TechTalks are a new initiative led by the Rotman Commerce FinTech Association that seeks to create an approachable and accessible environment for University of Toronto students to engage with industry professionals and academics from a variety of backgrounds to understand technology’s growing impact and influence on the financial sector. Over the course of the 2020-2021 academic year, we'll be delivering workshops, keynote and panel sessions, and podcasts with experts from diverse backgrounds ranging from Real Estate technology to corporate law!

On February 27th, RCFTA and RCLA (Rotman Commerce Law Association) hosted an online event where students listened in on a discussion and asked questions about RegTech and LegalTech. We explore how changing technologies are being applied towards regulation and oversight in Canadian financial markets, as well as traditional legal practices in real estate, criminal, and corporate law.
