A new podcast series 'Diary of author Ashvin Raj' is on a roll!
Podcast Series: Diary of Author Ashvin Raj.
Episode: The only solution to all life problems.
Our smiles differ from one to another and so does our life and the problems it offers. The solution to all the problems is something we might have heard at least one time in our life but have been reluctant to listen to or care about. I know that because I was reluctant to heed it too. So, what is that solution? The only solution to all your problems is to 'love yourself.' The reason why we are reluctant to do it is that no one told us how. Loving yourself will not just help you rectify an error but will make sure you won't commit the same mistake again. Let's say, for example, loving yourself will not only help you to end a toxic relationship but will also help you to see the red flags when you date someone the next time.
Loving yourself will make sure that you stay healthier. When you love yourself, you will always choose things that are good for you. You will protect yourself.
Self-love will help you to define yourself which will in turn help you to understand what's for you and what's in it for you. The complexity of sacrifice and self-effacement stays out of line because you know the practicality of life. Defining or knowing yourself will add more value to your own life. You won't unnecessarily comprise anything since you are well aware of your worth.
Loving yourself will help you find yourself, and thereby value yourself and make your life ahead simple like crystal-clear water.
Stay tuned for the next episode in this podcast series 'Diary of Author Ashvin Raj' on January 14th, 2023 with another topic 'How to love yourself'

What would you like to tell your readers who are listening to this book podcast?
Reading is also an art. I can't say that I'm an optimistic reader, but such readers are the ones who never limit themselves in their life and are open to life situations. You might not be earning any money in the aspect of reading a book, but the perspicacity you can have is priceless. Remember that not everyone is a reader or a writer. Lastly, thanks for listening to my book and for all the constant support and the readers who are new to my works; welcome to the world of 'Lies of Truth.'

Usually, book series comes with the same pattern of narration in all its books. However, yours is totally against such an existent method; why?
Though the Journal narration did capture the hearts of young minds, the storylines are divided into three different time frames of the protagonist's life, which brought me to the thought of writing it by different narration to each book from different character perceptions. This widens the possibilities of making a reader hook to the storyline with their profound thoughts, making them a vital part of the story itself. I would love to explain it more, but it would end up being a spoiler; however, I can say that the second book is written in a confessional narration style, and the third book is from the third-person perspective narration.

Why did you choose a Journal style narration in the first book?
We live in a world where standing out from the crowd could only grab the attention of people. Writing a book in a journal-style with typos and errors to signify a character was not that easy. It was like a fictional character coming to its life—such a risk I took writing a realistic fiction captured the hearts of young readers in the UK & US, which brought the book to the attention of the rest of the global readers. So it really paved its purpose.

How well do you think you connected with your readers writing this book?
For most people out there, teenage was always a time where we tend to ask questions about God, listing our likeness, developing feelings, and taking decisions without a second thought. To summarise, teenage life is the time where we get to learn things from our mistakes. The portrayed character in the book is of age eighteen at the beginning of the book, and it almost covers four years of Neha's life, which is exact to be a transition from being a teenager to an adult, which we all once faced in our life. This approach helped readers to connect themselves and their life to the portrayed characterization of Neha.

Why 'My Girlfriend's Journal' is significant if it's just a characteristic representation for the series?
Though the storyline starts with the second & third book of the series, the first book is the clue to understanding how a person can change with life situations. However, as the name of the series, some lies and truths are hidden in this book. These hidden keys are the answers the readers seek to find out after reading the whole series.

How was it challenging writing a journal-style approach in a book and portraying it from a girl's perspective?
It was challenging enough to write from a girl's perspective, but then portraying Neha as she was writing her diary did help me remember the time of my teenage life and my thoughts, which I used to improvise in the character's perspectives. Writing scribbles from an early age did contribute to a great extent in writing the first book.
