Throughout the conversation, Gianine discusses the therapeutic role of music in movement, offering advice on how to choose the right tunes to help process and release emotions. Gianine’s wisdom and experiences offer valuable insights into how we can all use movement to live more connected and empowered lives.
This episode is a must-listen for anyone interested in the intersection of dance, well-being, and self-care.
💃🏽
Gianine Strang is a professional dancer and the proud founder of Movement Medicine, which stands for Reclaiming Your Power!
Over the years and from personal experiences, she learned that every experience, every trauma, and every joy we encounter leaves its mark on our bodies. Like silent witnesses, our bodies store these energies, often manifesting as discomfort or dis-ease when left unaddressed.
This realisation led her to a crucial question: Are we truly listening to what our bodies are trying to tell us? She realised that, for most of her life, she didn’t. Like many, she grew up in a society that taught her to detach from her body, ignore its signals, and prioritise the mind over everything else. To give her power away.

In this week's episode of Into Your Life podcast, we talk about selling with conviction.
We dive into the complex realm of confidence in the context of sales and self-promotion and share helpful insights on how to sell with conviction.
💰 💰 💰
Natalie starts by emphasising the importance of recognising one's worth, including the skills and experience we've accumulated over the years. She also uses the metaphor of offering someone a cup of tea to explain that not everyone will be ready for what you have to offer, and that rejection doesn't reflect on your worth as a business owner.
We also talk about the art of not taking rejection personally and Natalie mentions the profound impact that external responses can have on one's confidence and self-worth.
We explore why it's vital for coaches, freelancers and small business owners to detach their personal value from the reactions they receive when offering their products or services.
💰 💰 💰
This conversation is a powerful reminder to separate one's emotions from the act of selling and we do our best to promote a healthier, more confident approach to business and self-promotion.
Building the confidence to sell with conviction begins with our belief in our worth and the value of our offerings. This belief should act as a constant anchor during the challenging moments when doubt might creep in.
We know that sometimes it's hard to stay self-assured and resilient even in the face of rejection or self-doubt but remember that "You are worth it!"
We hope that this simple, yet empowering message becomes a guiding principle for those seeking to master the art of selling with conviction.

After setting the scene and defining what we mean by trauma, Fran shares her journey and experiences of helping people to deal with PTSD.
Fran explains how using imagination can help us deal with our trauma by accessing our subconscious and unlocking our core beliefs. She introduces us to a method that can help people to remove the emotional charge from their past traumas, enabling them to move into a place of empowerment.
We talk a lot about the body-mind connection and how we can reach the traumas we have stored in our bodies. We get a better understanding of how past events can affect us in the present moment and how to learn to move forward.
If you're looking to break free from the past and move into a place of empowerment, this episode is for you.
✨Fran Nguyen - Trauma Escape Artist and Trauma Counsellor
Fran helps people let go of the internal video loops and break free from the past.
She's passionate about this as her ex-husband had PTSD and we tried so hard to help him, and nothing worked. Then she discovered TheRichardsTraumaProcess and learnt how to help people get their lives back on track.

In this episode, we talk about guilt. Not the big "I have a body buried in my back garden" kind of guilt, but the many daily guilts that frequently weigh on us.
From not calling our parents enough to not recycling as much as we should, from sleeping in on the weekend to spending money on pedicures instead of saving a few pounds for rainy days... these guilts can add up and affect our mental well-being - BIG TIME.
Dealing with small daily guilts can be very challenging as they can easily pile up and cause us to feel stressed, overwhelmed and even inadequate. Right now there is so much pressure to be a high-achiever, to be always super productive and accomplish everything on our to-do list on a daily basis. UGH!
That can leave us feeling guilty when we want to take a nap, sleep longer or stare out of the window for a moment and do nothing!
We explore how the small things we feel we should be doing more or less can create unnecessary pressure and how to let go of the need to be always on, always performing our best and always smashing goals.

Reading corner is back with more book recommendations from Natalie and Lenka (and our podcast guests).
Our first book recommendation is Anatomy Of Spirit by Caroline Myss, all about holistic physical, emotional and spiritual healing.
In her book, she looks in depth into the cause of diseases and illnesses. Often our problems are not caused directly by our biology, but the root cause can be something in our past or our suppressed emotions and memories.
Caroline dives deep into chakras, what they are and how they impact us.
Similarly to another book, we mentioned in the past, When the Body Says No by Gabor Mate, it's guiding us to connect our past, our thoughts and emotions to our bodies and physical experiences and symptoms.
Lastly, we discuss the insightful book The Good Gut by Justin and Erica Sonnenburg which talks about taking control of your weight, your mood, and your long-term health by nourishing your microbiome.
In this book, you'll learn all about the groundbreaking science behind the surprising source of good health - our gut microbes - and you'll get a simple new plan for health that focuses on how to nourish your microbiota.
In this episode, we explore nutrition, exercise, weight loss, and our health & well-being habits with Greg Fearon.
We learn that our weight loss doesn't start with the physical, it starts with the mental stuff! To start with, we need to understand our WHY and the purpose behind our efforts to lose weight. If we can understand our dreams, we will do the things we have to do, even when we don't feel motivated.
In the next step, we need to assess the current state of events. We need to be really aware of our habits. "If you don't assess, you guess," says Greg.
Sometimes we think we know what our habits are, but when we pay closer attention, we might realise that we have been pretty off with our initial evaluation of our health habits!
In addition, we often have many unhelpful psychological stories in our heads that are controlling our actions.
We need to become a detective and look for facts, instead of accepting our inner narrative as fact. Always ask, "Is it a fact or a feeling?"
This episode is packed with helpful insights about getting healthier, happier and fitter, on your own terms!

Progress, not perfection!
In this episode, we chat about PROGRESS.
We discuss different challenges that might stand between us and progress.
Sometimes you get an initial influx of progress, but shortly after you hit a plateau OR you struggle to see any progress at all for a while after starting. None of these situations is ideal. Both present an obstacle that might cause us to feel despondent and give up on our goal altogether!
We also talk about how to measure progress, how to perceive progress and how to shift our mindset in thinking about progress.
We explore the idea that any movement, be it forward, backwards or sideways could be seen as progress. Even the smallest change is progress. And we also discuss whether or not it actually matters to worry about progress when the journey is the ultimate destination.
Want to know more? Tune into this episode and let us know what you think!
In this episode, we chat with Colin Papworth about moving and living pain-free. We discuss how changing our movement patterns bit by bit every day can help us feel better and live fulfilling, pain-free lives.
There's a lot of talk about the best form of exercise for strength, flexibility and health, but we look at the simplest, most natural ways of moving our bodies to feel better inside and out.
We discuss why it's important to move our bodies as much as possible in between work and other sedentary activities and the power of making our body do new different movements as often as possible during our daily activities.
We also look at the benefits of walking barefoot and paying attention to our feet' health for overall body health and well-being.

What did we learn from recording 50 episodes of Into Your Life podcast?
What were our biggest takeaways and which conversations with our amazing guests had the greatest impact on our lives?
In this episode, we look back at the past year and we reflect on our key takeaways!
Have you ever heard of Laughter Yoga before?
Tune in to this episode to find out what It is and how it works with our special guest, Muriel Daha!
😂 😂 😂
What is laughter yoga?
No, laughter yoga isn't simply doing a yoga pose and laughing while doing it. It has nothing to do with the asana part of yoga practice, no poses, no stretches.
Laughter yoga sessions include breathing exercises, chanting, improv and various silly exercises designed to make you laugh.
The point of laughter yoga is laughing for no reason at all and during the practice, artificial laughter becomes real laughter.
😂 😂 😂
There are many benefits to laughter yoga, including improving your mental health and well-being, alleviating stress, as well as improving your cardiovascular health and metabolism, causing us to burn more calories and potentially even lose weight.
Laughter yoga has been created to help people who are dealing with chronic illnesses and by regular practice, we can increase our pain threshold and reduce our cortisol levels (our stress hormones).
Laughter releases a wealth of stress-busting neurochemicals such as epinephrine and dopamine. A good, hearty laugh causes us to breathe more deeply from the belly which oxygenates our body and provides an emotional and physical release!
😂 😂 😂
We could go on and on, but instead, we'll encourage you to tune into this episode and if you're curious to give laughter yoga a try, you can connect with Muriel here:

In religion, the main purpose of “giving up” things in Lent is to bring us closer to God; to prioritise God; to put God in the centre of our minds and lives; to make God the focal point.
But we don't need to give up things only for religious reasons!
Lent is a wonderful opportunity to try something new, explore our habits and choose to let go of unhelpful habits.
Be it giving up sugar, alcohol, meat, or animal products altogether or be it giving up shopping and spending money, complaining and gossiping, or maybe negative self-talk!
We can also use this time to experiment with adding something new and building new positive habits.
It allows us to take a bit more time after Christmas and the start of the New Year, to intentionally choose what aspects of our lives (or even businesses) we want to challenge and change.
40 days is a great trial period of sorts to see if we would like to make some more permanent changes. 40 days is a good time period to really challenge ourselves and see if our new habits stick!
Let's bust some myths about extroverts!
Are all extroverts super confident?
Are they always buzzing with energy?
Are they the loudest ones in the room?
Are they know-it-alls?
Do they know how to listen?
Do they never stop talking?
In this episode, we chat with Maria Newman about being an extrovert and learning about interacting with people with different energies.
We bust some of the most common misconceptions about extroverts and we discuss ways both introverts and extroverts can communicate and work together better.

Do you feel the pressure to set goals?
How can you create plans without having clear goals?
Over here at Into Your Life podcast, we're not huge fans of NY resolutions and goals. Instead, we prefer to set intentions and use focus words to guide our actions.
Here are some of the questions that help us find our path forward:
In this episode, we talk about different ways we are aligning our day-to-day actions with our dreams and intentions in 2023 and beyond.
Tune in to discover which routines and habits we're implementing to help us stay on track and move towards our goals (even if we don't have them formalised).
For this week's episode, we have not one, but two amazing guests - David Brown and Thea Allison, and together we are exploring the topic of embodying archetypes.
David and Thea are both life coaches, focusing on holistic coaching as well as leadership coaching, and together they work with "archetypes with an embodied quality".
As they explain, archetypes are patterns of being and behaviour that are similar across different times and cultures.
Embodiment is a practice of learning to see and involve our body as a beloved thing and not just as an object or a vehicle for our mind & soul.
David explains that embodiment helps us realise that our body isn't just a brain taxi, it's like mindfulness on steroids!
Later in this episode, your can experience inner sovereignty and self-care practice guided by David. And Thea shares her walk practice and helps us uncover “the magic in life”.
During our chat, David and Thea also share some wonderful reading inspiration:
The Hero’s Journey - Joseph Cambell
The Heroine's Journey - Maureen Murdock
Archetypes: Who Are You? - Caroline Myss
David's work with the archetypes began over 30 years ago when he began his training with The Bushido Academy of Martial Artists, specialising in Aikido, Iaido (Sword), Karate, self-defence and oriental weapons.
Through martial arts, David gained extensive experience with the Warrior archetype. Also, the Zen training that accompanies the martial arts, cultivated the Sovereign archetype for him.
David trained as a life coach with CTI (Co-Active Training Institute), and combines his experience as a coach and martial artist in his Archetypes Academy work with Thea Allison.
Thea is a coach and facilitator who works from the foundation that we are deeply and naturally supported by life. She works with clients to make simple adjustments in mindset and embodiment to access that support and create magic.
She has over a decade of experience as a coach working with business leaders, aspiring coaches and social entrepreneurs.
Thea is developing a new approach to creating a life of deep, personal satisfaction through the interaction of human imagination, the human body and the infinite potential of creative energy. She calls this approach Embodied Creating.
Thea and David deliver events and trainings around embodying the archetypes. Having started their partnership to run Embodiment Circles as a source of support to people during the pandemic, they discovered just how effective it was to work through the model of the archetypes and embodiment. They continue to work with this unique approach to support clients to get new, sustainable results from very simple and easily applied embodiment techniques to bring to life the range of qualities of the sovereign, magician, lover and warrior within.

In this week's episode, we talk about releasing grief. We discuss different ways that can help us cope better with everyday losses.
We don't need to lose a loved one or have our lives turned upside down by a tragedy to feel grief.
There are many day-to-day challenges and losses that we need to process and overcome. Be it a loss of an opportunity, a growing distance from a good friend, a loss of the old self or even the loss of a pet.
Not all these losses are of the same magnitude and they might impact us in different ways. We're also very different and we won't feel the same emotions about various unhappy life events. But there are certain things we all can do, no matter what loss we're dealing with at the moment.
In this episode, we share what worked for us personally when we have delts with some of these challenges.
Tune in, this is a safe space to process and release your grief!
Welcome back to Into Your Life Podcast!
With our first guest of 2023, we dive straight into some juicy topics.
We chat about social anxiety, how to thrive as introverted business owners and how to manage our energy when it comes to networking, attending meetings or even public speaking.
We also get into the challenges of being a sensitive, introverted man in the rough world of the army leadership, sports or business. We loved Stuart's vulnerability throughout the whole conversation!
Stuart then introduces us to fascinating wearable neurotechnology.
If you're like us and wondering: "What the heck is wearable neurotech and how it works?" - we've got you. Stuart answers all our questions and explains all the ins and outs of the science and application of wearable neurotechnology. It's pretty mind-blowing!
In short, wearable neurotechnology are specifically designed "patches" or pieces of clothing such as socks, insoles, knee support or even shapewear, that by simply touching our skin can "talk" to our brain.
These patches have a particular pattern we can detect through our skin which is interacting with our brain and can change our brain activity (in different ways, depending on the pattern)!
It's an incredibly fast-acting, non-invasive solution that without any chemicals can help us manage our mental states - in both ways (to calm us down or to help us focus)!
It can help our brain deal with all that we're going through - and that's powerful.
We also loved Stuart's final advice:
Before you head into your next meeting or networking event, take a moment to calm down your brain. Be it through breathing, visualisation or by using one of these cool wearable pieces of technology, it makes all the difference to approach a potentially challenging and stressful situation with a calm mind and clear focus.
As an introvert trying to find your way through the loud world of extroverts, you need to be clear on your purpose and your why to be willing to push yourself out of your comfort zone.
"Just go on and do it."

Happy new year everyone!
Hope you had a great holiday break and that you started 2023 with fresh energy and motivation.
In this episode, our first episode of 2023, we chat about using words as intentions for the year ahead.
Words can be very powerful in guiding us towards our desired goals, informing our behaviours and assuring we achieve what we set out.
We don't like setting NY resolutions, but we love choosing one or a few focus words to keep us grounded and on track throughout the year.
How about you? Do you have a focus word(s) chosen for 2023? What are they?
If you've never tried using guiding words, give it a try!
We're sure you'll enjoy not only the process of selecting the right ones, but also the ease of using them throughout the year to steer your decisions and actions.
The end of 2022 is just around the corner and many of us spend this "limbo" time between Christmas and the New Year reflecting on the year just passed.
In this week's episode, we encourage ourselves (and you, our wonderful listeners too) to ponder a few reflective questions!
The first question we discuss is: "What have you created in 2022 that you're proud of, that brings you joy and a feeling of satisfaction?"
We are celebrating the creation of our podcast and looking back on all the insights and takeaways from our conversations with many amazing guests!
As we reflect, we explore the meaning of achievement and we redefine what the idea of "an achievement" means to us.
Achievement is not just about completing our big goals. Achievement can be more than just our monetary gains or weight loss milestones or the number of books we managed to complete in a year.
Achievement is also our inner journey, our learnings, and the depth of understanding of ourselves and our loved ones...
Achievement is seeing the progress we've made, no matter how small or invisible to the outside world.
It's important to acknowledge the journey we've been on, the transformation we've been through, and look at the good and the bad things that happened to us in the past 12 months.
"We don't learn by doing. We learn by reflecting on what we've done!"
Reflecting on all we've done, experienced, and learnt allows us to cement the lesson even deeper and gain a better perspective.
And lastly, reflecting gives us the time and space to celebrate AGAIN what we've accomplished and be proud of all the ups and downs we've been through!
We deserve this time to appreciate how far we've come and feel proud of all the little and big achievements.
Another question you can meditate and journal on as part of your reflections is: "What you'd like to leave behind and what you'd like to bring forward?"
The Christmas feeling is all around, so let's chat a bit about our festive traditions.
In this episode, we explore Christmas traditions from all around the world (or at least those parts we have experienced ourselves).
How do festive traditions differ between the UK, Czech Republic and South Africa? And how about you? Are there any unique traditions that might surprise us? Let us know!
Tune in to hear how we celebrate Christmas, what Christmas means to us and what traditions we're proud to keep carrying forward (and which ones we don't mind leaving behind).
"I have a dream last night..."
In this episode, we talk about the power of our dreams with Clinical Hypnotherapist, Sleep Researcher & Dream Seer, Mariana Babas.
Mariana is more than just a "dream lady", she's a businesswoman, lawyer, mum, and passionate chef, but along the whole journey, at her core, dreams have always remained!
We talk about why many adults don't remember their dreams and what we can do to allow our dreaming minds to come forward to our consciousness.
Dreams are not a priority for many of us. We don't pay enough attention to our dreams unless they come as a warning either in a form of a nightmare or a recurring dream that forces us to pay attention to them.
With Mariana, we discuss why even as adults, we should pay more attention to our dreams and build a stronger understanding of the ways our unconscious mind communicates with us.
"Dreams are a way of communicating with our souls!"
We spend almost 25 years of our lives (a third of our lives) in sleep time and we spend almost 6 years in the dream realm.
Two of the most important gateways into our dreams are (1) the moment when we go to sleep and (2) the moment when we wake up. These are two powerful moments in which we can do something about our connection with our dreams.
A very simple and powerful technique that we could use to draw dreams forward at the moment before we go to sleep is intention.
Another technique to train our brain to pay more attention to the messages provided by our sleeping mind is taking note of our dreams the moment we wake up.
"Dreams can guide us, dreams can save us," says Mariana Babas

Would you like to join our monthly confessions corner and hear what we're dealing with in our lives right now?
In this episode, we get really personal and share more about our current challenges!
When discussing our issues with our families, we reminded ourselves of the need to take back control of our lives.
In this week's chat, we're giving ourselves permission to be selfish and put our individual needs first.
"Say yes to more things for us and say yes less often to other people's requests and demands." - Lenka
Put a plan of change in place, set out key milestones in the future when things will change and start taking small steps towards them!
Change is all about planning, baby steps and a lot of patience - would you agree?
If you feel like it, let us know what you'd like to confess!
Do you have some books that you've been saving for the holidays?
Here are our juicy Christmas recommendations:
Our recommendations are:
Human by Design: From Evolution by Chance to Transformation by Choice by Gregg Braden
The Epigenetics Revolution: How Modern Biology Is Rewriting Our Understanding of Genetics, Disease, and Inheritance Hardcover by Nessa Carey
The Biology of Belief: Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter and Miracles by Bruce H. Lipton
The Greatest Secret by Rhonda Byrne
Rivers of London Series by Ben Aaronovitch
Side mention: Resilience from the Heart: The Power to Thrive in Life's Extremes by Gregg Braden
What are these books about?
One of the red threads between most of these books is the theme of connecting scientific and spiritual perspectives!
In this episode, we chat about our understanding of the "New biology paradigms". We look at how science is finally slowly moving away from genetic determination and allows us to get a better understanding of how our environment impacts our health and well-being.
We also discuss the power of choice!
Our health, happiness and well-being are often down to our conscious decisions. It can be improved greatly with a change in our beliefs, attitudes and of course actions.
How about you? What have you read lately that really made you think? What are you planning to read during the holidays?
Do you want to know how to cope with peri-menopause and menopause to maximise your happiness, productivity and empowerment?
In this episode we talk about women's health, especially looking at hormones, nutrition, self-care and exercise and ways to be happier and healthier at any age!
One of our aims is to normalise talking about hormones, women's health struggles with periods, peri-menopause or menopause and what impact it may have on our careers, personal satisfaction and family happiness.
Did you know that peri-menopause can often start with common emotional and psychological symptoms?
Many women in their 40s or 50s might be asking themselves some of these questions: "Why do I feel so unbalanced all the time? Why do I always feel like I can't cope? Why do I feel so anxious? Why do I feel so stressed? Why am I forgetting words?"
As a society, we sweep these questions under the rug and pretend "It's normal" because it's so common. But common doesn't mean normal!
We dive deep into the science behind female hormones and how they change during different stages of our lives.
Lucy explains why sleep, self-care, rest and relaxation as well as stress management, are key to feeling happier and healthier (and being more focused and productive while at work).
It's such a valuable episode for every woman looking to understand herself (her body and mind) better for a happier, healthier and more empowered life!

In today's short and sweet episode we openly share our quirks that drive other people crazy (and sometimes ourselves as well), but that we proudly accept as part of our personality!
How about you? What are you obsessed with?
Be it obsessively collecting books, mugs, water bottles, phone cases, coasters, scarves or maybe notebooks...
Be it obsessing around food waste and making the lowest possible negative impact on our planet. Maybe it's having your bed perfectly made every morning, cleaning your desk before you start working or even having pens in all the colours of the rainbow for your meeting notes...
Nothing is too crazy for us!
Embrace your inner weirdo and let us know about your quirks!
In this episode, we discuss our understanding and experiences with holding ourselves (or each other) accountable!
What keeps you accountable?
When you want to achieve something, what helps you stay on track and show up even when you don't feel like doing anything?
Through our conversation, we look at different aspects of our personal and work lives and discuss various areas where we might need some accountability.
We explore the relationship between accountability and judgement and we discuss different types of accountability...
First, we look at ways we might need to be supported:
Frequent check-ins and regular reminders
Self-governance
Being overseen by someone we respect
We also discuss different approaches to holding ourselves (or each other) accountable:
Monetary investment - triggering our pain centres
1-2-1 support - feeling responsible to show up and not wanting to let down someone we're committed to
Peer pressure - fear of failing and being seen as an "impostor"
It's all about learning what works best for us individually and what works for our clients.
If you're curious to hear what works for us and what solutions you might want to explore, tune into this episode and let us know your thoughts!

What does it mean to be an introvert?
In this episode, we explore our definitions of introversion, what it means to be an introvert in business and how we cope in today's post-pandemic, always switched-on, fasted paced world.
Why do certain things impact us more extremely and why do we feel a certain way in various circumstances?
We chat about the need to recover from pandemic isolation and start building the muscle of socialising again. Us introverts, we need quiet time and space to recover from spending time with people. We need a balance between time with others and time alone.
We turn to neuroscience to get a better understanding of what's going on in our bodies and minds. We explore which neurochemicals are involved in making us feel happy & connected and most importantly how we can get a higher DOSE of these feel-good hormones such as dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin and endorphin.
What lessons can we learn from nature during autumn that we can implement in our lives and our businesses?
In this week's episode, we are chatting about getting ourselves and our businesses ready for the last quarter of the year and laying a fertile ground for the coming year.
We discuss what we can do in the coming weeks to finish off our year on a high, but also get our businesses ready for the quickly approaching new year.
For us, autumn is the perfect time of the year to start reflecting on the year thus far. We've already been through 3 quarters, run a lot of campaigns, tested a lot of ideas, and implemented new solutions... and yet we still have some time left for the last push to tick off all our remaining goals for the year.
Tune in to hear how we can create more space for future growth by consciously planning for the next season!
In this episode, we try to find our "happy ever after" with Happier Life Mentor, Cath Downes.
Cath helps overwhelmed women live in a way that makes them happy and fulfilled.
She works with people who feel consumed by juggling work and life and helps them to reduce stress, increase productivity and find happiness, joy and fulfilment every day!
In this episode, we try to find answers to questions such as:
How can you find your "happy ever after"?
Can you ever get to "happy ending" stage of your life once and for all?
During our conversation, we get a better understanding of the most common misconceptions about happiness and we explore what happiness actually is.
We learn that happiness isn't just going to happen to us. Happiness is a choice and happiness is also a skill we can improve on!
We discuss different ways of finding more happiness and fulfilment in our lives by focusing on finding joy in the little things!
“The little things? The little moments? They aren’t little.” — Jon Kabat-Zinn
As always, we also look at the downside of happiness. We explore the dangers of toxic positivity - always trying to see the bright side of things and continuously trying to make ourselves or other people smile and be positive no matter the circumstances!
We need to learn how to deal with our emotions. Feel comfortable sitting with them, taking the time to process them and recognise their validity.
"You can be a happy person and still feel all the feels!" - Cath Downes
It's a fascinating conversation that will give you a lot to think about!

Do you have a purpose?
Do you feel overwhelmed by the constant pressure to know your purpose?
Did purpose lose its meaning by the frequent repetition? Is it just an empty "trendy" word?
We love the definition of purpose by Esther & Abraham Hicks, who famously said that the Purpose of Life is Joy!
In this episode, we discuss what purpose means to us and our journey to realise that it's enough to simply want to live. To desire to have a happy and healthy life and simply be as we are without judgement or external pressure to be more, do more, have more.
Purpose doesn't have to have an all-encompassing, almost evangelical meaning! You don't have to have a desire to change the world or make a huge impact.
"I just want to be me, be true to myself, follow my values, and be the best person I can be."
If this sentiment resonates with you, let us know what is your perspective on our current obsession with following THE purpose?!
In this episode we're introducing a new recurring topic to bring more light hearted conversations. We'd love to share a bit more about ourselves, show you a bit more about our quirky personality and confess something personal!
What are your guilty pleasures?
And how about we stop calling them "guilty" pleasures and instead we bring more fun, joy and pleasure in our lives - guilt free?
Is reading a novel over a personal development or business book a guilty pleasure of yours?
Is watching Netflix romcoms instead of diving into another scientific talk on YouTube something you enjoy doing every now nad then?
Let's embrace our guilty pleasures and enjoy them guilt free!
In this episode, we chat with Lisa Sibley about the power and science of breathwork.
We look at the benefits of breathwork and what breathwork can do for us, no matter our age, profession or level of fitness.
Breathwork looks at all sorts of breathing practices through which we consciously control our breathing to change our mental, emotional or physical state.
We discover how and why breathing deeply through our nose into our belly changes everything. Lisa also shares a short breathing exercise with us, to help us find our way into our bodies and calm down our systems.
We've noticed that people look more and more for natural ways of taking care of themselves, and Lisa believes that we should put breath no 1 on our well-being and self-care list!
"Breathwork is for everyone because we all have it!"
Lisa is an inspiring breath worker, passionate about the power of our breath to transform our lives. She has a special gift for creating a safe, deeply transformative space to breathe.

Do you like stepping out of your comfort zone?
What do you do as an introverted business owner?
Setting up your business is a very brave decision and to grow your business, you'll have to learn how to do all many uncomfortable, challenging things outside of your comfort zone!
If you run your own business, you simply have to get comfortable being uncomfortable.
Starting your own business will stretch you to your limit. From our experience, it's the biggest learning, and personal development journey one can ever go on.
In this episode, we percolate on the topic of a comfort zone. We explore the ups and downs of challenging ourselves to step outside of our comfort zone to get into the growth zone, but at the same time avoiding overdoing it.
Are you a patient person?
How come we can be really patient when it comes to something, but very impatient, anxious and easily annoyed another moment, in another situation?
What does "being patient" mean to you?
By definition, patience is the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious.
What's the relationship between patience and perfectionism?
In this week's episode, we ask ourselves these questions and more...
We look at the need for patience in healing, processing trauma and getting our health "back on track".
We often want to be fixed in a few weeks, even though the damage might have been caused over many weeks, months, years, decades and even generations.
Everything has its own time and it's especially true when it comes to healing!
BUT
There's also the dark side to patience! Being too patient can mean being inactive and not taking the necessary steps to allow things to progress.
In this episode, we chat about looking underneath the superficial of healing and wellness. We chat about learning through life and all our experiences and applying all the lessons to practice.

Have you ever felt broken?
In this episode we go deep, we go dark, we go personal.
We're exploring our experiences of feeling "broken" and struggling to keep going...
Maybe you've been there too!
There have been times in our lives when we have felt that "we're done", that we don't know what to do anymore or where to go or whom to ask for help.
We were questioning ourselves and we felt lost.
Sometimes it can almost feel like you don't know who you are, what you do, where you go, what you want... And this can really have a big impact on your mind, body and soul and it can almost make you feel broken!
But don't worry, it's not just dark thoughts!
We discuss our coping mechanisms that help us get out of these moments, how we use different self-care practices and how we work with our mindset to overcome our inner demons!
So, what do you do, when you feel broken?
We're keeping it light for this week's episode...
Even though the episode has been recorded a few weeks ago, it's a very topical rant about the weather, which we thought you might enjoy on this tropical day!
We discuss how changing seasons and extreme weather impact our energy and how we can adjust our routines depending on the current climate.
So, if you feel like you need a bit of cooling off today, tune in and listen to our conversation from the time when it was cold and windy!
"My personal life was a wreck."
"I didn't know how to deal with life..."
That is how Ellen Willoughby opened up the story of her life...
In this episode, we talk with Ellen Willoughby about ways we can change our minds and get unstuck in our lives!
Ellen shares her story of going from surviving to thriving, from not knowing how to deal with life and suffering from serious mood swings, to learning how we can change our minds and get unstuck through meditation.
We explore some of the many aspects of Buddhism that resonated with Elly and help her along the way. we learn about the vast variety of teachings in Buddhism, about patient acceptance as well as the golden nugget that we all carry within us!
Tune in to find out how Ellen turned her life around and went from surviving to thriving!
"Whenever we meet other people, rather than focusing on their delusions we should focus on the gold of their Buddha nature. … Recognizing everyone as a future Buddha, out of love and compassion we shall naturally help and encourage this potential to ripen."
"Buddha compared our Buddha nature to a gold nugget in dirt, for no matter how disgusting a person’s delusions may be, the real nature of their mind remains undefiled, like pure gold. In the heart of even the cruelest and most degenerate person exists the potential for limitless love, compassion and wisdom. Unlike the seeds of our deluisons, which can be destroyed, this potential is utterly indestructible, and is the pure, essential nature of every living being."

Or swap books for movies. And even better, organise an impromptu movie night with friends!

This week's episode is not only about the books we're currently reading, but also about our personal challenge in maintaining the same levels of reading throughout the year...
How about you? Do your reading levels and styles change throughout the year?

In this episode we talk a lot about well-being, starting by highlighting the 3 components of well-being according to our guest, Dave James.
We discussed how to build new habits by taking the smallest possible steps and stacking new habits onto our old habits. This allows us to move forward even a few tiny steps, which is beneficial to us and will help us become healthier & happier than not doing anything or changing anything at all.
This episode is filled with deep moments, personal stories, practical tips and good laughs. We enjoyed chatting with Dave so much and we hope you'll enjoy listening to our conversation as well!
