So, finally, it is the Colorado Mountain snow that brings me luck!
I was truly awestruck by the scenery on my visit to the Rocky Mountains in 2016, and yes, I managed to somewhat weave a beautiful story surrounding it.
As Delicate as Snow has been nominated for the 2021 TCK Publishing Reader's Choice Awards Contest. It is also an entry for the Kindle UK Storyteller contest.
Here's another excerpt from the story:
*Every time it snowed harder; the winds grew a little less pronounced. It was like the snow wanted to clear the atmosphere of a cutting breeze and thicken the cold air with its freezing.
This time the snow held captive the winds.
I watched its fall, sometimes in thick descent, which after a while lessened in quiet submission, bringing it to a gentle plummet.
It lay thick and deep on the ground, carpeting the whole land with glistening silkiness.
The snow, as blissful as it were, was my antidote to a distracted mind.*
