Dan and Beth have a combined experience of over five decades in business with a heavy retail background. Currently they work for themselves running several ventures.
It's a busy day on this Monday following the collapse of SVB. The Feds have stepped in to assure us that all deposits - no matter the amount - that were in Silicon Valley Bank will be covered. Depsite that there has been another bank failure, and more are likely on the way. Meanwhile, my experience interacting with the Etsy seller community (covered in my stream this past Saturday) showed just how shaky the ground is on which so many small businesses are built. In this video I break all this down and give my thoughts on the state of things.

Meanwhile the Etsy selling community is in a panic as many deposits have been held up by this failure. Once I saw the vote the last few days, I was predicting Kari Lake would lose to Katie Hobbs. To be clear, not the result I wanted, but a Kari Lake win was not looking likely. Last night they called the race for Hobbs. To be fair, Lake has not conceded and will likely fight this. But all that aside, there are things we need to understand from here if we are going to stop disasters like these midterms from happening again. This doesn't just apply to Arizona. Finally... election day is here! While you may be excited for it to be over, the truth is the election means it's time for us to perform our most sacred duty to the country. But you should not enter this day uninformed! In this video Dan covers some stories from the last 24-48 hours that he feels are important for you to consider as you cast your vote today.
Yesterday Producer-Wife Beth received a flier in the mail that cast Arizona Senate Candidate Blake Masters as dangerous. The flier portrayed Masters as an anti-abortion zealot and featured several quotes of Blake saying anti-abortion things. The problem is his quotes were completely misrepresented. In this video Dan fact checks the entirety of this anti Blake Masters flier so we can all decide if he's dangerous as accused. He also talks about what this says about the state of our politics as a whole.
It appears that Russian President Putin has deployed the Belgorod Submarine, which is the newest in his fleet and the longest known sub in the world. Dubbed the "City Killer," The Belgorod is believed to carry a new weapon, known as Poseidon, which is designed to cause tsunamis that would destroy and irradiate coastlines. In this video Dan discusses the news of this sub putting to sea and reflects upon what it all likely means in light of the slew of recent events involving the Russia-Ukraine war.
It's true my friends... Jennifer Lawrence has nightmares. In a "stunning" admission, Lawrence admitted to what 100% of the world already knows. Bad dreams happen! But the fun doesn't stop at nightmares in a recent Vogue interview that can best be described as unhinged. In this video Dan breaks down the interview and discusses how perhaps we need to stop looking at the Hollywood elites for our information, thoughts, and ideas, because if Jennifer Lawrence is an example of their collective wisdom, then they have none at all.
Last night we were all treated to a Joe Biden primetime speech. In his address Biden went on the attach against so-called MAGA Republicans and the danger they supposedly represent. In truth, if you dig into the speech, Joe Biden is actually telling more of a tale of himself and the democrats. In this video Dan expounds on this idea as well as pointing out how little knowledge Biden seems to possess about our Constitution and now the United States actually works.
At 8:16am today, YouTube censored me. My video regarding Steven Crowder being removed was itself removed, and YouTube issued a warning to my channel. In this video I discuss being censored, what I did about it, and how it proves the points I've been making in recent videos about YouTube.
In another strong move, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announces voter fraud arrests as a result of investigations by the Florida Office of Election Crimes and Security team. A total of 20 people are being charged for fraudulent voting as they were barred due to crimes that were committed. In this video Dan discusses the DeSantis announcement about the arrests and talks about why it's important not only for Florida but for the US as a whole.
Louder With Crowder SUSPENDED! Steven Crowder and his show Louder With Crowder has been suspended from YouTube over an interview they did recently with Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake. Crowder's show is under fire from YouTube because Lake expressed her concerns over a certain event from 2020. In this video Dan discusses the suspension as well as Facebook temporarily banning Libs of TikTok. He then delves into what all this says about free speech heading into the midterms and what we should do to respond to the throttling of conservative voices.
Breaking news... Anne Heche dead. Heche was removed from life support today after suffering major injuries from crashing into a house a week ago. While we can rightfully point out that she did this to herself, we also need to show some grace. In this video Dan discusses this breaking news of Anne Heche's death and makes his argument for grace in our reaction.
Recently Harpeth Hall, an all-girls school in Nashville, announced that transgender girls will be allowed to apply to the school. Along with that statement Harpeth also made it clear that current students looking to transition to male may no longer have a place. In this video Dan discusses the announcement, delves into what it means, and makes the argument that it's time for women and girls to raise their voices and fight back against this sort of thing.
Recently Oklahoma football coach Cale Gundy resigned from his assistant position with the Sooners. This resignation was sparked by Gundy reading aloud what was displayed on a player's iPad. That player was supposed to be studying film, but instead was looking at something that displayed a banned word. In this video Dan discusses the pickle that Coach Gundy got himself into and what the response from the Oklahoma Football program tells us about the state of our society.
On Sunday the Senate passed the Inflation Reduction Act along party lines, with Kamala Harris breaking the tie. Immediately after passing this act, the media went to work fast to rebrand it as a "health care, climate, and tax bill." This is likely do to the fact that it will do nothing to actually reduce inflation. In this video Dan shows you the rebranding efforts and delves into a few examples of how the bill does nothing to reduce inflation but rather increase the power of the federal government.
Word can down on Monday that Georgia is going to allow tax deductions for fetuses. The idea is that their in light of Roe v Wade going away, their laws recognize the fetus as a person and as such would be a deduction for the parents. Of course the internet is upset with Georgia for this. In this video Dan delves into the tax deduction for fetuses idea and gives this thoughts on what it all really means.
Much fuss is being made from the Gordon Ramsay Lamb video on TikTok where he calls several lambs "yummy" and asked who's going in the oven first. So many think he's cruel, but the truth is Ramsay actually ends up illustrating how disconnected we are from our food sources. The talk on much of the interwebs this morning is "Tim Pool shuts down stream." In an abrupt, stunning move, Tim ended the TimCast live stream mid-conversation last night. Turns out that he shut down the stream due to a comment made by his guest. In this video Dan discusses what happened, why Tim chose to do what he did, and what it says about the state of censorship right now.
Candidate for governor of New York Lee Zeldin was attacked while giving a stump speech. Within hours his attacker was released on his own recognizance, as Zeldin himself predicted after he was attacked. The July 4th Highland Park shooting is setting the internet ablaze with yet another discussion of mass shootings, guns, violence, and the like. While much of the online community will rush to blame the guns and call for yet more controls, the real issue is family. The Roe v Wade overturning fallout continues as a Louisiana judge blocks Louisiana abortion trigger law from going into affect. In this video Dan covers this breaking news and explains why if you are intellectually honest about the Supreme Court's abortion ruling then you'll understand how this action in Louisiana regarding the trigger law is consistent with that ruling.
Pro-choice claims to want... well... choice. But the truth is abortion is the final choice in a larger series of choices. In the wake of Roe being overturned, Dan had a social media exchange where he brought up this point. A family member claimed that they did not understand. In a shocking yet not shocking admission, USA Today removes 23 articles for its website after an investigation shows that one of its reporters, Gabriela Miranda, used fabricated sources in her work. How could it be that 23 articles had to be published before USA Today figured things out? If major outlets like the LA Times can opening state that it's acceptable to make fun of death then we've completely lost civil discourse. Michael Hiltzik should be ashamed. The Novak Djokovic Australia Visa saga came to an end as a judge reinstated the visa, but did it really end? The fact that there's volving covid-19 science is not surprising. Proper science should always evolve and grow. That's ultimately how we'll gain the best understanding of Covid-19. How you present new data though is important. Dan and the Producer-Wife Beth discuss a recent job fair at the Denver Airport. They had 1,000 jobs to fill and expected 5,000 people to attend, but only 2% of that total showed up. The dynamic duo spend both segments two and three talking about Etsy, their CEO Josh Silverman, and their recent business strategies. The two are shareholders as well as Etsy shop owners, and they break things down from both perspectives in two separate segments.

Dan lets his frustration boil over as shortages, delays, and other issues continue to mount across the country, causing him to question the direction of the United States and its leadership.
