On Keep It Positive, Sweetie, Tyler Perry recently gave his opinion on how couples should divide expenses. The actor and director opened the discussion by stating that Black women make more money than Black men do. He continued by saying that, in his opinion, it shouldn't be an issue if a man makes less money than his partner as long as he treats her well and makes a contribution.
"A lot of women, especially Black women, and I might get in trouble for saying this but I will," he began. "In our society right now, Black women are making a lot more money, for the most part, than Black men." Perry continued, "If you can find love, if that man works at whatever job and is a good man, and is good to you, and honors you, and honors the house, and honors his wife, and does what he can... because his gift might not be your gift, that is okay. That's not somebody that's beneath you. That's somebody who came to love you at your worth."

After a disagreement, Porter allegedly beat up his girlfriend, former WNBA lottery selection Kysre Gondrezick, in the Times Square hotel room they were staying in while on vacation, according to reports. Porter was detained on Monday.
Porter is allegedly guilty of a number of offenses, including assault and strangling, according to Gondrezick, who is now reportedly pursuing domestic violence charges for the event.
The Houston Rockets management released a statement saying, “We are in the process of gathering information about the incident involving Kevin Porter Jr. “At this time, we have no additional comment.”
The Rockets have good reasons for delaying comment on Porte for the time being. And to Kysre Gondrezick’s family? Now is the right time for them to start.
The shocking allegations of abuse made against Kysre Gondrezick by Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. are drawing a response from her family. and the most venomous language is being used to convey that response.

The revelation that the former head coach of the Boston Celtics had an affair with a married member of his staff set off a turbulent series of events for him. His firing and the end of his engagement with Long were the results of the fling. According to some sources, the two may be on the road to reconciliation and have put the transgression behind them. "The way [the cheating story] came out, it was so disrespectful to their family," a purported unidentified friend of Nia Long reportedly told Media Takeout. And, based on Diggins-Smith's recent statements, it seems like the two sides will have to bridge a vast distance if the 33-year-old point guard ever returns to play for the Mercury.
Responding to a fan's tweet about how the Mercury Twitter account didn't welcome Diggins-Smith on her birthday, the experienced floor general went on to discuss some issues she's had with the team over the last year or two.
To begin, Skylar Diggins-Smith explained that she hasn't been able to utilize the Mercury facilities and team services, such as the assistance of massage therapists, chiropractors, and chefs — the availability of which was critical to her attempt to get back in shape after giving baby.

A LeBron James-led team doesn't begin 0-4 often. Not since his rookie season has one of his teams stumbled out of the starting gate quite like this.
''It's a new system. It's a new group of guys together,'' James explained. ''We're still trying to get familiar with one another.''
Nikola Jokic had 31 points and 13 rebounds, Jamal Murray hit a big 3-pointer and the Denver Nuggets kept the Los Angeles Lakers winless with a 110-99 victory Wednesday night.
The Lakers remain in the company of Orlando and Sacramento as the only teams yet to win this season.

After the game, though, Kerr made clear he didn’t believe the friction between Thompson and Booker on Tuesday stemmed from competitive animus alone:
Steve Kerr says that some of the frustration Klay Thompson has been feeling with his minutes-restriction and the status of his game came out tonight and played a role in his ejection.

THOMPSON TOSSED AS SUNS BLOW OUT WARRIORS.
The technical fouls were piling high in the third quarter. So was Devin Booker's point total and the Phoenix Suns' lead.
By the time the whistles finally stopped, the Suns were well on their way to 134-105 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night in a game that featured Klay Thompson's first career ejection and seven technical fouls.
Booker scored 34 points and Deandre Ayton added 16 points and 14 rebounds.
''I thought emotionally, we kept it together when it was starting to get a little squirrelly,'' Suns coach Monty Williams said. ''We were able to make enough plays during that time where we could get back to solid.''
Both teams lost their cool at various times during the third quarter, with all of the technical fouls called in less than six minutes. Thompson received two quick technicals and was ejected after having words with Booker, who also received a technical because of the exchange.
At one point during the argument, Thompson held up four fingers to signify the four championships the Warriors have won over the past decade. Those rings didn't help on Tuesday. The veteran guard finished with two points on 1-for-8 shooting, including 0 of 5 from 3-point range.
It was the five-time All-Star's first career ejection in 651 regular season games.
''I love Klay Thompson, I have for a really long time,'' Booker said. ''But that doesn't excuse us from being competitive and talking to each other. I've always admired his game, how he plays on both sides of the ball, and obviously the rings speak for themselves.
''But I'm going to bring it every time.''

Plenty of panic buttons have already been pushed among the wide swath of Los Angeles Lakers fans, but there doesn't seem to be any alarm coming from LeBron James following the 0-2 start.
The Lakers will try to soothe their fan base and iron out some shooting woes when they host the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday afternoon.
The Lakers lost their season opener at the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors on Tuesday, and then dropped their home opener to the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.
The Lakers were much more competitive against the Clippers, but still shot 9 of 45 from 3-point distance (20 percent), putting them at 22.4 percent for the season.
"Our ball club is our ball club. I'm definitely not going to sit here and harp on what we can't do every single game," James said. "That's not being a leader. What I know we can do is defend."

The seasoned guard and Russell Westbrook have a troubled past together that spans many years. They've been criticizing each other all the time, and they're not scared to bring up past grudges.
Beverley even referred to Westbrook last season as "garbage" before appearing to hold his tongue to suggest that the former MVP smells right now. No one was entirely sure how this would work now that he is teammates with Westbrook.

Do you want to live your life by design?
For the first time in history, we have more information at our fingertips than ever before. We can learn anything and everything about any topic imaginable. But what if there was a way to take this abundance of knowledge and apply it to your own life? What if you could use this information for yourself- not just for others? You can! By living your life on default, you are simply reacting to the things happening around you without taking control. Living by design is mindful and allows you to interact with the world around you instead of letting it happen passively. Your choices impact how much money is in your bank account, how healthy or sickly you are, who is in your circle of friends... The list goes on! A life by design will allow you to make better decisions that lead towards happiness and success no matter where they may be found.

This isn't just another self-help book or podcast full of empty promises; this is honest advice from someone who has been through all kinds of struggles but still managed to find their way out, thanks mainly to these simple principles, which have helped me get back up every single time.

The Sins of My Father with Samuel
The sins of the fathers are not just mistakes that the parents make. They are also the life experiences and actions that parents take which may harm their children.
When a child is born, their potential is infinite. All they need to do is grow, learn and develop. But what happens when their parents are not as great as they should be? If a parent's sin affects their child's sense of self, then it will affect them in all areas of life, from relationships to career choices.

Philippians 4:6“Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
In everything - Great and small. Let your requests be made known. Instead of anxiety, just lay the case before God, and trust him to do all things well. Let your requests be made known unto God. Three elements enter into the appeal to God: Prayer, the outpouring of the soul; supplication, stating our wants; thanksgiving; we must always come to God, not in a complaining spirit, but with thankfulness for present mercies.
