The Sacred Psyche podcast explores concepts from Jungian and Archetypal psychology to give insight and context around experiences of non-ordinary states of consciousness. I discuss psychedelics, meditation, dreams, and somatic practices that produce these non-ordinary states of consciousness, and how to better understand and integrate the information and images we've received in these states. Why don't dreams make sense? They may be illogical, but they are very informative if you know how to speak their language. Intuition is key to understanding the messages sent to you through your dreams.
In order to reveal your inner cosmology, you have to get into contact with your intuition. This episode, Olivia discusses intuition as a psychological function and how to develop it. This is not your typical metaphysical take on intuition.

This episode we pick up on the topic of empowerment, which was briefly mentioned last episode. I talk about the psychological process of empowerment in daily life as well as empowerment in a broader and more divine sense. Sacred empowerment involves discovering our own myth through our inner world experiences and reducing our dependency on outer world structures and dogmas.
This is the last episode of season 1. Season 2 will begin late February.

To forgive is a very personal verb that is charged with a lot of psychic energy. Consequently, it holds the potential for the transformation of psychic patterns, which is why so many spiritual teachers preach of its necessity. However, when used casually outside of spiritual teachings, I find it to be one of the most misunderstood words. So, we are going to work through the definition of forgiveness this episode and my intention is to give you a powerful tool by the end of it.
Content warning: Brief mentions of abusive relationships.

This is the last of the foundational episodes! All subsequent episodes will be exploring why these concepts matter in daily life.
Traditionally called complexes in Jungian psychology, psychic patterns that reside in our unconscious are patterns of energy that surround an archetypal and emotional core. Ever wonder why certain topics or certain people bring out a strong emotional reaction from you? These patterns act like little personalities—little unconscious personalities. When a psychic pattern is activated, in other words, it accumulates enough psychic to kind of push at the boarder of consciousness, then it becomes a powerful influence in your life. It is often described as being in the grip of a psychic pattern, like your ego is a little doll and the psychic pattern is moving it about. High emotion and reactivity are typically the main indicator of an active psychic pattern.

Archetypes are molds of primal psychic energy, and they contain many potential images. In a way, they are the potential energies of the psyche and they exist in the collective unconscious. In this episode, I give a bite size explanation of these galactically large concepts. Like all of the first five episodes, it's intention is to set the foundation for following episodes so you can go deeper with your own insights around this language. Think of it like an audio workbook.

This episode is a quick dip into the shadow. I talk about how our individual morality is shaped by the ego-shadow dynamic, and give some brief examples. Like all of the first episodes, it is meant to set us up to take deeper dives into these realms later on in the podcast.
In this episode, I discuss the ego from a Jungian perspective. I explain the role it plays in creating our reality and how it effects our consciousness. I begin answering the questions: What happens when we experience an ego death? And why are ego deaths important to our psychic health?
In this episode I give an overview of what is to come for the first season of The Sacred Psyche. I briefly talk about psychedelics, meditation, and dreams within the context of Jungian and Archetypal psychology, but I mostly discuss the nature of reality and the psyche.
