Listen to this episode in its entirety. This one was recorded on Facebook and I had some people in the comments interacting with me. We talked about so much but I was trying to explain that there are quite a few situationships that people interpret as relationships and we need to clear things up. So, how do YOU know when you are in a relationship with somebody? Do you discuss it or do you just feel it? Lol

Today's episode is about how I have revisited old relationships and expired situations that I knew meant me no good, just to prove to someone else that I was telling the truth. Why did I do it? Because sometimes I have to learn the hard way that some things are better off not being understood. Can you relate to that? Listen to the full episode and let's get better and not being people pleasers all of the time.

Let's get straight to the point. Pregnancies are different and labor stories are different. There are lot of graphic videos around that deal with labor and delivery and I am happy to say that I cannot relate to a lot of them. Especially the topic of what the doctor does near the end of delivery. Listen to this episode and pleeeease let me know what you think.

In this episode I talk about a conversation that I recently had with a man that I'd met. He was telling me why he chose to do drugs. Surprisingly when he started talking I thought, if I've heard one story about doing drugs then I've heard them all. I was wrong. Please listen to this episode and let me know what you think about it. Have you ever heard a rare reason for why someone did drugs or still does drugs?

This is an episode specifically about having boundaries with your family and actually sharing those boundaries with your family. As much as we would like to think that there are people who can read our minds, we still need to open our mouths and tell people what we want them to know. So sit back and listen as I talk about a conversation that we all should be having with our family members. The family members who need to hear it the most, that is.

As, parents we get carried sometimes when it comes to letting our children make their own decisions. Yes, we think that we know what's best for them. But if we truly believe that we are raising them right, then the only way to find out is to put them to the test and let them explore options in the world and see how it plays out. I'm not telling you to let the run wild without supervision. I'm just saying to give them some breathing room so that they can figure what they like and what they don't like before they become full grown adults and everything becomes a secret.

I go live on Facebook on Monday nights at 8:30 pm and have Tarot Monday. On this particular Monday, I did three different tarot card spreads and this episode is for the first tarot card spread that I did. I wanted to give a message to anyone who was having a challenging week. Whatever problems had come up in the past 7 or so days or even on Monday, I wanted to address it for those people by doing a tarot card spread especially for them.
This is the recording from the first part of Tarot Monday for 12/4/2023. This message might be for you anyway. No matter what day it is that you listen to this episode.

I've heard people ask the question, "Would you date you if you were someone else?" Which is a thought provoking question. But, if you are a parent, then ask yourself, would you let your child date you? Although I struggle some days with wondering if I am a good enough mother, other days I wonder if I am a good enough example of the kind of woman that I would want my son to bring home. So in this solo episode, I explain why I am trying not to let my son end up with a woman or girl who has been as hurt and traumatized as I have. I call myself saving him from me.
If you want creative ways to get a closer bond with your child and learn more about them then try filling up a BINGO sheet that I created just for fun. You can choose which ideas you want to try and then reward yourself with whatever you think you deserve. Maybe it's a pat on the back or a massage. I know that someone can relate to this episode, so let me know what you think when you finish listening.

In this episode I read the book Who Moved My Cheese, live on Facebook. I have given a copy of the book to multiple people. I don't know if any of them have ever read it. I ran out of copies to pass out but I still wanted people to know the contents of the book so I took the copy that I still have for myself and I read it on Facebook live. If you're thinking about getting a copy of the book for yourself, let me tell you that it only takes about an hour to read from front to back. I've been courteous enough to save the search for the book and decided to read it to you. I really, really do believe that you will enjoy this episode. Please share it with someone. Thank you.

In this solo episode I talk about how money changes people. I asked my followers if they think that money changes people and everyone commented with the mindset of money changing people when they get money. That's exactly how I thought that they would respond. When in fact I wanted to point out how money changes the people that lose money or no longer have access to it. I discuss both kinds of people, but this conversation gets interesting so listen in and tell me what you think.

In this solo episode I talk about how parents know their kids better than any teacher who is just meeting the child for the first time. Also, some of these teachers don't like children and they don't like their job, so don't be so quick to believe everything that they say. I've covered this topic because school is about to begin and we don't know how the dice are going roll for the upcoming year. Good luck to all of the kids for a great school year.
I added a Tarot Monday onto the end of this episode. Let me know how you feel about the topic and the tarot card of the week. As always, thank you for your continued support.

In this solo episode I talk about what motivates people to act the way that they do. If someone tells a person that they are the sweetest person that they have ever met then that person may go out of their way to make other people think that they are actually the nicest person ever. However, if someone says that you are stupid and mean and not dependable then you may go around being a butt hole to everyone else because you believe what someone tells you about yourself.

In this solo episode, I talk about how I had to ignore my pride and do things that would benefit my son but could also make me look like a bad mother. In this solo episode I talk about feeling regret when you've done too much people because you think that you can help everyone. We do not have to be super women all of the time. It's ok to tell someone no. It's ok to let them find what they need from somewhere else. Because in the end, you have to deal with your decision whether it makes you uneasy, regretful or upset. After the short topic I also did a Tarot Monday with the 8 of Swords. Let me know what you think of the episode.

In this solo conversation, I discuss what it is like trying to leave a situation that is not good for you and people are trying to keep you in the situation for some reason. I believe that it is just instinct to tell people not to move on because it feels like you are helping the situation when in actuality you are prolonging the toxicity of it all. After listening to this episode let me know what you think.

I will tell you all ( the listeners) what my interpretation is for the card and let you set your own tone for the remainder of the week. There are 78 cards in a tarot deck and I will not pull the same card twice during the 78 weeks. This way I will be able to show each card at least once.
For the first week of Tarot Monday, I drew the Wheel of Fortune card. Each Monday I get better and better at explaining how I interpret the cards. Follow my podcast and subscribe to my emails on my website so that you can stay informed of new episodes.

In this episode I talk about how we feel sorry for people who are getting their karma. I mean seriously, we always say that people are going to get their karma, but we never say, oh they are getting their karma right now. So sometimes we are actually witnessing someone get their karma because shit happens.

Never say never because that's when it's going to happen. I've had to put my foot in my mouth a few times since I've become a mom. Now I know that we are all doing the best that we can with what we have. That's what makes parenting so interesting. In this episode I talk about a woman who let her son live with his dad full time when he turned 14 and I didn't know how to feel about that, until........ Listen in and let me know what you think.

Welcome back. Who's ever said that taking the easy way is the fun way? Nobody. There's nothing fun about being extra careful. But if you make it seem like a lot could go wrong, now we're talking. Today's episode is about how we want to do something more, when we know that there is a risk involved.

In this interview I speak with Yvette Troublefield who is currently a Mortgage Specialist with State Employees' Credit Union at the Grandover Village branch in Greensboro, NC. She has been employed by SECU for 9 years. She is also the Political Action chairperson of the Montgomery County Branch NAACP. Her goal is to bring financial literacy to all persons and age groups to promote God's calling for all of his children to live in the land of abundance. She graduated from Fayetteville State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and has come to the podcast to answer the questions that I had about mortgages and financial literacy.
2 things that we discussed during this interview are:
1) The difference between prequalifying and preapproval.
2) What an escrow is.

Heyyyyy! Welcome back to the podcast. We are in season #3 yall and I'm starting off the season with an episode about being called crazy by people who know that you know your stuff. When they are beaten by the truth, they will tell lies. And the one "insult" that people like to use is "Oh, they're crazy." Well I'm going to call those people out in this episode. So, sit back and enjoy and tell someone to subscribe to my podcast and emailing list.

Welcome back. I recorded this episode live on my Facebook page so follow me on facebook at ("Girlfriend. let me tell you," The Podcast) for future live recordings. I talked about how there are so many components that are needed to make things work. Some people feel like just because they declare that they love someone or something, that is all that they need to do to make relationships work and dreams come true and that just simply is not true. So, I shared my point of view and had some viewers to comment as I recorded. I hope that you enjoy the show.

Hey yall. So after wanting to go to Essence Festival for so long, I finally went. Since the trip was for the experience and for my 40th birthday, I flew first class and stayed in a very nice hotel. This episode doesn't tell about the whole experience, it's just to let you know that I was able to get a real feel of what New Orleans is really like when the pandemic isn't slowing things down. My birthday was July 8th so shout me out on my social media pages.

In this solo episode I talk about why I think kids should be able to explore having a boyfriend or girlfriend. I mean isn’t that how people figure out relationships? By actually having those relationships. I feel like girls have it the hardest because people want to protect the girls from whatever bad things that they think is going to happen. Whole time somebody else is raising their son to be the perfect gentleman for a girl that can’t even have a boyfriend yet. And to be honest with you, having a boyfriend isn’t something that you want your daughter to navigate through on her own when she is older and almost an adult. There are so many important points that have to be made and so many conversations that have to be had and so many moments that parents should be around to witness, correct and explain.
Boys need to be able to have a girlfriend if that is what they want. Of course most of them may still be wrapped up in electronics and that is fine, considering a lot of girls are gamers too. However, that is a common interest that they both might have and their boyfriend/girlfriend relationship may solely be based on getting together whether in person or their favorite online game and just spending time enjoying gaming. Either way that is a form of compatibility.
If kids are allowed to figure out friendships, adult relationships with teachers, mentors, older family members, their friend’s parents, employers and with animals or insects, then they should be able to learn the ins and outs of having a boyfriend or girlfriend. After you listen to this episode, let me know what you think.

In this solo episode Coach Tasha talks about why women should dress like they have somewhere to go when they show up to a booty call. If you want more out of the visit than just sex, then you have to carry yourself like you want more than sex. Do you know how many booty calls have turned into marriages? Yeah, me neither, but I'm sure it has happened before. If I were you I wouldn't even show up to a booty call or agree to a quick pull up or even engage in a supposed one-night-stand unless I was dressed and looking like a whole snack. Just think about it. Have you ever worn a bad ass outfit and after you've done all that you need to do, you think to yourself, "I need to go to a few more places because I'm not finished showing off?" Well, isn't that how you want somebody to feel about you when you go to their house or when they come to your house? Like, they have to take you somewhere and show you off or at least show you one hell of a good time because you look too good to leave alone. And be ready for anything when you go. Bring a bag. Can you shower and change into a different outfit? Can you adjust your hair style? Are you prepared to go out of town at the last minute? What does your clothes, hair and spinnanight bag say about you? I hope it screams, "Yes, I want to have sex and yes I want to do something afterwards." Don't say I didn't warn you.

In this solo episode I talk about when I lit a pile of pine straw on fire a couple of nights ago. From the time I finished raking the pine straw up until the moment I sprayed the fire out with the water hose, I was having revelation after revelation and I could apply every moment to my own life. It was as if the fire and water were both talking to me and I was listening.
The fire represents the purpose and passion that we all have for something. The water reminded me of the people and things that will make you consider changing your mind about what you’re going after. Listen to this whole episode as I go into greater detail of what this moment meant for me.

In this solo episode I talk about the time that I was car shopping. I was so desperate to stop having to ride the city bus, that I was almost willing to buy whatever vehicle I could approved for. I had a vehicle in mind, that I ended up buying, but if it had not been for my cousin pushing me to be patient and wait for what I really wanted, I know that I would have been very regretful the morning after the purchase. There are other times when I felt like I couldn't wait or I shouldn't wait because I didn't think that I could have what I wanted. There have also been times when I got carried away trying to prove something to someone when there was actually nothing to prove. Listen to this episode to hear what I mean.

In this episode I talk about realistic, personal reasons for not wanting to deal with someone any more. This is not a complete list of reasons, but instead this episode is an addition to any lists that exist. Physical abuse, cheating and lying may be the most common reasons to want to end a relationship of any kind, but there are comparable reasons for someone who has called it quits for their own good. Have you ever had someone that you spend a lot of time talking to or someone that you sit with in person or someone that you share your thoughts and dreams with and then in those moments you feel like, why am I entertaining this person? Even though you think it to yourself and don't say it out loud, you still come up with an answer or you can't get that thought out of your head because you need answers. Maybe this person makes you feel exhausted. Maybe the interaction drains you. Maybe their presence sets you back in your plans and you are at a stand still because you have taken on their grief or their lack of motivation. One of you are rubbing off on the other and it seems like you are the one being depleted. So not you have a decision or two to make. Staying in contact with people who make you neglect the boundaries that you set for yourself can have you accepting any and everything from anyone because your standards have lowered. When though? You can't even put your finger on the moment that it happened. Walking away from people and the situations that include can help you heal in a way that you need the most. Who are you holding on to? Better yet, why are you holding on to them?

On today's episode I talk about how some of us like to put on a show when we know that someone is watching. You've never argued so good or cursed so bad than when someone was there to witness it or when someone was waiting to hear about it. The stories got "badder and badder" as you talked about how you were the bad guy until a time came when your story didn't go as planned. Have you ever tried to be on your worst behavior and the cards didn't fall in your favor? When that happens, we have to alter the story a little bit and sometimes we go from being the villain to being the victim. You know, we leave out a few details until further notice. (Guilty) So, this episode is dedicated to the times when we were not-so-good but we were so very proud of it. And it's also dedicated to those times when we knew better but just didn't care.

In today's episode I talk about the thoughts that went through my head when I saw Will Smith slap Chris Rock on national television. That slap, whether anyone agrees with it or not, reminded me of some situations that I have dealt with in my life where someone started something and was not happy when I decided to help finish it. There are too many times when people are given a pass for bothering other people. There are also too many times when there is more focus on the reaction rather than what lead up to the reaction. I saw so much emotion and relevance in Will Smith's face and I saw some realization in Chris Rock's face too. So I decided to share my thoughts on what I saw that maybe someone else saw too because if you've ever been through something then you can look at someone else and immediately be triggered to something that has happened to you and it makes the situation that much more understandable. When you listen to this episode, you will hear me cover at least these three points:
How disappointed I am in the women who commented about Will and Jada's marriage in support of Chris Rock.
Why Will's facial expressions and reaction reminds me of when I have had to distance myself from certain people.
No one can please everyone so just know that no matter what you do or how you do it, you will get talked about. There will be people who stand in your favor and people who stand in your way.

Today's episode is for the single mothers who have been called crazy baby mamas or the single mothers who feel totally misunderstood. If you have tried to be cordial with your child's father but it always seems to turn into an argument then this episode is for you. If you've ever cried because being a single mother seems dang near impossible some days, then this episode is for you. If you feel like you aren't doing enough things to make co-parenting work simply because people keep talking about you, then this episode is for you.
Believe me when I say that there is going to be some level of stress when we become mothers and you can also believe that because we are single mothers, some of that stress is unnecessarily caused by our own actions. We are not going to take all of the blame for what we go through but we are going to face it head on and acknowledge that we can do a better job of controlling how we feel about certain situations.

I don't know who needs to hear this episode, but I recorded it just for you. In today's episode, I talk about the times when we pick and choose who we listen to when we are being told about ourselves. No one is perfect and for that reason, there will be someone who wants to tell you how they see you and what they think will make you a better employee, sister, friend, business owner, mother, teacher and what ever other roles you may have. And they are only going to tell you so many times before they stop telling you anything at all. That's just the people who don't mind talking to you. Did you know that you do not come off as someone who can be approached by some people? That's right. It could be that you seem sensitive, easily offended, rude or irritated. Either way, when it comes to the point where no one can talk to you, you better believe that they are talking about you. To who, you ask? They will talk about you to anyone who will listen. And sometimes they end up talking to people who want to use your services, or date you, or hire you, or work with you on a project, or invite you on a girl's trip or maybe even just plan a play date. But something about you makes them say, no don't choose her because X,Y,Z. So be mindful of who you ignore because that person could be trying to help you and not hurt you.

I hadn't planned to get pregnant but that good old period didn't show up like it was supposed to, when it was supposed to. I was nervous and for those 6 days that I waited for either my period to come on or for a pregnancy test to show positive, I was just all over the place. If I don't do anything else, I will keep it real with you. Listen to this episode as I get very candid. Maybe you can relate. Maybe you 'll learn a lesson.

On today's episode I had to send a message to the people from my past and present who are waiting for their "piece of the pie". You know how people say, be careful what you say when you are angry? Well girlfriend, we also have to be careful what we say when we are overly excited and going after our dreams. Just handing out promises left and right. Leaving a trail of I.O.U.'s. Nah, this episode is a break down of my revelation as I reflected of where I was, where I am and where I am headed. I don't owe anyone anything. However, I will apologize for mistakenly speaking out of turn about what I was going to do for so many people. I don't owe them anything.

I am dedicating the episode to my aunt Della Renee Barrett Ingram. She passed away on Sunday February 6, 2022. She was laid to rest on Saturday February 12, 2022. Every death is not going to effect us, but when one does, it's worth talking about. In this episode, I talk about how Renee influenced me, how she wanted the best for everyone and why I would have loved for her to still be with us on this earth today. I love you. I miss you. You will always be a part of me.

Have you ever felt like you wasted your time with someone? Have you ever felt like you were taken for granted? Are you one of the people who claim to have fake friends and family members?
Well, in this solo episode I was talking about when we treat people the way that we would want to be treated but they don't respond the way that we expect them to. I am a big believer that communication is everything but so is comprehension. Instead of guessing what needs to be done or what doesn't need to be done, ask that person and save yourself the headache.
Listen in to hear how I feel about this cliche from long ago.

This episode may seem like it's starting off slow, but I am just working up to the point. I had to make some changes to my website address, not knowing that I would also have to make changes outside of the website to keep from having to pay for subscriptions that were attached to it. Then it hit me. That is the same thing that happens in life. When we are removing something or someone out of our life, we sometimes have to detach ourselves from what ever is attached to them. So, in this episode, I break down how one business decision can relate to life. I hope that you enjoy the episode.

Today's episode is with Taron "Oh, That's Stubbs" Stubbs and he talks about his life as a single father. Taron, who is known as Stubbs is College graduate, a production manager, a community activist, party host by night and also a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.
Before the conversation, I had written out my questions and although I did not share my questions with Taron beforehand, he truly over delivered in this episode. I was intrigued by his in depth description about his marriage ending, how he became a single father and how much of an inspiration his mother has been from his childhood into his adulthood. I am certain that you will have a lot of take-aways with this episode. A few things that he talked about are:
Accountability - Taron admits that his ex-wife can not take all of the blame for their divorce. He played his part too. However, he does not leave us unsure of what happened. Instead, he explains what took place and the lesson that he learned from the situation.
Responsibility - Taron talks about knowing what he had to do when it came to being the man that he aspired to be. Taron is a proactive man who thinks ahead and tries to be prepared for wherever his decisions may take him.
Gratefulness - Taron gives a lot of credit to his mother. She was a single mother and as much as she would have liked for things to be different for herself, she was the example that Taron needed when he and his ex-wife went their separate ways. Taron's mother displayed strength, determination and nurturing.
In this episode, Taron gave his mother her flowers and his ex-wife too. Like I said before, he over delivered in this episode and I am honored to have been the one to talk with him.

In this episode I was really in my feelings about being a mother. There are so many things that I went through as a child that I try to avoid having my son go through. I know that I cannot avoid everything because I don't have a crystal ball telling the exact future, but every now and then something happens and I just blame myself. On the day that I recorded this episode, I was in deep thought and I just recorded what I was feeling. Please leave some feed back and let me know how this episode made you feel. With everything in me, I want my son to have the best childhood possible. I can't change the past, but his future is looking very bright.

As much as I've tried to protect myself from getting the Corona Virus, it finally got me. I must admit that I did slip up in protecting myself, so I'm not going to blame anyone else. However, I did want to share my first day experience with you before I go back to lay down and get some much needed rest. If you are not sure that you have Covid or if you even think for a little bit that you might have it, get tested. It might be more beneficial to get a test from your doctor, but there are rapid tests at Walmart and other drug stores.
I'm feeling bad but not horrible. I don't like the covid is an absolute threat to me, so I will be filling up on liquids, Vitamin C and Vitamin D for the next few days and the days to come.
Ya'll be safe out there.

In this solo episode I talk about how things really look when we add a little accountability to the things that we go through in life. Like the people that we meet and the situations that we deal with. Sometimes we master heart ache and depression because we know how to get over it. Why do we know how to get over it? Because we've dealt with it before. We luck up sometimes and reap the benefits of making better decisions too. Why does every event that you go to, result in a new friend or business partner? Because you knew what to expect and you avoided the events that would give the opposite of what you are looking for. Things happen to us because of chance, awareness, accountability and down right common sense.

Welcome back! A. Shellette Ingram and I joined together to talk about a parenting topic, "How our children are influenced." I needed someone else's feedback with this one so A. Shellette and I shared our thoughts about the topic and covered good ground. While some people may feel like parents are the biggest influence on their children, that is not the case. Listen in to hear what we think.
Also, on this episode, A. Shellette walks us through how she felt and what she was thinking when she was dealing with substance abuse. She tells us why she chose to do drugs and how they made her feel about everything around her. She has now released 2 books that can be purchased on Amazon. Here are the links:
The first book is titled: I can do this! How to be free from drugs.

Hey, yall. I had to do an episode about having conversations with your children about good hygiene habits. We have to make sure that they are bathing with the intention of being clean and smelling good when they get out of the tub or shower. I wouldn't want any kid to have to deal with the embarrassment of having someone say that they stink. That is one rumor that is hard to get rid of. And kids will repeat anything.

Chances are, when you do all of that, you're going to be hurting yourself and more importantly, you will be short changing the child. Tune is and let me know what you think about this episode.

It's cool to know that people are thinking of us and have our best interests at heart. Well ladies, I've been thinking and thinking and thinking about this question for a while now and I was finally able to put my thoughts into words. I just haven't heard a man ask a woman what can she bring to the table and in the end, I was satisfied with the direction that the conversation went. See, I'm the kind of woman that asks questions, when I'm not sure what you're asking me or I'm not sure that you know what you are asking me. I've gotten better with reacting more slowly to questions, rather than jumping to prove myself. Have I mastered waiting for more information before answering? No, no I haven't. Lol, But if anyone were to ask what I bring to the table, I would answer a little like the way I explain in this episode.
You know, the world has a lot of men that aren't necessarily looking for a partner to love and cherish. Some of them are looking for someone to argue with when they know that they don't have a chance at winning an argument with a man. Some of them want a woman to take advantage of so that he can try and look like he has it going on. Then there is the man that we have been waiting for. Which man is that? I can't tell you the kind of man you are looking for because I know that we are all different people looking for different characteristics, but all at the same time.

Hey, yall. Welcome back. In this solo episode, I talk about trusting people for who they really are instead of hoping and wishing that they were different. We put all of these expectations on people who have proven to us that they are not going to be who we want them to be. That's why so many people are referred to as being fake, when in actuality, they are being as genuine to their true self as they can be. It is not their fault that you wanted something different. I mean, it's really your fault. Listen in as I go further into detail.

Welcome back! On today's episode, I talk about when we feel like we are never going to find the right person for us to be in a relationship with. After trying so many times and being with someone that we think is the wrong person, we might feel like giving up. We say that we are never going to be in another relationship or we are have no more relationships in us. ( That's my favorite one. lol) Or we may even say that we are never going to fall in love again. As funny as it may seem, after the fact, we should not give up on a lot of things and love is one of them. Please enjoy this episode as I share why I think that we should all give love another chance.

On today's episode I had the absolute honor of speaking with A. Shellette Ingram about her experience with substance abuse. Before speaking with her, I was convinced that I knew how to talk to someone who has struggled. By the time the interview was over, I had been educated on what to say without offending someone who is currently struggling with substance abuse or someone who is nearing the end of their struggle. This is why I really wanted to speak to a person who had experienced it first hand.
A. Shellette is a mother, a sister, a friend, an advocate for people who want to change their life and and inspiration to so many others. I know that you will enjoy this conversation as much as I did, if not more.

July is Minority Mental Health Awareness month. On today's episode I have a very special guest by the name of Treenece Swint. Treenece is a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. Her abuse began at the age of 4 by multiple people and it finally stopped at the age of 13 when she became pregnant.
She has had to deal with PTSD, depression, anxiety and panic attacks since it all started. A lot of people are always saying that women should speak up when they are being sexually assaulted, however, when Treenece was pregnant at the age of 13 and her mom went to the police to report what had happened, nothing was done to resolve the issue.
Treenece has written a book about her experience and the book is called “Still Standing”. It can be purchased on her website Imstillstanding/llc.org
Three take-aways from my conversation with Treenece are:
After a traumatic experience you have to unlearn unhealthy behaviors that you use to cope with what happened to you.
You can’t heal what you don’t reveal.
We are over-comers through other people’s stories.
I was reading the different kinds of mental illnesses from an article on the website BetterHelp.com
July is Black Mental Health Awareness month.

In this episode I talk about the importance of knowing if your sex is on the same level as your partner. Better known as sexual compatibility. There is a reason why your vagina does not get moist. There is a reason why your body sends signals right before sex. We have to remember that there are lot of factors that have a role in making us choose someone to be with. If you have too many differences, then your sex life with each other could be over real soon.
Sexual compatibility does not just deal with oral sex or penetrative sex. What does the person like to do, leading up to sex? Do they like to cuddle? Do they like to kiss? What are their likes and dislikes during sex? Is there anything that you don't want to happen after sex?
These are just a few questions to ask yourself. And it is hard to find out your compatibility if you're not actually having sex. So, "no sex before marriage" is going to have you risk having regret later.

I had a fun filled weekend during this Memorial holiday. I really worked my body and got in some exercise. Although I was hurting afterwards, I still had things to do, so that's when I got my rest and I knew that I had to build up my energy again. Can't stop now.

Hey, y'all. So, my boyfriend and I did a thing yesterday. We installed 2 of our 4 vending machines and started our own business. We are our own couples goals and have a lifetime of other goals to accomplish. You don't have to be in a relationship to make something happen, but goals are goals are goals and whether you meet those goals on your own or with someone else, I am proud of you in advance. Happy Tuesday today and every Tuesday.

On today’s episode I had the honor of sitting with someone I used to work with when I was a cosmetologist. It’s always good to be able to keep in touch with people from an important time in your life. My very special guest is Ciara “Cece” White. She is an awesome mother, a master hair stylist, master colorist, master cutter and an absolute Boss when it comes to her business, her life, her son.
Cece spoke to me about her weight loss. She explained why she did not choose to have surgery for her weight loss, why she decided it was time to make a change and how she is staying disciplined so that she can reach her goal weight.
We also talked about Mental health issues in the black community and gave our perspective on why we believe that more black people do not speak about any issues that they are having.
This episode is an eye opener and you do not want to miss it.
Cece uses the weight loss app, Lose It and she does intermittent fasting from 12:00 noon - 6:00 pm.
She drinks 1 gallon of water per day and walks often at her own pace.
Psssssst. Cece and I had a few laughs and giggles. Let me know if you laughed too.**
This is how you can reach Cece:
Phone: 336-989-0294 Text for appointments
Hours: Thursday – Friday 8:30 am-3:00 pm
Saturday 8:30 am – 12:00 pm
Cece is offering 1 on 1 cut and color classes on Sundays, beginning May 2, 2021. There will not be a class on May 30, 2021. This is for licensed hair stylists. The class will last 4 hours and the cost is $350.

Today I take a moment to talk about how a lot of us are quick to point out what we think is wrong with our appearance. Maybe we want to let other people know that we aware of what we think that they might call a flaw. There isn't any reason to do that, though. Let's not pick ourselves apart in hopes of someone else not doing it for us. From now on, either embrace how you look or change it. But keep in mind that the very thing that you might think is wrong with you, is what someone else thinks is perfect.

On today’s episode, I have a very special guest who educates us on different types of natural wellness and natural health. Talea Colquitt, owner of Garden of Healing LLC, is a mother of 3 beautiful children, has been in North Carolina for 25 years by way of New Jersey, will be 30 years old in May of 2021 and she successfully operates a business that offers products for total wellness of the body.
Talea discussed a few helpful topics, such as:
How having a meatless diet can help manage a lot of illnesses that we experience, simply by allowing the body to expel toxins. Even if you do not choose to go meatless long term, the effects are still beneficial.
You do not have to buy expensive waters that are labeled as alkaline. Spring water is already alkaline and contains many of the minerals that our bodies need.
Having faith in God will allow you to maintain your peace and get out of situations that you need to be delivered from.
Talea suggests that we read, “Battlefield of the Mind” by Joyce Meyers.
This is how you can get in contact with Talea Colquitt to purchase her natural products and ask any questions that you may have.

Tomorrow isn’t promised and we have a lot of living to do right now. So, stop making excuses for everything. There is a lot of comfort in excuses and we can get used to making excuses because it allows us to procrastinate but it believe it or not, if you haven’t noticed already, excuses waste time. Time that we were never promised anyway. All of the great plans that you’ve had but never acted on, are going to end up being someone else’s ideas and they are going to blow them out of the water. If you can think it, you can do it. Or at the very least, you can find someone to help you get that idea off of the ground.
There is a difference between an excuse and a reason, but don’t let your excuses keep you from being your very best. Will everything always work in your favor? Of course not. It’s not supposed to. We are made to learn, even if we learn from our own mistakes. Take a chance at something today. You’ll be glad that you did.
Here’s a few things that you can do while you’re at it.
When you have an idea or plan, write it down.
Planning how things should go will trip you up and may even hold you back, so get a rough draft idea of what you want to happen and just go.
After that, you will have a better idea of how to approach your idea and how to make it better.
If you don’t like my first three suggestions, then come up with your own, but get up off your behind and make something happen. NO MORE EXCUSES!!!!
I have an e-book that you can download that will help you with setting goals and getting your ideas off of the ground. It is detailed and has helped other people have “Aha” moments that gave them more clarity. Get yours now by clicking here.

On today’s solo episode I discuss being specific about what you like about yourself. I want you to take pride in yourself and not be afraid or ashamed of being so dang flattered by yourself. I also mention that I believe more women should compliment each other because even though we are wonderfully made, there is a time or two when we’ve wanted to look like someone else or wanted to be like someone else. Since we can only be ourselves, why not tell another woman just how beautiful, smart, confident, brave, and inspiring she is? Great idea, right?

Hurt people, hurt people. But sometimes, hurt people are only hurting themselves. Which people am I talking about? Well, I'm glad you asked. I'm talking about the single mothers who want to make their children(s) dad's life miserable. Girlfriend, look. That takes too much energy and too much time. Trust me on this one. I've been there before and I stayed there way too long. Get your life together. YOUR LIFE! Get that thang together so that you can be happy no matter what he is doing.
In today's episode I am sharing why it is best to aim for being happy without trying to bring somebody else down. It is not worth the trouble of worrying about somebody else.

*The first recording had errors. I fixed those errors and this is the better version
This is the audio from a video that came up on my Facebook memories and I enjoyed the message so much that I decided to share it on YouTube. I really hope that ya'll enjoy it. Imagine knowing that you have a problem or a bad habit and you need help. Or imagine you don't know that you need help but help is on its way and you agree to try and change. So, you do change for the better. You are proud of your self and want to keep doing good. But, now what? The time that it took for your transformation is over and you must go. But, go where? Dun, dun, dunnnnnnnn. Home. You have to go back home to the same problematic things and people that you were trying to escape from. There are a lot of people who want to be better, but their options are slim. It seems pointless to get help and still have to go back home. If you know someone who needs an intervention, don't be the reason that they need help anyway. Don't nag them. Don't enable them. Don't be in the way.
I believe that it will be very beneficial if everyone involved with the person getting help, was required to get help also. Not so much mandatory, but if they decline going then new shelter and location should be provided to the person who gets the help. This way they either go back home to people who wanted to get better with them or they don't have to go back there at all. Leave a comment below and let me know what you think of this message in the video.

In this episode, I talk about how being impatient can cause you to end up with something that you do not want. Like the time you bought some shoes that were too small because you just had to have them, only to find them 2 weeks later at a lower price and the right size. But, you're unable to return the small pair. There are have been times when I felt like I knew what I wanted and I wanted it right then. I'm talking about relationships, places to eat, clothes, jobs and whatever else we have to decide on in life. In 2016, when it came time to purchase another vehicle, my cousin stepped in and made me wait instead of taking whatever vehicle I could drive away in. I didn't want to wait, but I'm glad that I did. How many times have you been impatient? When was the last time you took what you could get instead of waiting for what you really wanted?

I had to speak on a subject that bothers me, especially since I am a mother who is currently in a co-parenting situation. I saw a post on Facebook that said, "Some people think that they had dead beat fathers. Whole time, the mother was keeping him away." Just because someone made that post, it allowed actual dead beat dad to step up and be like, Ohhhhh yeah, that sounds like me. Nah, it ain't you homeboy. In this episode I talk about what I went through when I tried to keep my son to myself. His dad wasn't having it. But I also talk about my relationship, or lack there of, with my own dad. Two different men with two different mind sets and I was there to witness it.

Boundaries, boundaries, boundaries. I discussed having your own boundaries in episode #6, but we can't talk about our boundaries without talking about everyone else's. No, we are not the only people who have lines that can't be crossed. Respect is a two way street. Are we perfect in respecting other people boundaries? No and we don't always notice it neither. That's why I had to make a part 2 for boundaries. In this episode I will talk about:
Learning about yourself when dealing with other people.
Do not treat people the way you want to be treated.
Listen to what they are telling you.
Don’t take it personally if they cut you off for their own peace. It’s not about you.
They might rub off on you in a good way.

How adult family members talk to each other.
Why you might be or might not be the reason people do not come around any more.
How the behavior is passed down.

Are you having a hard time telling people no? Do you feel like people take advantage of you? If you answered yes to either of those questions then you should definitely listen to this episode about setting boundaries and letting them be known. I used to get carried away with smiling when I should have been cussing somebody out. Or being overly nice when I should have stopped people from disturbing my peace. It's tough when you want to be the bigger person, see the good in people and try not to step on any toes. That may sound good, but when is it too much?
In this episode I discuss:
What boundaries are.
Why we need to have boundaries.
What to say when someone crosses a boundary that you haven't made clear yet.
Why you should not feel guilty for making sure that people do not take advantage of you.
I also talked about telling people no.

In today's conversation we are talking about first impressions and why it is not a good idea to be the worst version of yourself the first time that you meet someone. Unless you are speaking with a therapist, counselor, mentor or someone in a similar profession, do not expect people to just accept you for who you are and try to adjust. Instead, bring the best representation of yourself and then act accordingly.
We talk about ways to release negative energy and also how to make sure that the people you do like, know what keeps you in a good mood.
