We all have many times when we just can't seem to say or think of anything when we know we should pray to God. Luckily Jesus has a gift for us.

We all want to hear from God the Holy Spirit in out lives. Pastor Steve gives some help in the way of warnings and what it typically looks like to be led by God or to hear from God personally.

A Gathered Church plus a Scattered Church and a time with Jesus
Every Christian gets discouraged when hearing and seeing the various narratives of the world around us. Remember that God has given us "The Gathering", "The Scattering" and the "life of the spirit within us".
The Facts of Salvation
- All people have sinned (for all have sinned and fall short. Romans 3:23)
- The penalty is death. (The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus.)
- Jesus paid the penalty. (But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
So to become a Christian means a willing response to the goodness where we see ourselves as sinners who cannot save ourselves and place our confidence in Jesus to save us. It's saying "yes" to Jesus. Yes to his sacrifice for us personally. Yes to belief in him. Yes to receiving him.
What do I want you to know? The foolishness of worrying.
What do I want you to feel? You can do this with a plan and practice.
What do I want you to do? Go in to a room and dump the anxiety on God.

When it comes to doubts about God’s faithfulness in our lives, we all have them. There are times, maybe even long seasons, when we feel God isn’t showing up like before. I say “like before” because we all have memories, stories, and the accompanying emotions when God has shown up big time - and wowed us. But perhaps it doesn't seem that way anymore. Three thoughts to consider.
From Hebrews 12:1-16
How does a Christian think and act when they are betrayed? What does a disciple do when they are wounded by the unfaithfulness of a friend, colleague or family member?

We all have certain sins in our lives that are troublesome. Areas or habits that we can't seem to get victory over even though we've tried for years. The Bible calls these "besetting sins". Perhaps like me, you can identify. Is there God's grace to overcome in these areas and habits? Is there a grace that will purge me from these troubling patterns? In the coming weeks, this series hopes to give understanding and help to getting growth and freedom at last!
Everyone knows the power of a turning point in their life. It's usually a positive thing that has happened and indicates a real change to their life. The Thessalonians has "turned from idols to serve the living God" and Paul said it had become know throughout. Today we'll look at what a turning point is and some practical advice on how to experience the next one.

God calls all of us at times to a new level of living meant to satisfy, thrill and change us. As you look toward the new year, be excited, be positive and be challenged! God has something He wants you to look at in order to "work it out" carefully. He calls us all to come up higher!
