Tag along on my personal journey as a transgender woman in America. I take a humorous, upbeat approach to the challenges we face as transgender individuals! We'll discuss issues facing transgender individuals, LGBTQA+ history, tips and tricks in transition and just general gab sessions about whatever happens to be on my ADHD mind at the moment.
(PART 2 of 2) My name is Hope Alexander and I am a transgender adult woman. I came out as trans at the age of 49, married with adult kids. I had the opportunity to interview my parents just under 2 years later. My dad, Douglas, passed away 5 months after recording the interview, so this remastered audio is in his memory. I was so blessed to be loved by both of my parents, and as you can imagine, even more to have had the opportunity to talk with both of my parents candidly, before my dad's passing. My hope is that this will help trans people, as well as parents and other friends and family members of trans people to begin a path towards understanding, healing and acceptance.

We kick off season 2 with casual girl talk, mourn the end of 49 years of freedom of choice for women, and overall, just be goofy, to take our mind off of the recent current events in politics.
Hope and Jennfor together in person in Oklahoma City and talk about new jobs, divorce, discover that queso and cheese are one in the same, Hope doesn't like balls or hot avacado, and Jenn likes dad jokes and butter on her tortilla! We have no point to make, no agenda, we trash on homeless people and just basically girl talk for half an hour.
Hope and Jenn discuss Sensory Deprivation Floatation Therapy. Jenn had the opportunity to float on Friday at Float OKC in Edmund, OK and describe her first time experience. Hope explained her experience floating in Appleton, WI at Float Light. We also discussed the mental and physical benefits of floating. Special Thank you to both Float OKC and Float Light for sponsoring this episode of Simply Live! Please be sure to visit them and try floating or massage therapy!

I had planned to record my first two person podcast with my bestie, Jenn tonight, but my day took a nasty turn and I was not feeling it. With the help of a few great ladies... the people I call my friends, and my love for cooking, I was able to pull through it. Tomorrow is another day. Thanks for listening. Love You S'more! ❤️ -Hope
In Episode 1, Hope discusses Gender Identity and all that goes along with that... definitions and descriptions, and differed ways that either Misgendering or Affirmation of Gender affect transgender individuals. We would love to hear from you, with contents about the show! You can find Hope on Instagram @simplylivewithhope
Thanks for listening!

Lol... jk 😜 give it a listen and hopefully you'll come back for more! We will talk about whatever happens to be on my mind, but expect topics like LGBTQ+, Trans/nonbinary/gender expression, travel, jeeps, and being a good human!
