The crisis in Ukraine has much to do not only with the United States' Pluto Return (transiting Pluto having come around to his own position after 240+ years) but also with the transit of somewhat-newly-discovered Eris square the US Mercury. The transit aptly symbolizes the communication-discord evident in all sorts of places, from the highest echelons of government (whereto many strange people have, as Ambrose Bierce would have said) gotten "pitchforked" into high station, down through all sorts of online precincts, all the way to the PITS (person in the street).
In this installment, YPC (Your Present Correspondent) looks at the United States' Mercury-Pluto opposition: at the United States' ongoing tendency to project its Pluto energy onto other nations and thus to see them as threatening -- all this with particular reference to the current situation in Ukraine.

I forgot to mention that Neptune-Pluto conjunctions usher in periods in which personal and social transformations often take place through artistic inspiration. The signs in which the conjunctions occur tell us about the primary direction and impetus of that inspiration.

In this episode, I take a look at the horoscope of the Mayan Long Count, which I feel tells us a lot about the connection between Mayan time-measurements and the current climate crisis.
