Phone numbers have remained virtually unchanged: they’re a series of numbers that represent a person’s location within the fabric of the phone network. In other words, when somebody dials your number, your phone magically rings!
It may sound easy, but there is A LOT of work that happens behind the scenes. It involves a process called Number Porting.
Today I am joined by Fred Wadia, he is a Number Porting Specialist at Voyager. Fred has been doing this for nearly 15 years, and today he’s going to pull back the curtain on phone number porting.
Deep dive today with Nathan Kennedy and Logan Jessop. These fine dudes are Scrum Masters at Voyager and, to quote the Scrum guide, they are accountable for the scrum team’s effectiveness.
They walk the walk, everyday.. or rather, on a fortnightly schedule. We’ll plunge head first into the details and hear all about the inner workings of their 2 weekly sprint cycles, managing multiple teams, and how they ended up becoming Scrum Masters of the Universe (at Voyager).

This episode I speak with Daniel Stastny. Daniel is an Agile coach with years of experience in both Agile as well as traditional project management.
We discuss all things Agile, its values, the benefit for companies to embrace it for themselves, and we even talk about the time Daniel spent in the Mt Eden Prison.
Meet Siggy. She is a Software Engineer at Voyager, working in the Voice Tribe. Siggy has the uncanny ability to see the logic in almost everything. Not just lines of code, but real tangible things, like coffee machines and even drones. She is able to pull something apart, figure out what it does, and put it all together in a way that is practical for someone to use.
Despite being buried under machinery parts or lines of code, she very clearly understands the needs that customers have. This is her story.
There is one role that often gets overlooked in an Agile organization… I’m referring of course, to the C.E.O. Granted, they may not be able to give you a detailed breakdown of how Scrum works, but they must always have that customer first mindset, that vision of tomorrow, and that insatiable drive for growth. Today I speak with Alf Wallis, CEO of Voyager. We discuss the origins of Voyager’s Agile journey, where the company is today, and his vision for tomorrow.
