She’s also the author of three novels, two scripted kid’s podcasts (Becoming Mother Nature and Grandma For President), and has written on multiple kid’s TV shows.

Melissa taught at an art college in Los Angeles for 11 years, and has taught writing workshops at book festivals and conferences around the country.
