We love Denton and want everyone who lives here to experience the life-changing Gospel of Jesus! Our gatherings are at 10:30am every Sunday at 112 W. Oak St. #200 on the square in Denton. Everyone is welcome and we would love to see you there!
In this sermon, Pastor Kevin Fontenot gives us a vision for the next 4-6 months at City Church.
Discipleship is on-the-job training that happens through an authentic life-on-life relationship where the disciple maker models to the disciple what it looks like to love God and love others.
Today racism still exists in individual, systemic, and systematic forms. One of our jobs as Christians is to point to this injustice and sin in order to reveal the beauty of a coming King who will make all things new.
The early church was pro-life from the womb to the tomb and didn’t worry about forcing their ethic on those who did not follow Christ. Instead, they changed the world by living out a pro-life ethic.
Here are some of the questions that we'll be answering during this sermon:
We must not buy into an individualistic dogma where we believe that we have everything figured out on our own. We must question our opinions and not be afraid of where that process leads us.
We have a common purpose and the Church must stop looking for reasons to be divided, and instead look for reasons to be united.
Too often we’re stuck staring into the sky waiting for Jesus to return instead of fulfilling what he has already called us to do.
Our goal isn’t to get people to believe, it’s to help them become authentic disciples of Christ, and live missionally themselves.
Jesus’ resurrection is not a small part of Christianity; it is the pinnacle of Christianity.
As we enter into Passion week, I want us to remember that Jesus’ death and resurrection are primarily about His kingdom being inaugurated.
"Practical holiness has its foundation in knowing who God is."
After hearing this message we would like to encourage you to spend time listening to this playlist based on these passages of Scripture throughout this week.

The question that I ultimately want to explore today is this: How will we respond to Jesus?
There is a battle that rages and we must make ourselves aware of the enemy and become a threat to his kingdom and plans.
Becoming an authentic disciple of Jesus doesn’t happen accidentally — it is something that we must do on purpose.
Christmas is not about presents, or lights, or family, or friends. It is about the Son of God becoming man so that men might become sons of God.
As we’ve made our way through Advent, I can’t help but recognize just how revolutionary Jesus is. Jesus has come to overthrow every kingdom, every social order, and everything else that distracts us from his purposes.
We're continuing our Advent series titled Hope: Everything Is Going To Be Alright with a message on the hope that we have in the promise of God through Jesus Christ.
