Time.  The crux of the matter is this: There is always...Always going to be things we have to get done, feel pressing, or seemingly demand our full attention. What is not always going to be here is our time. Actively being aware of where our time and energy goes can be key to us finding a balance in our daily lives.

We're back!

Some of these treasures even shaped different periods in our childhood, becoming inseparable from them in our memories. Do movies today still possess that long-lasting power, the ability to remain in the audience's hearts and minds for years to come?

How often do you say "I'll do it tomorrow", "I'll do it next week", or even "I'll deal with that next year?"

It's true! and it happened in an instant, just like many things life. Amaris recounts the adventures of her hiking trip, along with her brush with death. Potentially an unconventional response to a near death experience?... maybe.

Have you ever had a similar brush with death?

To be fair, I am a bit of a clumsy person, lol.  Still, an absolutely beautiful experience.

News flash: Amaris may need glasses in the future…that is, if she is unable to get her screen time under control.

Much of our life now demands the use of some sort of electronic device; finding a way to establish a balance in the midst of our digital world is and will be become increasingly important.

Today, some tips for managing your screen time will be shared, along with habits to avoid in order for said tips to work.

Do you sometimes struggle with managing your screen time as well?

NOTE:

Tip 1: Designating a screen free time zone( one for the morning and another for the night) recommended that screens be put away 1 hr before bedtime

Tip 2: Finding a screen free hobby(simply put, an activity that does not require a screen) that you enjoy. eg. art, gardening, etc.

Tip 3: Utilizing app time limitations on your phone: hint they only work if you commit to them.

Bonus tip: Use the device in a way that looking at the screen is not required.  For instance music / audiobooks/ podcasts ;)

Some of our best memories come from those last minute decisions that lead to late night food drives, impromptu waterfall visits in foreign countries, or even just fun,  whole day picnics at the park. Amaris is not sure what the exact answer to this question is, but she has enjoyed her share last minute decisions from skipping class for a movie premiere, doing college essays fifteen minutes before they're due to redecorating a room at 1 am. What are some of your favourite last minute decisions ?

Dealing with Expectations from your family, friends and, most importantly, yourself. How can you properly navigate this so that your outlook on the potential outcome of something is healthy and positive? Amaris always found it easiest to deal with potential disappointment by not believing that anything good could actually come of what she was trying in the first place. And it worked! For a long while, it really did, but gradually this negative( or just not positive) thought slipped it’s way into her perception of herself. She realized she unintentionally began to believe that she was incapable or ill equipped for most things she put her hands to in life.

"So I encourage you, we have to manage our expectations. Speak kindly to ourselves."
