Her master’s degree and early therapy years focused on issues related to speech communication disorders and Assistive Technology. Working in school districts in three states, she has overseen speech and related services departments such as occupational therapy, physical therapy, vision instruction, and music therapies with her last position in a school district responsible for providing special education services for over 3,330 students in a district of 45,000.

Dr. Jerod Phillips Sr. is a Principal at the elementary level in Delaware. He stepped into this role halfway through June 2021 after being the Assistant Principal at the same school since July 2018. He is passionate about developing positive public relations between the district, school, students, parents and the overall community. As a result of Dr. Phillips’ journey from teacher to Principal while being connected, he believes that being a connected educator can help take one’s career to unprecedented heights. Dr. Phillips is the Delaware National Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year for 2021. He started his podcast journey as one of the three co-hosts of the podcast, Speaking Educationally. He has a B.S. in Finance and Banking from Delaware State University, a M.S. in Educational Leadership from Purdue University, and his Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership and Management at Capella University. Dr. Phillips is a proud husband and father of 3 (2 daughters and 1 son), and he is very active in his church.

He regularly addresses an array of academic, government, social, and business groups, including appearances at the White House, the United Nations, Harvard University, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, the National Association of State Directors of Special
Education, and the State Departments of Education across the US. His work addresses the challenges of all disabilities, uniting the efforts of diverse groups to achieve substantive, systemic change. Dana Goodier has served as a World Languages and English teacher and middle school administrator for over 22 years. She completed her EdD in Educational Leadership in early 2020. Building off of her own growth as a teacher, she is dedicated to providing schools with techniques to minimize off-task behavior and to increase time on task.
She is the author of "Out of the Trenches: Stories of Resilient Educators" and the host of the podcast Out of the Trenches. In the recently published book, Dana shares her stories of coming out of the trenches as an educator, and how resilience in different educational settings despite challenges has helped her thrive.

Matt Cicoria is a behavioral and educational consultant in private practice, providing services to school and community settings in New Hampshire and Vermont. Matt earned his B.A. in Psychology at the University of New Hampshire, and then his M.S. in Psychology at Auburn University. After graduate school, Matt went to work in the field of Developmental Disabilities, working in both community and residential settings. In 2002, Matt earned his Board Certified Behavior Analyst certificate, and in 2007, he started an independent consulting practice, Positive Behavioral Outcomes, LLC. Through this company, Matt has consulted with hundreds of students’ teams across northern New England.
As a dissemination project, Matt created The Behavioral Observations Podcast in February of 2016. The podcast publishes long-form interviews with leading behavior analysts where current topics in the field are discussed in a casual format. Since its launch, the show has been downloaded almost 3.8 million times, and has reached audiences in over 100 countries. Matt, along with Dr. Lisa Britton, is the author of Remote Fieldwork Supervision for BCBA© Trainees. He lives in New Hampshire with his wife and three children.

In Celebration Episode 1, we celebrate all those out there in Education Land for making it through an incredibly challenging 20/21 school year. You deserve to celebrated! We also have TJ Warren, a school principal, on to share his incredible journey having worked in all of the levels of the public school system, K to 12. Although his main purpose for coming on the show was to acknowledge his hard working staff and celebrate all their efforts, he was really surprised when some of his staff jumped on to do the same for him.
