Dr. Joan Miravite is a recipient of the coveted Jonas Foundation scholarship which supported her in completing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at NYU. She is currently the co-chair of the Jonas Alumni Council, where she works in partnership with APPs nationally on mentorship, recruitment, and networking. She serves as the Chair-Elect for the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Consortium of Neurology Advance Practice Providers. She is the Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine, Adjunct Professor at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing and a Clinical Instructor at Columbia University. Dr. Denis Tarrant is a Nurse Practitioner who has owned and operated Manhattan House Calls for the last 20 years. His practice offers home based primary care, reducing hospitalizations and improving access to high risk, high cost patients throughout Manhattan. Dr. Tarrant is a clinical instructor for Rutgers University, former AANP New York State Excellence Award Winner, and the Past President of The NPA in 2014.

Dr. Mary Koslap-Petraco is a clinical assistant professor at Stony Brook University School of Nursing in Stony Brook, NY, and a primary care provider in her own private practice after working for Suffolk County Department of Health Services for 30 years where she used her experience as a public health nurse to make system level changes. While on staff at SCDHS Dr. Koslap-Petraco managed the immunization and lead programs and provided education to staff and the public on various communicable diseases and assisted in the management of communicable diseases. She is a member of the ad hoc advisory board of the New York State Get Smart safe use of antibiotics campaign, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Ad Hoc Nurse advisory group, a nurse consultant for the Immunization Action Coalition, and chair of the scientific advisory board of Vaccinate Your Family-The Next Generation of Every Child by Two. Dr. Koslap-Petraco speaks on immunizations and infectious diseases nationally and internationally and has authored numerous articles and written chapters in four textbooks. She is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
