So many times when our devices are down and not working at their optimal, we know to refresh them, but how many times do we refresh our minds, as the operating systems of our bodies? On this episode, I have the pleasure of chatting with mental health advocate and speaker, Anele Ndlovu, as she shares her mental health journey with me. My hope is that this episode gives someone who is in the darkness of their life some light.
Spring has sprung in the Southern Hemisphere and so I thought I should bring a guest to chat about Blooming by the Book. Isiah 43:19 says "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland". Busi Mathe is a CA(SA), a former partner at a prominent international firm and chair of their board, a wife, a daughter, mother, mentor and big sister to many. She recently took the big step and left her corporate career to follow her calling in serving others to grow their businesses and awareness around cyber security. Busi chats to us about how she is allowing God to lead her through her wilderness and make a new thing for her, all for His glory!
Psalm 37:38 states, “The steps of a man are established by the Lord, And He delights in his way.” I believe that today more than ever there is spiritual warfare against men and in this episode, I welcome my first male guests, Xola Nouse and Luthando Chris Vuba, to share how they walk in manhood with God by their side.
In today's episode, we have a beautiful conversation with an entrepreneur, international speaker and published author, Lepang Ferguson. Lepang is also the creator of the daily devotional podcast "New Day with Lepang". This episode is anchored around 1 Corinthians 3:7, " It doesn't matter who does the planting, or who does the watering. What's important is that God makes the seed grow."
Proverbs 31:26 says, "She opens her mouth and wisdom and teaching of kindness is on her tongue". Social media has become a part of many of our lives, but how do we ensure that we use the platform to glorify God and amplify our purpose. LeAnne Dlamini is an all-around beautiful human and an inspiration to so many. She started her career off as a singer and has now made a name for herself in business and women empowerment. We chat to her about how she's intentionally used social media to "influence", inspire and guide others, while still staying true to her Christian values.
Proverbs 22:6 says, " Train up a child in the way he should go (teaching him to seek God’s wisdom and will for his abilities and talents). Even when he is old he will not depart from it". Our guest Tanya Cairns, phenomenal mom, wife and business career woman, shares her parenting journey and how she has been and continues to co-parent with God.
“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens the other.” The vision for my friendship with my guests today. I’m excited to share my friendship with my best friends and sisters in life; Ezlyn Barends and Marise Mackay.
In this episode we chat to Leslie "Lee" Kasumba, Africa's creative industry specialist and "it girl" of hip hop. Lee how God continues to direct her life's purpose even when "she's kicking and screaming" in defiance.
In this episode we chat to Rebecca Kanoerera; mother, life coach, business woman and the baddest phoenix I know; who keeps rising. Rebecca shares her story on how God restored her after she thought she had lost everything.
Welcome to Life by the Book!! In this trailer, I'll be sharing my vision for the podcast.
