Racing Saturday Night Style is a podcast about short track racing predominantly in Ontario with hosts, Thayne Hallyburton and Spencer Lewis.
The Boys Recap the show on the drive home! yes, it is truckcast time!!! We go over the big stories from the weekend and there are a few insider tidbits in there as well! Spencer is also trying to navigate at the same time with the expected results!
The Boys are joined by Chris Mitchell fresh off being the crew chief for Logan Boyett at the Snowball Derby. The boys discuss everything snowball derby! Surprises and disappointments along with talk of the ambience of it all. Nothing is quite like qualifying night at the Snowball Derby!
The Racing Saturday Night style podcast goes American as they launch their first US short track show as a preview for the upcoming snow ball derby in Pensacola Florida. The boys are joined by Chris Mitchell to go over the heavy hitters on the list as well as the smaller guys…everywhere you look on the entry list there is a driver who not only could win but should win. This is primed to be the race of the year!
The Boys get together and discuss the new Sunset and Sauble 6 race mini series…the tracks working together, the new province wide superstock tire rule and they finish it off with Super Late model talk. Are they dead?
Allan is given the producing reigns for this episode and he booked the Montanari brothers! Double Digit feature wins and the UNOH NASCAR scholarship winners. These kids won everything but for the championship this year….and that one was a story in and of itself. This is a special podcast! Thayne is joined by his brother Travis 50 cal Hallyburton and Kid Ruckus Ryan Semple as they talk about Velocity, the Autumn Colours Classic and a little preview of next year. Ryan also drops some big news for the Classic! It’s a quick pod but super funny!
Sunset Announcer and regular guest, Allan Lankin joins the boys to discuss the Velocity 250 as well as the way the points battle at sunset in the mini stock division played out at seasons end. Theres tons more stories and even stalk of how different the divisional car counts are in the states as opposed to here in Ontario. Allan gets a little mad at Spencer and Spencer loses his ride home!
The boys are back and joined once again by Handsome Chris Mitchell! Chris goes over the week leading up to the Jukasa APC race and all of the work associated with that, the day of practice and qualifying and then the subsequent disqualification after setting the pole time. This is can’t miss radio! The boys also chat about anything and everything racing including amalgamating the straight rail and perimiter cars. This is not one to miss!

Recent Ontario short track stories, an interesting hypothetical pertaining to other track workers being open to outside media types and we also get up to speed on the wild racing that was the Mid Atlantic Classic at Orange County Speedway in North Carolina!
