Sophia Saggezza is a forensic psychologist by training, a spoken word poet by choice, and an olive farmer for fun. She has always been fascinated by understanding the human mind and specialized in the topic of aggression prevention during her studies and prior work. Last year she has left her job in academic teaching to delve deeper into her passion for creative writing.

Her art is especially informed by humanistic and holistic psychology as well as mindfulness and Loving-Kindness practices. Sophia writes and performs on topics of self-worth, self-actualization, healing, and compassion. As she identifies as bisexual and polyamorous, much of her work also relates to aspects of queerness, sexuality, and love. Sophia was born and raised in Germany yet lived abroad in the Netherlands, UK, Italy, Australia and currently calls her ‘home’ to be Catalonia, Spain.

In this episode, we discussed freedom and how the body can enhance or limit it, what it means to be enough, jealousy and how to navigate it, especially in polyamorous relationships, pain and body awareness, and how to find balance when intensity is to be found at the extremes, and many more.
