. Holding on to stubbornness will only lead to trouble. Romans 2:5 states, "But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when His righteous judgment will be revealed."

Being courageous requires a deliberate and intentional action or movement on our part especially in the face of pain, difficulty, grief, or danger. It does not mean you will not feel feelings of fear it just says you'll move forward despite them.

Sometimes it is hard for us to rejoice when someone who has hurt us repents. Most likely we want that person to suffer for what he/she has done. But, God wants us to forgive and join in the celebration when someone returns to Him. Envy is another ill that lives in our hearts. When someone is consumed with envy in their heart, they have a hard time celebrating the success of another. They develop ill feelings and become annoyed that the person is doing well. This is not a good place to reside. We must search our hearts and eliminate envy. Envy can have a devastating affect on your life, it can make you sick! We can rid ourselves of this emotion by aligning with and obeying God's commands.

Pride is a destroyer! It is an attitude that God hates! We must not be so full of ourselves and our accomplishments that we no longer have room for God. This episode reviews how pride brought about the destruction of a king who started out good with the Lord, but ended up separated due to his arrogance and pride.

Our heart contains the issues of life. Everything we feel and think flows through it. It is important that we have a clean / pure heart towards God. When our hearts are polluted with sin, especially deliberate sin, we become separated from God. We do not want to be apart from Him. Therefore, we must search our hearts, better yet, ask God to search them to reveal any offensive way in us so we can be put back on the right path. We do sin sometimes, but the willful sinful actions we take are detrimental to our relationship with God. This episode reviews the consequences of cherishing iniquity.

Is the gift we use seldomly or intentionally? God's gift to us is good and very good. It is the only gift we will ever receive that never changes. It is the only gift that gives and gives and gives. Words really do matter! We need to monitor what is coming from our mouths, particularly if we want to be prosperous and successful. Our Heavenly Father has given us the solution to attaining a successful life, and much of it depends on the words we speak. God's words are powerful and effective. We must put His word in our hearts so that when we speak, they will come about. Not only are we to speak His words, but we must be attentive to them and obey them. The obedience is key! Without it we will not acquire the success we seek.

God hates liars! There is no profit in lying and God will punish all liars! When we lie, we try God's patience. We must get our tongues in proper order. Be truthful and honor God! Continuing to test God by being deceitful can have deadly consequences.

There are times we complain and not realize our complaining is an indictment against God. We are often guilty of testing His patience, intelligence, and ability. When we do this we are putting ourselves at risk of being dismissed from His promises!

Thanksgiving is truly more than a holiday. It involves more than time off from work, eating lots of food, and gathering with family. Yes, we are happy to be able to do those things, but Thanksgiving is much more. We need to know that Thanksgiving is God's idea and His will for our lives. God said, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged, for the Lord will be with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9) David was a man who possessed these qualities. He was not fearful or discouraged. He was strong and courageous! He knew God was with him. He did not shy away from the challenges. He faced them with confidence that God would be with him and bring him through them victoriously. We need to remind ourselves of this command and promise.

God opens doors for His chosen ones to enter. We must perfect our crafts! Be seen as faithful! Some saw the skillfulness of David, his brave heart, and knew the Lord was with him. His name was mentioned to the King. It may be so with us, too. Someone is watching. Be sure your name can be spoken with favor so that you can walk through those doors that God opens for you.

Sometimes people will devalue you based on their perceptions. They may think you're too young or too old. Some might think you're not qualified due to lack of education or status in life. The good news is God sees beyond what man sees. We see primarily the outward appearance and we make decisions about people based on that. But not God. God sees the heart and He chooses accordingly. God chose the least likely to be King over His people. I bet God has chosen you to do things that others thought you were not qualified to do, too.

In this episode we will see the reunion of Joseph with his family. It is important to note that Joseph does not reciprocate the brothers' treatment toward them. Instead, he shows them kindness and love. On this journey of life we experience all types of hurts and pains. The beauty of healing is that those pains will not prevent us from doing good even to those who have harmed us.

Sometimes dreams can be forgotten due to the difficulties we sometimes experience. Even though we've forgotten, God hasn't. He has a way of reminding us of the dreams He has given. God never forgets His promises or His plans! Joseph had been falsely accused and placed in prison for a crime he did not commit. The cupbearer was supposed to tell the Pharaoh about Joseph but he did not. Continued disappointments can be devastating, but know God is always present. He sees and knows everything! His plans cannot be thwarted. He can get your name to the king! You just need to be ready when you're called.

Despite being falsely accused and placed in prison, God's favor is still with Joseph. Even in this less desirable place Joseph's star rises and catches the attention of the Warden. He is elevated to being in charge of the prisoners and everything that happens in the prison. Joseph's integrity and faith is on display even though things are not going the way he'd like.

Integrity is an admirable quality especially when one can maintain it in even the most tempting situations. Joseph experienced an extreme challenge in his master's house. Despite the temptation he maintained his integrity. Sometimes when you are honorable it appears that your accusers gain the upper hand. Remain faithful! God sees and knows all.

The road to destiny isn't always paved with easiness. Everybody has experience in worry. Jesus has told us not to worry about our life. He asked why do we worry...? Is it because we lack trust in God to provide? How do you listen to God's Word? Is it with intention to do what it says? Do you hear it and then do nothing? Laziness is defined as not being easily aroused to activity or disinclined to exertion. When we accuse others of sin we should sure that there is no sin in our closet that needs to be confessed. Jesus met opposition! The religious leaders were to prepare the people for the arrival of the Messiah, but they were unaware that He was among them. A major component in prayer is believing that you have received what you've asked. There is, however, a pitfall to receiving and that is doubt. When we doubt we can't expect to receive. James warns us in the first chapter of his book to be mindful of the doubt that may creep into our thinking. One who doubts God should not expect to receive anything from Him.
