Hannah busts some myths surrounding migraine and chronic pain; shares insight about how the diagnosis has affected her life; things she wishes she knew about treatment options before her migraines became chronic; shares the best advice she has received.

The intention of this episode is to raise awareness of chronic migraine syndrome, a condition which is defined by having migrainous headache on at least 15 days per month, as well as episodic migraine.

If you have been struggling with migraines, please get in touch with your GP to discuss treatment and preventative action as soon as you can.

Caritas Neuro Solutions is an independent Clinical Research Company and we do not offer medical advice. Please talk to your local GP or local recovery centre to get support if you are struggling with alcohol or substance use.

In this episode, our host Bethany Thomson talks to Bruce Rose from Alcohol Recovery Scotland about the Sinclair Method as a potential alternative approach to recovery from alcohol dependency.

Bruce Rose has spent most of his life working in recovery in search for the best solution to alcohol dependency. Alcohol Recovery Scotland is the only recovery organisation in Scotland that utilises the Sinclair Method. Although the existing abstinence-based models have been largely successful, different people may require different approaches to treatment. Alcohol Recovery Scotland are exploring a whole person-centred approach in treating their clients. First, treating the neurological imbalance which makes one prone to alcohol dependency with medicinal intervention whilst simultaneously providing talking therapies to treat the psychological impact of addiction. This unique approach to addiction is backed by 125 clinical trials and is used around the world.

Welcome to the first episode of the Caritas Neuro Solutions Podcast!

We are a clinical research company making a difference through a truly person focussed approach to research. We are trialling novel approaches to treatment regimes and working with experts to drive forward developments in the field of neurology, mental health and wellbeing.

To kick off the Podcast, Bethany talks to our CEO about the mission at Caritas Neuro Solutions, what gives us hope for future treatments, the psychedelic renaissance and the potential of the mind for healing.

Leigh Fell has worked in clinical trials for the past decade and made the decision to start her own research company that really looks after its people. Following all her work in cancer research, Leigh found that neurological and mental health research was seriously neglected in new innovative treatments and interest. Caritas aims to become a part of the force which brings clinical research on our mind and brain, up to speed with research into treatments for cancer.

Caritas is leading the way in developing new strategies for mind and brain medicine.
